This is Manh Hai Design Channel and everything about interior design you will see here.
Welcome back to Manh Hai Design Channel and to continue with the series on interior materials.
Previously, I have shared very deeply, very carefully about the types of industrial wood,
along with the advantages, disadvantages and applications of it in the interior environment.
And today I will introduce a new material that can overcome the disadvantages of industrial wood, which is plastic wood.
There are 3 types of materials today, let's take a closer look.
The first is Picomart, the second is Composite Plastic Wood, and the third is Plastic Wood.
We will come to the surfaces and applications of these plastic wood materials.
The first is Picomart, because its flat surface is exactly like a piece of wood.
Therefore, its application will be like industrial wood.
That is, you can completely cover the surface with a layer of laminate, acrylic, or a layer of melamine, etc.
Its application is exactly like industrial wood.
However, due to its moisture retention, it can be used very well in the environment.
For example, I put a kitchen cabinet, a lavabo cabinet, a toilet seat, or even outdoor locations can use this type of wood.
And the second is Composite Plastic Wood.
There are usually 2 types of Composite Plastic Wood like this.
It will be used for the purpose of covering the ceiling, walls, or walls.
Another type is Composite Plastic Wood like this.
It will be used for outdoor applications, such as outdoor tables, chairs, balconies, swimming pools, etc.
That is the application of Composite Plastic Wood.
And for Composite Plastic Wood, it only has 1 application.
The only one is used to cover the ceiling, ceiling or floor.
Especially, this type of Composite Plastic Wood will have holes, so it is used to cover the floor very well.
That is a brief introduction to the applications of these 3 types of wood, Composite Plastic Wood and Composite Plastic Wood.
We can summarize some of its advantages as follows.
The first advantage is that it is very light.
Because of its light weight, it is very easy to transport and manufacture.
At the same time, due to its low content of wood powder, when we drill and cut, it will create less dust.
And from there, it is also safe for human health when manufacturing.
The second advantage is that its water resistance is extremely good.
Therefore, it does not get stuck in wet environments.
And so, it is also great for outdoor use.
It is very good.
The advantage of Composite Plastic Wood is here.
An absolute advantage.
The third advantage is that it is able to resist fire.
Resist fire means that when there is a fire, it will not burn up.
Just like Composite Plastic Wood or Composite Plastic Wood, it only has rust.
Therefore, it will make the fire not spread to other areas.
Another advantage, the fourth one, is that its ability to reduce curvature and anti-dust is extremely good.
Of course, Composite Plastic Wood only likes to eat wood, not plastic.
So we can safely use it for a long time without being afraid of Composite Plastic Wood.
Another advantage that many people care about, especially when the family has children, is its non-poisonous nature.
It is extremely safe.
Please remember the concept of Phocmandehyde that I mentioned in that episode about industrial wood.
Phocmandehyde appears in the component of adhesive glue in the structure of an industrial wood.
And this content will have to be limited to make it safe for the human body.
Meanwhile, Composite Plastic Wood does not have this substance at all.
It only has adhesives that are made of organic and cellulose.
So it is absolutely safe.
Another reason that I can assure you about its safety is because it usually,
these Composite Plastic Wood have to pass a standard, which is the Roast standard.
This is a European standard aimed at limiting harmful substances such as hydrogen, nitrogen or chromium,
all the compounds that appear in the structure of this Composite Plastic Wood.
That is why it is very safe for human health.
Another advantage is that these Composite Plastic Wood have extremely high ventilation.
Usually, you can use it up to 30 times without worrying about the damage to the surface of the wood.
If you do not move it and do not disassemble it many times.
Because when disassembled, it will lead to a state of exhaustion and weakness over time.
Another advantage is that it is extremely environmentally friendly.
Because it is made of plastic, it can be recycled many times.
The last advantage, number 8, is that it is a very easy-to-shape material.
Flat surface, so it is easy to cut, drink and can be flexible for many different positions.
For example, we can cut CNC and create a very easy-to-decorate wall.
Or we can be flexible according to the curved surfaces of the wall.
It is very convenient and easy to use.
Those are 8 very big advantages of Composite Plastic Wood.
However, there are still some very big disadvantages.
The disadvantages I will point out to you later.
First, this Composite Plastic Wood will be very weak.
Because the plastic itself inside its structure is very soft.
And its surface is quite crispy.
So that's why it can't withstand strong impacts.
And it will have to be extremely durable so that it can withstand the time.
The second disadvantage is that it is very easy to deteriorate when exposed to heat.
That's why when you use it,
please note that you should not leave this Composite Plastic Wood near heaters,
such as grills or heaters.
Because it will have the ability to make these pieces of Composite Plastic Wood shrink
and make it deteriorate compared to the original purpose of use.
A third disadvantage in the process of making Composite Plastic Wood
is that its screwing ability is very poor compared to Industrial Wood or Natural Wood.
That's why you should pay attention to which product you use,
which object should be fixed in that position.
It should not be disassembled or moved too many times.
It will reduce the life of Composite Plastic Wood.
And the last disadvantage that everyone can see and feel right away
is that its feel will not be realistic,
it will not be solid,
it will not have a warm feeling when we touch the natural wood.
And its surface can be seen through the eyes,
it will not be smooth, it will not be natural like real wood.
Those are the four major disadvantages that Composite Plastic Wood is facing.
As for the recognition, we can easily recognize it because of its weight.
Usually, its weight is very light compared to Natural Wood or Industrial Wood
because its nature includes plastic,
and there are some pieces that are hollow, so its weight is very light.
And its surface is easy to recognize, it is the surface of the human body,
because it can absorb melamine and laminate,
so it is easy to distinguish the natural surface of Natural Wood or Composite Plastic Wood.
It is easy to recognize Composite Plastic Wood.
Ok, to be more specific,
there will be a table that will appear on the screen later to compare for you
Composite Plastic Wood, Industrial Wood and Natural Wood.
We will compare these three types of wood in terms of
softness, water resistance,
transparency,
grip,
and safety.
Ok, I have just shared with you about the recognition,
as well as the composition and application of Composite Plastic Wood in the project, right?
