Re-live that phenomenal night in Baku in May of 2019 as Chelsea took on London rivals Arsenal in the Europa League Final. What a night, with 4 goals and a final appearance for Eden Hazard at Chelsea.
A London derby two and a half thousand miles from home.
It's Chelsea versus Arsenal, but not as we know it.
The 2019 Europa League final is an extraordinary occasion,
whichever way you analyze it.
The Olympic Stadium in Baku, the venue for this showpiece game.
Plenty of talk about the positives and mainly negatives
of the choice of location pre-match, but for now,
the only thing that matters is victory.
This is the line-up Maurizio Sarri's chosen.
And the big news is that N'Golo Kante is fit enough to start
after suffering a knee injury in training.
The Blues without Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tony Rudiger,
all of whom have been prominent in the run to the final.
Ten-goal Olivier Giroud starts against his old club,
David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta,
the survivors from the 2013 final.
Edin Hazard missed that game through injury.
One manager looking to win his first trophy.
The other, who knows just what it takes to have success in this competition
and just how important it is that he has it again.
Petr Cech started six years ago for Chelsea in the final of this competition.
Tonight, he plays the final game of his career against the team
with whom he had so much success.
Mesut Ozil is in for the injured Aaron Ramsey.
Lacazette and Aubameyang both start.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan hasn't travelled for political reasons.
Here's Maitland-Niles.
Aubameyang dragged David Luiz out wide with him.
Now Maitland-Niles can get his cross in.
Oh, Kepa couldn't hold on to it.
And then Aubameyang stuck it wide.
He had a bit more time than that, could have taken a touch.
When he's in, he felt he could hit it first time.
David Luiz has already been beaten in that area.
Kepa makes a bit of a hash of it as well at the near post.
Should be doing better.
Azpilicueta.
Header on from Aubameyang.
Kepa.
This could be a problem.
Lacazette obviously convinced.
Referees certainly saying it's a goal kick,
which suggests Lacazette went down cheaply.
Well, he's kicked Kepa in the head, hasn't he, as he's gone through.
Xhaka can hit them from there.
And he hits as well.
This is a decent strike for Xhaka.
Just off the pace a little bit,
only committed to a little bit slowing, closing him down.
It's decent enough drive.
Ball is rising, the question was it going over or under the crossbar?
Luiz hooked it out the sky.
Here's Emerson.
Oh, and he's in here, Emerson.
And Cech beats away the shot.
It was a lovely ball into his path to find him.
Hazard keeping Chelsea on the front foot.
On he goes, they're scared to touch him.
It's really good play from Ainsley Maitland-Niles to take the ball off him.
Emerson straight at Penichet, makes a good strong save.
Giroud, real chance for Olivier Giroud.
Cech got his hand to it, and Monreal was there first.
First big moment for the competition's main man.
Doesn't quite get the contact he's looking for, Giroud,
but it's a super save by Penichet.
Hits the ball into the ground almost, rather than getting a clean strike.
Hazard, beautiful balance and grace as ever.
And on he goes, and this is danger for Arsenal.
Here's Giroud, he's onside.
Olivier Giroud, shot deflected.
Was there a foul on Hazard before that?
He's been taken out, Hazard.
Referee's suggesting perhaps it's a come-in-together.
And there's the ball to Giroud.
I know we see him get taken out.
Micheline with his hand up, I'm not sure what that's all about.
It's Monreal who seems to block Hazard off.
Emerson.
Giroud got his hand to it, and puts Chelsea in front.
You just knew it was going to be him.
11 goals in this season's Europa League for Olivier Giroud.
What a header by Olivier Giroud.
It's inch-perfect into the bottom corner,
and Penichet has no chance of making the save.
Well, Giroud and this competition go together like Chelsea in trophies.
And stay onside.
Correa again in the way of the play from Kovacic.
He's found Hazard, options in the middle.
One of them's Pedro!
One hand on the trophy.
Kovacic as well, initially just to hang on to the ball,
but it's all about again, and it has Hazard set it up sweetly for Pedro.
I don't think he's got the best contact here.
How many times can you say, if you scuff it slightly,
it could go in the bottom corner, and I think that's what he's done.
Penichet left with absolutely no chance, right in the bottom corner.
Not the best of contact, but it's taken away from the goalkeeper,
and Chelsea have a massive advantage.
It's going to break for Pedro, cleverly done away from Ghiselni.
Trying to tee up Giroud, goes down, penalty!
Maitland-Niles nudged him in the back, and the referee points to the spot.
Pedro picks up the ball, there's the challenge.
How many times do we see players coming in from behind,
and we say they go down cheaply, but you don't do it in the penalty area.
And he may well have secured the trophy for the Blues.
How fitting is that?
Edin Hazard, cool as ice from the penalty spot.
I like to say that's an easy finish with Edin Hazard,
but you've got to understand the pressure that he would be under in this sort of situation.
Three quarters of the game gone, seems unlikely we're going to get extra time.
Certainly hope not.
From Xhaka, the ball back now would make it interesting for the neutral.
Bamiyan got that all wrong, Jorginho got his head to it,
then Iwobi had a go!
Oh, my goodness me, what a stunner from Alex Iwobi.
I was just thinking how well we defended this initially,
we were getting to the ball first,
but when someone just takes a shot on like that and makes absolute perfect contact,
sometimes you have to hold your hands up, there's nothing you can do about it.
Oh, they're giving it away, Arsenal.
Here goes Hazard, and he's found Giroud, angle's not great, worked it back to Edin Hazard!
Neighbour on the trophy, you knew that he'd have something to say in this final.
He's scored twice in it, and Chelsea's three-goal cushion is restored almost instantly.
Again, giving the ball away cheaply in midfield,
and all of a sudden you don't want it to fall to Edin Hazard.
Lovely little reverse pass, but this one by Giroud was perfect,
and Hazard finishes it so sweetly.
Often says, so often, doesn't he, Edin Hazard?
They have a good understanding, the two players, and there it's showed in bundles.
But what a chance this is as well for Willian.
He wants to go alone, it's opening up for Willian,
it's another really good save from Petr Cech.
That smart save by Petr Cech, decent enough shot by Willian.
As Piliquot is in here, why not?
Ooh, he almost managed it too, his first ever Chelsea goal came against Arsenal in the League Cup.
Just signs of Arsenal not giving up the ghost, but certainly switching off.
Andreas Christensen didn't know that.
What a save, Kepa, what a save.
Looking at Lacazette, he's onside, well, again, a sharp Lacazette would have finished that.
And maybe we're in a situation where mentally they are switching off.
I think the final block from Andreas Christensen was excellent.
Lacazette, Willock, what a moment for him, at least it should have been.
Well, that sums up Arsenal's night.
Just opens up his body too much.
Willock laying it off for Iwobi.
Lacazette, David Luiz again shuts the door.
Back in from Aubameyang, Lacazette couldn't win it.
From London to Baku, blue is the colour.
Chelsea, the Europa League winners for 2019.
They've won it for the second time in their history, they've only ever been in it twice.
A sad end to Petr Cech's career.
No Champions League football next season for Arsenal.
But once again, another trophy to add to the cabinet for Chelsea.
A first in his career for Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea 4, Arsenal 1.
Chelsea, the Europa League winners for 2019.
Everybody in that picture has played their part in another
remarkable success for the boys in blue.
