Hello, hello, we are MomRap and we thought we'd talk about the first concert all of us
ever went to.
My first concert was, headliner was Foreigner, big opener was Fawcat of Slow Ride fame.
I went with my dad and my brother and a friend and we just had GA tickets and it was at this
outdoor venue and it was like $15 to get VIP tickets for Foreigner, which just meant
we were like closer to the stage and it was like the sickest thing ever in my brain.
I only listened to Foreigner for probably two months after that as a 13 year old, which
I haven't listened to a lot of Foreigner lately but it was cool.
I still, I love Jukebox Hero, it's a great song, come on, come on, come on.
My first concert, so I had tickets to go see Aerosmith with ZZ Top and then Steven Tyler
broke his leg or something dumb like that, anyway.
So later my family had taken a vacation to France and my dad had boughten tickets to
go see Aerosmith.
We happened to be in, they happened to be in town, so I was super stoked, Guitar Hero
Aerosmith was out, I'm a big Guitar Hero kid and that's like the only thing I've played
for years and so when I finally got to see them it was like a dream come true and Joe
Perry at the end of the set smashed, like with the headstock, like jammed his guitar
into this fan at the front of the stage and then I just walked off.
Not like a fan that was watching him.
No, yeah, like a fan that blows air, no, yeah, not like an actual fan, yeah, he assaulted
someone, no, Joe Perry nailed a fan with his guitar, but it was the coolest thing ever
and I've always wanted to do the same thing, not to a person, just a blow fan, an air fan,
air fan, air fan, air fan, air fan, air fan, Josh here, my first real concert was Flaming
Lips and I saw them at Summerfest in Milwaukee because I was playing with School of Rock
in Omaha there and I had never really been to a big show before and it was pretty crazy,
like the dude came out and like crowd surfed in a hamster ball and they had these big inflatable
things and they died halfway through and then they like re-inflated and like the second
to last song or something the audience went nuts, I don't know, it was really cool and
I'm a big fan of the Flaming Lips now and I wish I could see them again because I feel
like I would appreciate it so much more now, but yeah, it was really sick.
My first concert I went to when I was 12 and it was Rush and it was on their Clockwork
Angels tour at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
My dad surprised me with tickets, yeah, I think it was my 12th birthday and he gave
them to me after I got like, you know, like a Rush t-shirt and a Rush like bass tab book
for Christmas, I was a huge Rush, still a huge Rush fan and it was just the most surreal
experience, I was probably the youngest person there, like definitely one of the only females
in the whole building because Rush is like goal repellent, but it was just this super
epic inspiring show and they created this whole big sound with just the three of them
and Geddy Lee was fronting and playing the synth with his feet and playing bass and yeah,
no, it was just super inspiring for me as a bassist, as a musician, kind of cemented
me wanting to, you know, do music and my dad's the only reason I got into music, he plays
guitar, good dad moment, shout out to Bill.
