Hello and welcome to a new video of mine, finally a reading vlog again.
I've done this before and it's always a lot of fun to read with you,
to talk about what kind of books you read, how you find them, how you progress,
what you don't like so much, what you like and just to have a really nice reading time.
I personally love reading vlogs because they just give me a really comfortable feeling
and make me really want to read.
And that's why I hope that will be the case with you after watching this video.
I've bought a lot of books lately and that's why my sub has escalated a bit.
So I think I now have around 16 books on my sub,
which might not be a lot for some people, but I think it's a lot for myself
because I think it's a shame when there are so many books at home that I haven't read yet
and I still buy new ones all the time.
That's why this reading vlog is also about building up my sub.
I finished my last book yesterday and that's why I'm now looking for a successor
and have chosen these five books that I would like to read, but I'm not so sure.
To be honest, I find it really hard.
I think because it's on top of my shelf right now, I'll just read this one.
The book doesn't have that many pages, just under 400.
And that's definitely less compared to my other books that I've read at the moment.
Since I can't read anything from the cover text myself, I'll read it quickly for all of you
who might not know it.
It all starts with a friendship, but how will their story end?
On a rainy, wet road, Finn's and Autumn's fate shall decide forever
the moment the car leaves the road.
But actually, their story begins much earlier.
Even their mothers are best friends, and so they grow up door to door,
spend every free minute together, know each other better than themselves.
Until something else comes out of their friendship.
Only Autumn can't accept these deep feelings.
She tries to forget Finn.
But how can she do that when her heart beats so treacherously
as soon as her eyes meet?
If no one can ever take Finn's place in their heart.
And you know, I always make an experience out of my reading hours
and my reading corner doesn't look like an experience at all right now.
That's why I have to buy myself some fresh flowers before we start.
Short interlude.
I've been on page 59 of If You Had Been With Me
and somehow the story is being told from behind.
I've heard that before, but I don't quite understand what it means.
The first chapter was kind of the one before
and then the story starts.
To be honest, I'm still at a stage where I'm confused.
But I still have to say that it's fun to read.
The writing style is different, but I think it's pretty good.
And I'm looking forward to reading more,
especially because I'm thinking,
how does the story continue?
How did it start?
So it's exciting.
I'm definitely going to read it now.
I still have a little time.
And I'm curious to see how it continues.
Yesterday I tidied up my nightstand a bit.
I always only had a plant here.
But I don't know if it's the same for you.
At some point I always need a change.
I have to redecorate something a little bit
so that I like it again,
because at some point I was just fed up.
And that's why I made a little sweet book paradise out of it.
I put a basket here.
I got it from my mom for my birthday
and put a blanket in it.
That's just decoration.
And then I set up a few books here.
Because my bookshelf, to be honest,
is now so full that I have to look
where I put the books.
Some of them are already in the second row.
And that's why I thought,
first of all, it looks super cute.
And secondly, it's a good way
to keep books.
I just noticed that I unfortunately deleted
part of the video.
Namely the part where I gave you an update
on my current read.
No, little bunny.
You can't do that now.
Mom has to do something first, okay?
And then we're going to go pee, okay?
But not yet.
First I have to tell you how I found the book.
Or find it.
I'm not done yet.
I just read 240 pages on the first day
I started the book.
So over half of what I've never managed to do before.
I think it wasn't really because of the book.
I was just so excited to read
because I think reading just relaxes you so much.
And on that day I really took the time
and it was so beautiful.
Somehow it's so hard for me to say
how I find the book so far.
Because I think those who have read it
can somehow understand it.
I just ask myself all the time
what sense it makes
what is being told to me.
So so far everything seems to me
incredibly random and unnecessary.
I have the feeling that it's just
a series of stories.
I know that sounds mean
but somehow it feels like that to me.
I still like the style of writing.
I like the style of writing.
It's beautifully written.
But as I said
somehow it all seems to me
a bit random.
And also our main character Autumn.
In the beginning I liked her.
Meanwhile I have a problem with her.
I don't know why.
I know why but I don't want to spoil anything.
That's why I just have a problem with her.
In general you have to say
that there are an incredible number of time jumps
in this book.
So I think so far
three years have been described.
So the book is already
over three years old.
And that is somehow...
I don't know.
I just don't know.
What should I say?
Many people say that the end
is very emotional.
