Hello everyone and welcome to my new video.
I'm lying around here in the meadow today. I hope that doesn't bother you.
It's because my tripod is way too small to make a higher position.
I have to think about something so that I can at least sit or stand.
I owe you the video about Lola. I promised you that in the last Devonner video.
That I will now introduce the little stud to you. Who is Lola?
This is the new girlfriend of Beauty, who is now standing here on the meadow.
The whole thing was a bit funny. I'll repeat that again, even if I already cut it in the last video.
The day I brought Devonner to Beauty so that she can pull out of the open stable back to the meadow,
my friend Hannah called me. Hannah, you may know, is the breeder of the grenade splinter.
She said to me, look, you're looking for a friend for Beauty so you can put her out again.
Then I said, yes, I'll pick one up today. So I'm actually already taken care of.
Then she said, yes, it doesn't matter, acquaintances of hers would have asked if they could put a carrying stud to her in the stable.
So Hannah has her own little open stable where her studs and her foals and her Wallachia are.
Then they asked Hannah if she had a place and Hannah didn't really have a place.
Then she thought of me and said, here, I have a girlfriend and she is also looking for a carrying stud, just call her.
Then the two of them called me and said, yes, watch out, we bought a pony here last year from the dealer for a school business.
She is also very nice and all the children like her, but she is carrying.
They didn't know, it was a bit of a surprise.
The stud was kept in the herd with the other foals.
It got thinner and looked worse and worse and they were surprised.
Then they called the vet and asked what was wrong with the stud.
Somehow she doesn't like us.
Then he took blood and said, yes, congratulations, this stud is carrying and that's why it looks so bad.
Because of course they didn't take any additional food or anything, because they didn't even know it was carrying.
Normally, carrying studs need a little support, so more food, just like pregnant women.
They don't need food, but a little more to eat.
I always feed my studs breeding muesli when they are carrying and of course Lola didn't get that either.
And then the vet said, I don't know when the foal will come.
It can come quickly at some point, it can take a month or two, but maybe they should think about it.
And then the people thought, okay, in the school business or in the riding school it may not be so optimal to get a stud with a foal.
And then they take care of where they can bring the stud, where they can get the foal, where they can stay for six months and then they come back.
The owner of the riding school said, yes, you could give the stud back to the dealer and then exchange it for a stud that is not carrying.
But of course all the children protested and said no, we would like to keep Lola and she is so nice.
And then the owner of the riding school also agreed, which I think is very, very cool.
And that's how Lola got here.
She moved in here when Devon was still there.
I then thought to myself, in case of doubt, they can stay here as a threesome.
Three studs with three foals is no problem either, I have enough space.
And then she came here and it was just at the same time that Beauty and Devon didn't get along at all.
And they just kicked each other and stressed each other out.
And then I separated Devon and put Beauty together with Lola after one night of getting used to Lola.
And the two of them got along great at first, which made me very happy.
And yes, that's why I decided to bring Devon back after two weeks, I think three weeks in total, and to keep Lola here.
Because that just doesn't make sense.
So they could have stayed here as a threesome, but unfortunately that didn't work out with Devon.
But I already told you that in the last video.
So now briefly about Lola.
Lola was unfortunately very, very thin when she arrived here.
She's not quite normal yet either, I think.
The foal has taken a lot of her reserves.
And right now, where she is ...
So the foal is now there, by the way.
I'll show you that in the next video.
Yes, that takes a lot of strength, of course.
And now that she still has milk production, it's not that easy to get her back on the steamer.
And that's why all the pictures you see now of the arrival or the first days ...
Yes, Lola is unfortunately very, very thin.
Unfortunately very, very thin.
She was also covered because she was shorn in the school business.
Because she worked a lot there.
Or had to work a lot with the school children.
And that's why they shorn her and covered her.
That's why she's wearing a blanket.
And yes, Lola is eight years old.
She is an Irish mare.
I think she has an Irish passport.
Without papers.
So there's nothing in it about mother, father, anything else.
So I can't tell you what kind of breed it is, just that it's an Irish passport.
And yes, it will be some kind of mix.
It's a shame that you can't track it down.
But it's not that bad either.
It doesn't have to have every horse on paper.
You don't know which hengster was on it either.
It will probably be some kind of hengster who was with the dealer.
And that's why you don't know who the father of the fowl is.
And yes, so much for Lola.
I think she's about 1.22m tall.
Maybe she's even 1.25m.
But she's about the size of Beauty.
Maybe she's a little smaller.
It's relatively low in rank.
That means Beauty has the say here.
But the two of them get along great anyway.
So when Beauty puts on her ears, Lola goes away.
But they don't get tangled, they don't kick each other.
So it works very, very well.
Yes, and after three weeks when she was with me,
on March 25th, on the second Saturday of the equitana,
she threw out the fowl early in the morning.
Yes, the fowl is healthy.
It's a stud fowl.
Everything went great.
The fowl is called Sunny, with abbreviation.
And I'll show you that in the next video.
I've already finished shooting all the clips.
Of course, I did that in the first few days of the fowl,
when it was there.
And I'd like to cut them up for the next video.
I'll also set that up relatively timely.
So one of the next videos will be from Lola's fowl Sunny.
And I hope you're looking forward to it.
And yes, I look forward to seeing you again next time.
Bye!
