Hello Bloggineers, your Notts Ambassadors here. Today we're going to show you Ghost Town Alive.
Ghost Town Alive is an event that takes place every summer daily. It's where you can interact
with the citizens of Calico, go inside shops, stop robberies, deliver packages, and solve a mystery.
Very important, as we pass the buckets down, you may feel tempted to dump the water on the
person beside you. That's illegal, don't do it, it's a crime, you go to jail. If you ever find
yourself on fire, let me know, what do you do? Put water on them. But what if you don't have water?
They get more water. Nope, I recommend taking your cowboy hat and fire up.
Three, two, one, pass the bucket, pass the bucket, go, go, go, pass it on down, pass it on down.
So many brave citizens.
Hello Master. Hello there, welcome back. Do you know my name? I have no idea,
I have a happy Founder's Day today. Okay.
And repeat after me, okay? I promise to be the best citizens that I can be.
Very nice. I have a question, are there any new mysteries here? Any new mysteries? Well, you know,
we did have a beautiful painting over there. I thought they were taking it to dust it off
and clean it, but it has not come back. It's a painting of the Mona Lisa being painted,
that's very rare. Oh my gosh. It's very rare, one of a kind. Oh, any other? Well, I know not here,
but I know that somebody also was asking me if I saw a crown, and I know that somewhere there's
a spare crown from England. Can we own this building for like 30 minutes? We're going to
make this happen. What building would you like to own it for a little while? Maybe the pink?
We already own the pink. Actually, I want to own the jail. The jail? Okay, does that sound like a
good idea to you? And that has the time on there and my signature so they know it's an official
document, okay? Okay. All right, now be kind to them. We just talked to the town planner of Calico,
and he allowed us to own a building for 20 minutes, and here's the official note. I'm
going to trap someone in there for 20 minutes. Howdy, you want a picture? No, do you want to
follow us? Follow you where? Somewhere. Where are we going? You'll see. On an adventure? I'd love to,
let's go. Any paintings in there? A small mosquito. Oh wait, oh no. Deputy!
Did you bring any butter? No. Okay, wait for the birds to poop on your neck.
Because the town planner gave us this. All right, well it has to stay there, so I guess,
and it has to do its job. Can you open the jail? Well, it has to work for him,
and he's getting locked in there. I'm not getting in anymore. Get your arm out.
Get your arm out. Where are people putting themselves in jail today? I don't want to
be in jail, there's a mosquito in there. Okay, he got the ears out and everything.
We own the jail right now. Usually the deputies carry the keys to it. I'm the judge,
I just throw people in there, but I don't actually work here. We own the jail. I think
from now on, what's going to have to be is, y'all are going to have to be the owners of the bank.
We'll have to tell everyone when they get locked up that they're in your jail,
but until we get a new one, you're going to have to donate it to town here, all right?
I don't know, that one might have been easier to get through.
Look at this convict. Poor unfortunate soul is trapped. Make sure the feet are on the ground.
That's a rule of gravity. Look what brother's doing, now there's three convicts in the jail.
Can I borrow that? Why? I need to help you. You're going to help me sweep? Yeah.
Are you testing on my boots? What are you doing?
Another kid trying to dust his boots. Look what brother started.
Weren't you the guy who last year tried to rob the bank? And I stopped you?
Yeah, you tried to stop me. You're my number one enemy. Are you looking for the crown?
Yeah, I was looking for the crown, but I don't have the crown.
Are you sure? I would have it and wear it on my head.
No, you wouldn't steal it. Show and tell. You want to see what's in my bag?
You know what? I don't think I'll show you what's in my bag. I didn't get an answer.
Do you know what I see what's in my bag? This is yarn. I do finger knitting. In the river,
I got all these stones and stuff. Can I have one? No, you can't. If I were to bring you something.
Do you know what the word no means? Can we trade?
If I were to bring you something from the bank. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Oh, that means it. That means no. You don't get anything. I just show and tell. Look at this.
I'm showing and I'm telling you no, no, no. We can't just be civilized people. This is a critter
I call sprout. This is little sprout right here. Would you like to pet sprout on my head?
No. You know why I hold on to it? Because I don't trust you.
It seems like something happened in the bank. They got a trap.
I got the key. I need help opening this. Right, but this is not my jail. Yeah, but you used to
own it, mister. I did used to own it. Can you help me? I'll open it again in 15 minutes. Wait,
let me call out first. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. No, you can't just escape jail.
I mean, it's his jail. He can do what he wants. Yeah, yeah, but I'm gonna lock it from here.
There we go.
Every year Ghost Town Alive usually has an escape room style puzzle. And we noticed that there's a
lot of these cards throughout Ghost Town with two red letters and the rest are black text.
A D and an E. Do you know anything about these? I don't, but there's one here. Oh.
Can you take a picture of it? We did try to solve the mystery. In the end, the red letters,
if you put them in order, it says red trach. And I don't know what a trach is. I mean,
I tried searching it up, but there are multiple definitions. One of them is like a train track.
One is a path. So I don't know if we're supposed to follow a red path to go find the missing crowns,
because I think that's what the storyline this year is.
Five, six, seven, eight.
This is the Calico Circus and brother's job is to blow the horn.
Both of us? Yes, both of you.
I found this thing that says $20. So maybe we can get free $20.
So somebody told us to give you this check so we can cash in for $20.
She said to transfer the cash into gold from the bank.
Okay, thank you.
Yeah, we just swindled the bank and got free gold.
Oh, yeah. So by the way, we just stole this check. We didn't actually get it.
