BGE: NEW ACCESSORY Turbo Stream Unboxing
1 Video View·Dec 7, 2018
I recently saw a post on Instagram about a komodo accessory named Turbo Stream. I looked it up and wow was I impressed by the concept and build quality. The system looks very well made and seems to solve some of the issues I wanted to address with my Big Green Egg. While this was simply a unboxing video, I plan to make a few videos showing how it works and giving my honest opinion. Stay tuned for more!

Hey guys, I've never done an unboxing video before, but I got something in that is exciting.
It is a new accessory for Big Green Egg.
It's been around for a couple of years, but I've never seen it until about a month ago.
So I got one and I want to show you what it is.
So I'm opening this up so I can show you what it is.
It is called the Turbo Stream.
This one is a firebox divider.
So it has a ring that goes between the collar and the firebox, and then it has a divider
that goes in there so you can do half of the charcoal.
The next one is called the Turbo Stream Airflow Diffuser.
This one is a solid, almost solid barrier on the bottom.
So instead of using the plate setter or the convector, you would use this.
And it regulates airflow better.
It comes with two different halves so that you can easily access it while cooking with
the ash tool.
And then here's the last one, and honestly what I'm most excited about.
And it is an elevated charcoal basket.
The elevated charcoal basket allows you to get the charcoal higher in the egg and use
a smaller amount.
And also I'm going to do some direct grilling, caveman style, on top of it.
I'm going to pull this out so you can see what it is.
It's all made of heavy gauge steel.
You can see the nice welds in here.
It's got the Turbo Stream logo on it.
It's super, super well made.
I'm going to be doing a couple more videos showing how to use all the parts, but here's
the ring that goes with it.
That is the key piece to making all of this work.
And I will show you all these once I get them unboxed, but I wanted to make a quick video
today just to show you what I got in.
I'm super excited about it and I can't wait to show you in my big green egg.