I am incredibly excited about the end.
I definitely want to finish it today.
I really don't have much left.
So I will make myself comfortable tonight.
I would light the candle here
and then read.
And I am very curious
what my final conclusion will be.
I am currently on page 368
and I think it will be emotional now.
I have already read a few sentences.
And I am really excited.
I hope I don't cry.
I don't know how the book will end
but I just hope I don't cry.
It's been a few days
since I finished If You Had Been With Me.
And I just noticed
that I didn't give you any feedback
at least here for this book.
I don't know at all
what I should think of the book.
I don't know if it was a waste of time
to read it all the time.
I thought the writing style itself
was pretty good.
You got through the pages
ultra fast.
I definitely liked that
about the book.
But this story
was so unnecessary.
It didn't touch me at all.
The book took four years
in such a book.
There were so many time jumps
and everything happened so fast.
I had the feeling
that everything was very superficial.
And that's why I couldn't connect
with the characters.
And especially Autumn,
our main character,
I just didn't like her.
I hoped for the end
because a lot of people said
that it should be very emotional.
But it didn't touch me at all.
It was within 20 pages.
It was suddenly a huge thing
that could have been
much more beautiful
and much longer.
But it was cut off
so quickly.
The sentences didn't go down
at all.
Everything happened so fast.
I can't really describe it.
When I finished it,
I gave the book 3 stars.
But now that I've thought
about it a bit more,
I have to say that I would
give the book only 2.5 stars.
It's the most rated book
I've ever read.
I'm really sorry.
If you like the book,
it's just my opinion.
But I really didn't like it at all.
And that's why... I don't know.
I don't think I would recommend
reading it again.
By the way, I've already started
a new book.
I've had it at home
for an incredibly long time.
I think it was one of the first
books I bought.
I never read it.
But I always thought,
am I ready for it?
And I wasn't.
I asked you on Instagram
if I should read
Good Girl, Bleib Blatt
or Wie die Ruhe vor dem Sturm.
And you all decided for this book.
And that's why it's here.
I was at the hairdresser yesterday
and had the book with me.
I usually don't dare to read
but I read a lot in it.
I'm on page 100 now.
And in the book,
for all of you who don't know it,
it's about...
how many characters?
In the book it's about Elianor.
She starts a new job as a nanny
where she takes care
of the children of a rich family.
But she didn't know
that it's Grayson's children
she would take care of.
And she didn't know
that Grayson had become a man.
An ice-cold, lonely
and unapproachable man.
Grayson's laughter is gone
and everything about him is in pain.
But she recognizes
that the boy she loved so much
is still in there
and she knows
that it's worth it to fight for him.
As I said in the beginning,
it was a bit fast
but I think the book is so beautiful
and emotional.
And that's why I will definitely cry
about this book.
I've been holding back
because I thought
it wouldn't be the best idea
to cry while doing my hair.
But now I'm going to the city
to buy a new book
because I've been wanting to have it
for a long time.
I've been struggling with it
because it's a bit more expensive.
But I really want to read this book
and I can't wait anymore.
I wanted to take at least one more book
with me than I planned.
The reason why I started
to read this book
is because of this piece.
I started to read it
as an audiobook
but after reading
30 pages
I thought
I have to read it.
It would be such an amazing experience
to read this book.
And since then
I wanted to buy this book.
I wanted to buy it with the color
but I couldn't get it.
But at least the hardcover version
because we can talk about
how horrible
the pocket book version
of this book looks.
A thick book
as a pocket book format.
Even like this
the book looks so amazing.
I don't know
when I saw
such a beautiful book.
I'm so excited.
It's so beautifully designed.
It has so many pages.
I think it has
762 pages.
It's going to be
my thickest book ever.
But I'm really looking forward to it.
And then I took Magnolia Parks
with me.
Let's talk about how horrible
the German cover looks
I think it's really cute.
I'm really looking forward to this book.
And I'm really looking forward
to 4th Wing.
I can't wait.
But these are the books I just bought.
Okay, I thought
autumn is coming
and it's going to be super cold.
But it's so warm.
But I like it
because I love reading outside.
Especially when the weather is nice.
I think I'm going to
grab a book
and sit outside and read.
Maybe I'm going to ride my bike.
I bought a bike.
I bought it from a friend.
And I can ride my bike
everywhere.
