Hi, I'm Renee, and I clean and organize my follower's homes for free.
In this episode I will declutter the bedrooms and bathrooms as I prepare the house to be sold so the widow can move to assisted living.
Let me share something that I hope will inspire you to do something truly special. It's about being kind to others without expecting anything in return. Imagine the joy and warmth you can bring to someone's day by simply lending a helping hand or even just offering a smile or a kind word.
These little acts of kindness can truly make a difference in someone's life.
So, I challenge you to take a moment and think about how you can spread kindness today. Whether it's a small or grand gesture, remember that it doesn't cost a thing to be nice to people. If you enjoyed this message, please show your support by liking, commenting, and subscribing to my content. Together, let's make the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time.

So we are still looking for a teddy bear and a family Bible.
A huge thank you for helping me reach 10,000 subscribers.
I never thought I'd see that day.
Your enthusiastic support and sticking with my videos from start to finish fuels my passion
for helping homeowners declutter and organize.
Again, thank you so much.
So in this video, it's a combination of day four, five, and six.
And I'm starting with the downstairs bathroom that was his bathroom.
So here's a quick recap of the backstory.
This is a touching story of my experience aiding a dear friend of a past homeowner I
assisted.
She was navigating a tough time following her husband's passing, tasked with decluttering
and cleaning the home that they lived in for over 40 years.
He had died just two weeks previously.
About seven years ago, her husband lost one leg.
His living area was on the first floor due to a broken prosthesis.
He was awaiting a custom replacement.
A male nurse assisted him as she suffered from severe arthritis and daily pain, making
mobility an absolute difficulty.
For more than 20 years, she directed preschool ministries, beloved by both staff and children.
Prior to that, she taught kids, aided individuals with special needs, and conducted training.
After putting others first, it was finally her turn.
Her son, who lived in a different state, deeply appreciated my no-cost assistance.
I will do before and after videos after each section.
So now I'm moving to the upstairs bathroom that he used when he could climb stairs.
What I'm spraying on the inside of the cabinets is some Pine Sol and just wiping up the dirt
and dust.
While I'm completely gutting the house, I'm leaving some items for the homeowner to use
until she sells her property.
A lot of these products are expired, and the ones that are not expired are going to go
to her church nursing home.
These needle sharps will be disposed of properly at the county health department.
Moving on across the hall to the laundry room.
Sorry about the angle, but I had to stand on the washer to get up to this cabinet.
And then across from the laundry room was the linen closet.
While I'm sorting through the items, I'm making my way to her bedroom to discuss which items
she would like to keep or to donate.
She wanted to hold on to specific quilts and afghans that were crafted by special individuals
in her life.
Check out this old Sears Kenmore canister vacuum.
She also wanted to retain some towels and sheets for when her son visited to assist
in selling the house.
On to the bedroom closet.
All of these boxes were shred, and I took them to the shredder.
This box was way too heavy for me to lift.
And the rest of the items went to donation.
On to the coat closet.
She is sitting off to the right, making decisions about her husband's clothes.
Now let's tackle the master closet with both his and her clothes.
Her objective was to select only the clothes she required in the assisted living facility.
This involved parting with all the work clothes and the memories associated with them.
She did a great job of decluttering.
The top rack of clothes was all of his clothes.
The entire bottom rack consisted of her clothes, and I'm placing the clothes she wishes to
keep on the right hand side.
This rack was also her clothes.
I started through all her shoes to make sure she had pairs, and then she let me know which
ones she wanted to keep.
The stuff on this top shelf was old electronics and CB radios.
Yes, that is dust particles you see flying in the air.
She wanted to keep a set of suitcases to take her clothes to the assisted living home.
I did move the clothes to the upper rack so I was able to vacuum.
After I was done vacuuming, I moved them down to the lower rack so she was able to reach
them.
Next, I moved on to the master bedroom bathroom.
I returned the items that she could easily access that she used all the time.
I then proceeded to declutter her dresser.
When you're cleaning out your dresser, remember to pull out the drawers and check what might
have fallen behind them.
Next is a sitting room which is inside of the master bedroom.
On the morning I began working in her master bedroom, it was her first birthday without
her husband.
I surprised her with birthday balloons and her favorite breakfast to make her day a little
brighter.
Feel free to share in the comments what you've done to surprise someone on their birthday.
She wanted to take this fake plant to the assisted living home.
The real house plants will be donated to her friend.
More books, maybe we can find the family bible here.
No bible.
This is the master bedroom nightstand.
We found it, the family bible.
Inside it had a lot of good genealogy information.
Now the only thing left to find is the teddy bear.
I also found a gift card to the local mall for $80.
She had her friend check to see if it's still valid and it certainly was.
It was originally issued in 2000.
This is his nightstand.
This is her hope chest.
This was very emotional for her to go through.
I did not film this because there was a lot of personal information in here.
But what we did find was some tinsel.
I don't think they make this anymore.
And guess what else we found, the beloved teddy bear.
Moving to the bookshelf which is just outside the formal living room.
I then moved into the living room with the built in bookshelves.
Yes, more books.
She is just in front of me letting me know what she wants to keep.
Guess what else we found, more bibles.
She was pretty excited.
Those are all going to be donated to the church.
I'm reading off the book titles to see which ones she wants to keep.
We found 5 more bibles and another family bible.
Moving on to the formal sitting room.
I forgot to take an after video of this room.
Sorry about that.
These are all the items she's going to take to the assisted living facility.
While I was cleaning out the master closet, I placed all the bagged clothes in the hallway
to be moved downstairs and into the van for donation.
All total there was 13 loads that went to donation.
So for these 3 days I walked 17 miles, burned off 1,359 calories, climbed 81 flights of
steps and did 27,417 steps in total.
I'm so glad I could help this family.

I still have one more day at this home.
There was 4 trailers of trash that her friend took every time it was full.
These are all the Christmas items that I set aside for her friend to pick up.
And this is all the electronics that she wants to sell.
More organizing and decluttering to come.
