Pemerintah Kota Banjarmasin menggelar Lomba Burung Berkicau Wali Kota Cup IX pada Minggu (29/10). Lebih dari 1.500 peserta atau yang dikenal dengan sebutan Kicau Mania dari Provinsi Kalimantan dan Jawa hadir memeriahkan perlombaan ini. (ANTARA)

The government of Banjarmasin held the bird race in Kicau, Walikota, Kap-9 on Sunday, October 29,
in commemoration of the 497th anniversary of the city of Banjarmasin.
More than 1,500 participants, or known as Kicau Mania,
from the provinces of Kalimantan and Java, participated in this race.
This year, there are more than 1,500 participants.
Last year, there were 1,500 participants from various regions,
especially from Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan,
West Kalimantan, and even Java Island.
So, this event is actually national.
That's why we, especially the Ministry of Food and Rural Affairs,
support this event every year.

According to him, by holding the bird race in Kicau, the price of bird sales can increase.

It's very good. It increases the price of birds.
In this Kicau Bird Race, the categories are, among others, volume,
duration, and song lyrics when the birds are singing.
In addition to receiving the prize, the winners also receive
a total of tens of millions of rupiah,
and an additional gift of one motorcycle unit,
as well as various other electronic devices.
