The Seven Crimes of Humanity
is a topic that is mentioned a lot in popular culture works
from movies, comics to novels.
But have you ever wondered
why seven,
one of the most beautiful numbers
according to Westerners and Easterners,
what does it symbolize?
And where did these seven crimes come from in human society?
The Seven Crimes of Humanity
or Seven Crimes of Death
or Seven Crimes of Reincarnation
is the most well-known group of crimes in Christianity
that are too much about human passions.
According to the tradition of Christianity,
this arrangement was made by the Apostles.
Until the year 604,
Pope Gregory I
officially arranged seven types
corresponding to the names of the seven demons in hell
as opposed to the seven gods on heaven.
In the year 1589,
Peter Binsfield,
a scholar of the name list,
included lust,
anger,
greed,
and the seven sins of hell.
And these seven sins correspond to the seven demons
of the highest rank in hell
according to the concept of Christianity
or known as the seven princes of hell.
First is Lucifer,
with the sin of lust.
Lust, according to the definitions
in most books of the old days,
is considered the most serious
and the most serious sin
of the seven sins of man.
It is also considered the origin
and the cause of other sins.
In ancient Athens,
lust was considered
to be one of the biggest sins
that could make its victim feel ashamed
not because of anything happened to others
but because of the satisfaction
of the victim to himself.
In the work of Dante,
the lustful people were hanged
on stones on their necks
to bow their heads when going to hell.
And with the so-called origin
of all sins,
the corresponding demon must be the head,
or Satan.
According to Christianity,
Satan, named Lucifer,
is a god next to God,
who is very trustworthy
and gives all the work
on behalf of God.
However, due to his arrogant nature
and being deceived by power,
Satan has led a third of the gods
or so-called fallen gods
to cause a war between heaven and hell
against God and the gods
have not lost their way.
Satan is described
with a large figure,
a strong body,
and a big horn on his head.
Lucifer is associated with the sin of arrogance
because of the arrogance of himself
that he has fallen out of the grace of God.
The second is Leviathan
with the sin of jealousy.
Jealousy is a sin also formed
by lust outside of control.
It can be described as a desire
or hatred for other people's
characteristics or assets.
According to Italian philosopher
Thomas Aquinas,
Leviathan is also a living god in the 13th century.
There are three stages of jealousy.
First, the jealous person
will try to lower the reputation of others.
Next, the jealous person will start
to find joy from other people's
pain and unhappiness or sadness
about the favor of others.
Finally, there is the stage of hatred.
Jealousy is also the strongest cause
of unhappiness because it brings
unhappiness to the jealous person
In Dante's dungeon, the punishment
for jealous people is blindfolded
because they have committed a sin
when they see other people being humiliated.
Leviathan is associated with jealousy.
On the 5th day of the year,
Leviathan was created as a giant jellyfish.
However, Leviathan in the book of Psalms
is not an evil creature
but one of the creatures of the king
of the seas.
In the beginning, the king created
a male Leviathan and a female Leviathan
but because he was afraid that
the king would kill the female
and bring out its flesh during the feast.
In the Middle Ages, it also symbolized
the powerful forces that could eat the flesh
of the gods or often create
terrible waves of the sea
that could attack the coastal areas.
Now, just the name Leviathan
is enough to make hundreds of thousands of people jealous.
The third is behemoth
with the sin of anger.
Anger is a feeling of anger, hatred
and hatred for something uncontrollable.
Anger often appears in people
who have a desire to revenge.
In the most intimate form,
the anger of a person is expressed
by harm, violence, hatred
and can create long-lasting hatred.
The demon that symbolizes this sin
is the behemoth.
This is a mythical creature
mentioned in the book of Job 40-15-24.
It is a creature that has existed
since the birth of heaven
along with Leviathan and Zeus.
It is the inviolable force of the earth
and the king of the hot desert.
It also has its angelic form.
It used to be a proud cherub of God
but it has fallen and become a terrible creature.
It is listed as the sin of anger
because the Thai people believe
that the earth is the weapon of the behemoth.
The fourth is Belphegor
with the sin of laziness.
Laziness is defined as a sadness
for the spiritual benefit.
It is to stop using the seven gifts
given by the God of God
including wisdom, understanding,
law, knowledge, morality,
This sin is also defined as failure
in doing things that humans should not do.
According to this definition,
evil exists because good people do nothing.
Unlike other sins,
laziness is seen as the sin of immorality
which is to leave the responsibility of oneself.
The demon that represents laziness
is Belphegor.
It is probably the most mysterious demon
among the seven princes of hell.
However, according to many sources,
it is called the most ridiculous demon
because it can affect the mind of humans,
The fifth is Memento
with the sin of laziness.
According to the description of the Church,
laziness is a desire to fake
and always chase after the substance.
Thomas Aquinas once wrote that
laziness is a sin against God
like other sins in the Bible.
This sin is as serious as humans
condemning immoral things
for the benefit of temporary things.
The sins of laziness often include
copying documents or objects.
Abuse is done by people
in the form of violence,
deception, manipulation
and acts based on greed.
Laziness is a limitless desire of humans
to have one or more than one need
especially for wealth and material things.
The demon that represents laziness
is Memento.
In the Bible, Memento is used to imply
the wealth and material things
and the greed of humans
or a force that can cause wealth.
In the Middle Ages,
laziness was humanized into a demon
and the greatest sin of Memento
may have affected the mind of humans
causing people to hate each other
and become lazy,
turning the cleanest people
into non-materialists.
The sixth one is Beelzebub
with the sin of laziness.
Laziness represents a desire to be
obsessed with food
and that desire gradually becomes
the source of evil.
The desire to eat excessively
can lead to selfishness
which can cause people to harm each other
by eating excessively
or even eating too early.
The demon that represents greediness
is Beelzebub.
But if you think he looks like a pig
or a big animal,
Beelzebub is called the demon of laziness.
He appears as the prince of demons
and is said to be one of the most powerful
deities in heaven.
He is associated with the soul of a star
called Lucifer.
Beelzebub claims that he is the cause
of the demon of laziness.
He is said to be the cause
