Hi, this is Shilpa and welcome to my YouTube channel.
I am in Bangkok, Thailand, and this is a very special trip.
I came with my sister, but unlike me, she hates social media.
So we arrived quite early, but because it was an overnight flight, so we only went out
for brunch.
Now it's around five.
So we are getting ready.
We're going to Skywalk.
Okay.
Flop show.
The traffic was so bad.
We just checked.
The place will be closed at 6.30.
So we canceled our ride and now we're walking.
Okay.
So we arrived at Terminal 21 where we will do some shopping and I'll try Thai food.
If you want to avoid the heat outside, this place is a very good option where you can
try authentic Thai food in a very reasonable price and also do shopping from local and
international brands.
The coconut ice cream was so yummy.
And now I'm having some seafood soup.
I forgot the name.
I have no idea what exactly I'm eating, but it's yum.
More food.
Okay.
So we ate a lot and also did a lot of shopping.
Now it's time to return.
Okay.
I'm back to my hotel.
We are staying at S-Box.
The traffic was so bad that we individually booked two bikes.
And it's so full.
So far, I would say Thailand is very tourist friendly and it's very easy to do everything.
It's like cash dependent and card also works.
We just got a SIM card from airport and book anything through Grab app.
So my sister just left and I'm waiting for my Grab bike.
So far, what I've seen is here, taking a bike is much more easier than taking a cab.
And for tuk-tuk, I don't think I have the necessary bargaining skills.
Okay.
So if you can see, I reached Mahanapkarn skywalk.
I don't know if I'm saying it right.
I reached before my sister.
So I'm waiting for her.
She's here.
And we'll have to take a ticket from there, I guess.
They're asking for our passports, so we are not underage.
Wow.
We got our pass.
We paid around 2,160 Baht for this, for two people.
I think this is the king.
We're going this way.
Okay, so we're returning back because I'm hungry.
Okay, so we're back to our room and today my sister is a little sick.
So for dinner we went for a safe Indian vegetarian option.
We went to this Himalaya Chacha restaurant. The food was really good and simple.
And now before sleeping I'm going to do some editing and sadhana.
And tomorrow we have good plans.
So I wanted to go to the Husky Cafe but my sister loves Corgi.
And we found this really nice place called Dog in Town.
They have all kinds of dogs and also the entry fee is pretty reasonable.
We paid around 350 Baht per person.
And the menu is light. There are not many options but the food was really good here.
And we had a great time playing with all the dogs.
If you also love dogs like me, you should definitely come to one of the dog cafes in Bangkok.
And now we're going to Wat Arun Temple.
So we arrived and this is the shop from where you can rent traditional Thai costumes.
I'm not sure if I want to wear the dress or not. It looks really good.
We're going to get our ticket first.
And this is the dress code.
Sorry, I'm not able to pronounce the full name.
But Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple which derives its name from the Hindu god of sun, Arun Dev.
And that's also the reason the place is known as the Temple of Dawn.
Okay, so I'm a little confused.
This place is more of like a photo shoot zone.
Where is the DLT? How do I do darshan?
Probably it's not like an active temple where puja happens every day.
Because I couldn't find the entrance or I'm lost. I'm not sure.
Okay, I'm happy. At least we got to sit in a quiet place in front of the deity.
Now we're going to take our ferry.
The ferry was so good but I'm feeling a little dizzy.
Now we'll have to book another cab to return to our hotel.
By the way, we're staying in Sukhumvit.
When I first planned my Bangkok trip, I thought I'll be having Thai massage and eat all kinds of weird stuff like insects and all.
But I actually didn't do anything.
But I had a great time. Today is our last day and we're about to catch our flight.
And travelling with your sister is so fun. You can exchange clothes.
I actually miss those stuff.
