It's not a tabernacle, it's...
You look like this.
Just like this.
I'm going this way.
Should we show our site?
Yes, it's beautiful too.
This is where we're staying for the night.
We're close to Saint-Bruno.
Where are we exactly?
We're in Saint-Mathieu-de-Belleuil.
Saint-Mathieu-de-Belleuil, at the campsite.
Well, that works.
Campsite Alouette!
Alouette.
We just arrived.
It's 5 hours, 5 hours and a half.
We had a nice day on the bike.
A super nice day on the bike.
Well, I'm going to tell you a story.
Technically, we were going to do some paddle boarding
on the islands of Boucherville.
Yes.
That's the plan.
Initial plan since the beginning of the week.
But then I said to myself,
just paddle boarding, it's not much.
Oh no, it's never enough, just one.
So we're going to bring the road bikes.
So we're going to go bike after that.
Paddle boarding.
A bike activity.
Yes.
Not a day of biking.
No, a little hour and a half.
A little hour and a half.
A little hour and a half of biking.
We did it for 4 hours and 10 minutes.
Like idiots.
We didn't paddle board.
It's going to be another time.
Yeah, but this activity, we're not lost.
We can do it.
No, no, no, we can.
Yes, yes, it's available.
Look at our new setup.
Ah, you're no longer high.
Hey, that's cool.
Yes.
Our new carpet 2023.
It takes a carpet to say that you're a camper.
You're right.
You're used to it.
Hey, and we're lucky, we have the site 375,
which has been suggested to us.
Highly recommended.
When I said we wanted sand,
and other trees, and trees,
we want sand.
Well, it's because we're afraid,
because we don't often do private camping.
And often, there's the rope stuff.
We don't like that.
The rope stuff.
Well, the VR space.
Well, the people who are all tied up.
No, I would say that sometimes,
the sites are closed.
Sometimes, there's no hostess.
But we're going to go see.
We're going to try it.
Yeah, now it's time to take a shower,
because I have...
Wait, I have...
I had some technical problems.
You have to work as a mechanic in this time.
It's just the lack of oxygen.
Yes, I know.
Hey, I take the oil,
I put my garage on it,
and I'm going to see Émilie,
and I'm like,
everything is fixed.
Everything is beautiful.
Your brake line.
I fixed it.
So there, she did it,
and finally, I broke the brake.
Hey, but no joke,
the bike was super cool.
Yeah, we did the bike
on the southern shore of Montreal.
After that,
we did the Champlain Bridge,
the new Champlain Bridge.
In fact, you should say
which bridge we didn't do.
We almost did them all.
We didn't do the Victoria Bridge.
I think it's the only one.
So we did that.
After that,
we did the Lachine Canal,
Griffintown.
We did Habitat 67.
But it was the first time
we did a new bridge,
like a castle.
Yes.
It was that today,
the big novelty.
That's why it took longer.
So we show you some pictures,
and then we're going to take our shower,
and go to the pool.
There's a sprinter
that we're going to analyze over there.
But there's a door,
it's open.
That's cool.
We can go in there.
So...
Well...
Keep following us.
I'm thirsty.
Let's go, my friends.
Our first road bike ride
of the year 2023.
And this one,
it's been a long time
since I wanted to do it.
Because...
Because it's been a while
that we can't wait
to go ride
on the new Champlain Bridge
to enjoy the view
of the surroundings.
So today,
that's what we're doing.
We parked
in the old Longueuil,
near the marina.
And we cycled
on the cycle track
that crosses the St. Lawrence River.
In fact,
we cycled along
the maritime route
of the St. Lawrence River,
where all the boats pass
to go up the current.
And it's done.
We're on the very last
Champlain Samuel Bridge,
partially open to traffic
on June 24, 2019.
A bridge that cost
more than $4 billion
to connect Brossard
to Montreal
over 3.4 km.
And for us,
the road continues
on the Lachine Canal
from Saint-Henri
to Griffintown.
And which is,
in my opinion,
one of the most beautiful
sectors of the entire
island of Montreal
to cycle through.
Seriously,
it's really a masterpiece.
We walk along the canal,
there are a lot of people,
the atmosphere is really cool
and there are the old
renovated and reconverted
warehouses.
Remnants of the time
when the Lachine Canal
was crawling with life
with boats
full of goods.
For me,
it's really something special
and if you like cycling,
it's definitely a course
to do.
The market!
We went to the Atwater Market,
the perfect place
to take a little bike ride,
to walk a little
and eat a snack
if you want.
It's spring,
it's flower season
and it's a great place
to come and buy some.
But we, well,
we're not here for that
and we're cycling.
So we leave
and we end up
stopping on the edge
of the canal
for a picnic.
We continue our road
on the Lachine Canal
cycle track
which extends
over 14 km
between the Old Port
and Lake Saint-Louis.
The track was inaugurated
in 1977.
It is one of the oldest
cycle tracks
in the Montreal region
and it is ranked
among the most beautiful
urban circuits in the world,
nothing less.
And believe me,
it's a title
that it deserves
widely.
Well, we were
pretty much
in the heart of the Old Port
but instead of crossing it
as we did last year,
we decided to go
to the city of Havre
and Habitat 67.
This set of housing
so special
that we see
when we are in the city center
or at the Old Port.
It's cubes,
cubes distributed
on 12 floors.
Yes, 158 apartments
benefiting
from at least
a private terrace.
It's, let's say,
very special.
And the view,
on the Montreal city center,
it is completely stupid.
Wow!
And we keep riding.
We cross the Pont de la Concorde,
we see the Montreal Casino
and we arrive on
Saint-Hélène Island
at Jean-Drapeau Park.
And for us,
it's almost the end
of this beautiful bike ride.
We cross the St-Laurent river again,
this time on the Pont-Jacques-Quartier
and we go back
in our vehicle
and we go camping!
Bye-bye!
