Hi. Good evening, everyone. I'm Khoai.
Good evening, everyone. I'm Khoai. Welcome to Khoai Lang Thang channel.
It's about 7 p.m. at Dao Vien airport in Taipei, Taiwan.
I just got off the plane about half an hour ago.
I just got my luggage and bought a 4G SIM behind my back.
There are many SIM exchange counters here.
You can buy in advance on services such as Kainlook, Dibui or Kakade.
There are many services that can support you to buy a SIM in advance.
You just need to hold a voucher or a QR code and go to the counter to buy a SIM.
There is also a 4G FAP. It depends on your needs.
I already have a 4G FAP. I just need to buy a 4G SIM.
Now I'm going to MRT to go back to the city center of Taipei.
There is a sign pointing to the left is MRT.
I will go this way and go straight to the end of the street.
There is a elevator to go down to the MRT.
I will go straight to the MRT to go back to the city center.
Actually, you can go by taxi or other vehicles.
But the price will be higher.
Taxi is only convenient for those who go in a group of 3-4 people.
If I go in a group like this, I think the MRT will be the most economical and convenient.
In fact, Nau Vien Airport is similar to other international airports.
There is not much difference.
When you go to the airport, just go through the customs gate,
get your luggage and buy a 4G SIM to use to contact.
Then I just need to find a vehicle to go back to the city center.
4G SIM will be 15-20% cheaper in Vietnam.
You can buy it here.
If you haven't bought it yet, you can buy it here.
It's not much more expensive.
This is the check-in counter of the airport.
It's very cute.
It's made of wood like train station.
I just need to look at the guide board and I can go.
It's very easy.
Here is the direction to MRT.
I will go in this direction.
Or go over here.
There is a elevator to go down to the MRT.
This is my luggage.
It includes a suitcase, a sleeping bag and a flycam.
In front of me is the machine to buy a ticket to the train station.
My train is Sanchong.
I will choose the language.
I will choose English.
My train is Sanchong.
You can see it.
I will click it.
Here is the price.
It's 130 TWD.
I will put the money in this machine.
The ticket will drop like this.
I will take this ticket to the other gate.
Wait a moment.
It's the same as in Thailand.
If you have been to Thailand, this is not very different.
I will put the ticket in here.
Hurry up.
When you line up to wait for the train, you have to remember the direction of the train.
I am standing at the station number 12.
It's right in front of the airport.
The train will go to Sanchong station.
It's over there.
The other side is the opposite direction.
When you get on the MRT, pay attention to this electronic board.
It will show the next station.
I am standing at the station now.
When I see the station, I will get off the train.
I have arrived at Sanchong station.
Actually, it only costs about 100,000 TWD to take the MRT.
I have arrived at the city center.
If you take a taxi, it will cost about 700,000 TWD.
So if you have a lot of taxi passengers, you should choose a taxi.
If there are only 1 or 2 people like me, it's best to take the MRT.
There is also a bus. The bus has to wait for a long time.
Besides, the bus is not as fast as the train.
Can you see that there are a lot of motorbikes here?
There are a lot of motorbikes on the street.
People here often use motorbikes to go to nearby places.
So I will rent a motorbike to go to places in the city center.
I think it's more convenient to take a bus to go out of the city center.
Because most of the streets are highway.
And I don't know the traffic rules, so I shouldn't take a bus.
If you take a motorbike here, you need to have a Vietnamese international ticket to take a bus.
My first impression when I came to Taipei is that the streets here are small.
Can you see the small shops?
It looks quite like the streets in Japan.
After the failure in the Sino-Japanese War,
China signed the Treaty of Shimonoseki on April 17, 1895,
giving Taiwan and the lake to Japan.
And Japan controlled Taiwan for 50 years
until it failed in World War II.
The Japanese are always afraid of the independence and independence of the Taiwanese people.
So they find every way to bring Japanese culture, Japanese spirit and Japanese ideology
in order to assimilate and turn Taiwanese into Japanese.
Taiwanese have a fast-moving ideology thanks to this.
But in turn, their culture was affected and brought a lot of Japanese influence.
Evidence that you can find the influence of Japan on the street,
in the cuisine, in the way of life.
That is also one of the parts that has created the special culture of Taiwan.
Taiwanese still keep the tradition of the Chinese.
But besides that, they also bring the spirit of Japan.
I hope that in the coming days, I will discover more interesting things in Taiwan.
Now I will go to bed early to have the energy to explore Taipei tomorrow.
Hi, good morning everyone. I'm Khoai.
Welcome to Khoai Lang Thang channel.
I'm in a small town in the center of Taichung city,
about 30-40 km near the sea.
And here is the lake.
I'm riding a bicycle.
Today I don't wear shorts like in Thailand.
Now I'm at Simending Night Market, one of the most famous night markets in Taipei.
Behind me is Phung Giap Night Market,
one of the largest night markets in Taichung.
Behind me is Niu Ha Street Night Market,
one of the most famous night markets in Taiwan.
And every time I go to the night market, I'm so excited
because there is always a lot of food.
Now it's 8 p.m. in Taipei city.
And behind me is Si Long Night Market,
one of the most famous night markets in Taipei.
There are a lot of delicious food here.
And now I will go to the night market to see what kind of food there is.
And I will eat and share with you.
Today is another rainy day in Taiwan.
Because in the morning, I also watched the weather forecast.
I think it's just heavy rain.
Unexpectedly, the rain is so heavy that it's like a flood.
It's okay.
This is behind me.
Can you see that?
Can you see the tall building behind me?
It's Taipei 101, one of the symbols of the development and prosperity of Taiwan.
Can you see that I'm so excited?
It's very cold here. It's about 11-12 degrees Celsius.
Clouds and fog all over the way.
I can see 10 bananas.
So cute.
Two very big king crabs.
Very big.
My face is even bigger.
It's huge.
Can you see that?
The chicken is bigger than my face.
This is the chicken breast.
They split it in half.
It's so big.
Oh, no. I put it back in.
There are only 3 pieces of meat in the picture.
I don't know why.
The owner brought it to the person who eats meat.
So this chicken dish is a bit too much.
So this lunch is a bit too much food.
But it's okay. I will try to eat it all.
Now I'm going back to the hotel.
See you in the next episode.
Don't forget to subscribe to support me.
I've been calling you a lot lately.
Goodbye, everyone.
I'm Khoai.
