(Bundesliga 2023/2024): Highlights RB Leipzig - FC Koln

Back for Marvin Schweber. He's been terrific at the start of this season despite Köln's struggles. But look at this from Haidara to win it back. Zaner all on the referee. Now he gives a penalty. That's an interesting decision, but the challenge was exactly on the corner of the box after his pocket got picked here by Haidara. Cleverly done and then he falls into the... There he goes. Puts it away. Leipzig in front. Beaten the first man. Xabi with the outside of the boot. What a pass. To see that path that you need to take and then use your outside of the boot. That's an incredible idea there from Xabi. Just look at him. He curls that ball around to maybe three players. Right now for Miner. Certainly one of the quickest out there. Miner's ball in. Oh, Vashmit's there. Off the post. Oh, they got away with it. Oh, Vashmit again. Have they got away with it? Just about Leipzig. Flag eventually up. And then on the other side, Leipzig does need to do more at the moment. But when it comes to going forward, Cologne has to come up with better ideas. Well, here's Xabi for Henrik. Openda. It's Openda. Oh, wow. That's how you finish. Lloris Openda. With his right foot in the upper right corner. There's nothing Schwebe can do. And they're just using multiple players to do so. Oh, David Raum. Oh, it's in. David Raum. Four additional minutes we are into, by the way. Xabi finds David Raum. Xabi is enjoying himself out there. Five pass for Openda. Lovely turn. Oh, my words. That is just so good. He knows exactly how to get out of these situations. And so does Lloris Openda now. Just one quick turn. How he sends Xabo in the right, wrong direction. Sorry. You don't hear that a lot. Players with a master's degree in anything but football. Oh, a yellow card for Alisson. He's off. He is off. That good try there from Carvalho. Semicol. With a scoop cross. Cesco. The quickest to react. That's a corner short played. And then Carvalho just tries to get that ball into the area at first, but goes all the way around to the other side. And this. I know they'll be fighting against to stay clear of trouble. Baumgartner. Oh, terrific. Christoph Baumgartner with his first goal. I thought that ball was clear from Cologna. Look at Kylian and Alidou brings it back into the danger area where Baumgartner was waiting. It's one touch to control it, put it down and then curl it beautifully. A wonderful victory for Leipzig. A statement sent out to the rest of the Bundesliga as well by Marco Horst's team. Six of the best against FC Köln tonight. Another victory for them. Emphatic stuff. Ruthless finishing. And FC Köln who finished a player light as well. Simply having no answers.