And I wanted to do a little trip.
So I think I'm going to grab
a book, drink something
and change my clothes
because I'm still wearing my pajamas.
And then I'm going to sit outside
and read.
I'm going to look for a nice bench.
Maybe I'm going to lie down in the grass.
We'll see.
But today I'm going to read outside.
A few days ago
I bought a subcar at Ikea.
I already tidied up and decorated it.
The corner looks so cute now.
And it's still being completed today.
This is my subcar.
I took the smaller one
and only put two floors in it.
So I can put the books down there.
The bigger one would have been higher
than the dresser.
And it would have been very big.
I didn't think it was necessary.
And to complete the corner
I bought this.
It's from Desenio.
It's a wooden frame
that you fix magnetically.
And then the picture.
I wanted to hang it on the corner.
I put the plant away.
It doesn't get much light lately.
So I put it on a light source for a few days.
So it doesn't die.
Can you hold the picture here?
And there?
So I know where I want to hang it.
The corner in the whole picture.
Can you lower it a little bit?
A little bit lower.
I like the corner so much.
It's so comfortable now.
If you remember
how it looked in the beginning
when the chair wasn't there yet.
It was so uncomfortable.
And now it's such a nice place.
I love it.
I can't wait to read more.
Speaking of reading.
I wanted to give you an update
on how I'm doing.
I'm on page 343 now.
I have about 100 pages left
in the book.
I'm done.
I couldn't read that much.
But I did a reading live on Instagram.
My first reading live.
It was so cool to read with you.
We just sat there.
I sat here in the corner.
I turned on my campfire.
And we read together.
And I got so much further.
Now I'm on page 340.
It's a real comfort read.
It's so beautifully written.
You fly through the pages.
The book gives me such great vibes.
Our main characters.
Eleanor.
The development of the book.
It's so emotional.
I loved the beginning.
It's so emotional.
I want to finish it tonight.
I think I can do that.
Then I can start
my next book tomorrow.
But I'm sure
this book will get a good rating.
Last night
I finished
Wie die Ruhe vor dem Sturm
by Brittany C. Sherry.
It was so emotional.
The last 100 pages.
I was in tears and laughing.
It just
got me.
It was so well written.
So emotional.
The perfect book.
I have to say
some parts were too fast for me.
I didn't feel
like it was
unrealistic.
But all in all
I loved the book.
I had to give it 5 out of 5 stars
because it entertained me so well.
I always wanted to read more
even if I didn't have that much time this week.
It was just a great book
and a great story.
Please let me know if you read it.
Let's continue
with the next book.
Of course I can't decide
what to read next.
Magnolia Parks or
Good Girl, Bad Blood.
I like both.
But I don't know
what I want to read.
So I asked on Instagram
which book I should read next.
Most of you said
Good Girl, Bad Blood.
So let's start
with this book.
I wanted to start
with the book
so I could read it.
I read it 100 times
because it's so fast.
I really like it.
I just noticed
that I didn't tell you
what the book is about.
Maybe most of you already know
but this is the second part.
It's about
the relationship between
a man and a woman.
It's about
Pippa telling
the events
from the first book
in a podcast.
But then the brother
of one of her best friends
disappears without a trace.
Because the police doesn't do anything
she has to find out
and she has to be quick
before something worse happens.
I don't know more.
I'm very excited.
Especially because
on some pages there are
illustrations.
It gives me a different vibe
in the book.
I get along better
with the writing style.
It was a bit difficult
for me in the first part.
I love books that
you just fly through.
I feel like this book
could be one of them.
I'll continue reading
but I finished it
on the same day.
I loved it so much.
From the middle
you want to know the solution.
I loved it so much.
I even liked
this book more than the first part.
I gave it 4.5 stars.
I can only give it 5 stars.
I loved it so much.
I can't say much more
because I don't want to spoil
anything for you.
I recommend it.
I asked myself
if I could read the first part.
I think it's important
to read the first part.
But if you're still
thinking about it
I can recommend it.
We're at the end
of this reading vlog.
We read three wonderful books
in this book.
I loved them.
I can recommend them.
It's a waste of time.
I don't think
you have to read them.
But I'm still happy
with the results.
I hope you enjoyed
this reading vlog.
If you already read one
write me your opinion in the comments.
Thank you for watching
and I hope
to see you next time.
Bye!
