Murdered For Being ‘Muslim’: 6-Year-Old Palestinian-American Boy Killed

A Palestinian-American 6-year-old boy has been fatally stabbed and his mother is in critical condition after a suspected hate crime. The 32-year-old mother, Hanan, was attacked by her landlord in her home on Saturday morning in Illinois. She was stabbed by Joseph Tuba more than a dozen times with a military-styled knife. He then went on to murder 6-year-old Radia Al-Fayoumi by stabbing him 26 times. She ran into the bathroom and called 911 and by the time she came out, he had located and murdered her child. This all happened in seconds. I know this because she texted this information to the father. Tuba allegedly said, you Muslims must die ahead of the attack and has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, hate crimes and aggravated battery. An official described Radia as a lovely boy who loves sports at a news conference. He was born in the US while his mother moved to the country 12 years ago from the West Bank. The victims are believed to have been targeted by the suspect due to their religion and the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict involving Hamas and the Israelis. And he paid the price for the atmosphere of hate and otherization and dehumanization that frankly I think we are seeing here in the United States.
