(Bundesliga 2023/2024): Highlights Borussia Dortmund - VfL Wolfsburg

With five in four games, Jonas Windt is off to the best ever start by a post-work striker in the Bundesliga. Dortmund have netted six against Die Wölfe in each of their last two visits to the Signal Iduna Park. Marco Reus with this early free kick and dealt with by Kul Kasteers. Flinging himself at the ball, Reus one of six new players added to the equation after the Champions League defeat in Paris. The defences have been mostly on top in this first half. There's the flick by Jonas Windt. And away goes Thiago Tomáš. He's done well to return the favour to Windt. And again it's Thiago Tomáš and Kober to the rescue for Dortmund. Tremendous moment of fluency that was from Wolfsburg. Fine understanding between Windt and Thiago Tomáš and Kober wearing the captain's armband today, doing his job. Niko Kovac probably happy enough about the flow of events. It's 0-0 at half-time here in Dortmund. And it's Wolf and Sandro Wagner assessing national team candidates. Daniel Marlen who's just come on. Here's Julian Brandt. And it's finished off by Marco Reus for Borussia Dortmund. His second goal in as many weeks. And he's just become the third all-time top scorer for Dortmund in the Bundesliga. 116 goals. Dortmund have been far more dynamic in this half. Here's Arnold for Wolfsburg and a gap in the defence. And it's Jonas Windt. And he nearly punished Dortmund. And Mats Hummels having words with Julian Rierson didn't seem to be much on. But just wide by Windt. Truth of the matter is Wolfsburg haven't done enough in this second half. It is a well-merited win for Dortmund. Edin Terzic overcoming Niko Kovac. And Marco Reus the match winner.
