The Church of Almighty God, CAG, is a new Christian religious movement that the Chinese
regime has brutally suppressed.
CAG has many works of art that point towards God while condemning the godless nature of
the CCP, the main reason why members of CAG's art troops were hunted down and arrested
by the CCP.
Li Yanli is a famous artist and member of CAG.
She participated as the lead actor in the movie Xiaozhen's Story, released in 2015.
This movie won many awards.
Xiaozhen's Story tells of a girl who, due to a psychological shock, falls into a life
of materialism and sin.
The girl's dark world is symbolized by people wearing animal masks.
But in the end, the girl left the world to return to her honest nature to follow the
path of God.
As one of CAG's most famous artists, Li is on the Chinese regime's most wanted list.
Chinese police regularly harassed her parents and relatives, trying to find out her whereabouts.
Li fled to South America, but unfortunately, she went to countries with close relationships
with the CCP.
Without a visa, Li was forced to fly back to China.
When changing flights at the airport of Madrid Barajas, she placed her hope in Spain, believing
it was a democratic country.
She wanted the Spanish government to give her political asylum.
But unfortunately, the Spanish police did not allow it and forced Li to flight to China.
Li Yanli knew that if she returned to China, what awaited her was imprisonment, torture
and rape, a common occurrence for captured CAG women and even death.
On November 3, after being escorted by Spanish police onto a China flight, Li Yanli cut
her wrists.
Spanish police intervened and immediately bandaged her wound.
The police still insisted that she must return to China.
They did not stop until the flight crew refused to allow her to continue the flight, citing
security concerns.
According to Bitter Winter, up to November 4, Li Yanli was still detained at Building
T1 of Madrid Barajas Airport.
Li Yanli told Bitter Winter from the airport, I cannot go back to China.
I am sure I will be tortured and killed there.
I have no way back.
I am in pain.
I am also desperate.
I would rather die than be sent back to China.
