Celebs Face Backlash For Speaking Out On Israel-Gaza Conflict

Several celebrities have faced backlash for posting about the Israel and Palestine conflict on social media. Most notably, Kylie Jenner shared a post this week on Instagram from the pro-Israel organization. But less than an hour later, Jenner deleted the post after her comments were flooded with pro-Palestinian messages. Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, who is Israeli, also faced criticism after posting several pro-Israel messages on Instagram. In her post, she wrote, I stand with Israel. You should too. Pop singer Justin Bieber also shared his support for Israel on his Instagram story, but was quick to take it down after receiving comments that the photo was actually an image of destruction in Gaza. He then re-shared a post with the same message, but no background. Palestinian-American model Gigi Hadid took a balanced stance, condemning the horrors unleashed by militant group Hamas, in a statement she shared on Instagram. Meanwhile, sister Bella Hadid, who is known to be outspoken on her support for Palestine, has not shared any messages to her 60 million followers. Mia Khalifa, the media personality and former adult film actress, shared her support in many posts shared on X. Her support with Palestine led to Playboy announcing they will be cutting ties with Mia Khalifa for her statements which were described as disgusting.
