If you don't like lavender,
please watch today's video and try to imitate it.
In that case, you can replant it in a new place.
The leaves will come back.
Hello, I'm Midori Mamuro from Salibel, a garden shop in Saitama Prefecture.
This time, the theme is how to grow French Lavender.
I'm the manager of Salibel.
This is Mii Onirunami.
She is a 11-year-old female cat.
She sometimes gets her hair wet.
Please watch her from a distance.
Do you live in Salibel?
Yes, I live in Salibel.
Mii doesn't like the scent of lavender,
but I like it very much.
In this video, I will teach you how to grow French Lavender.
I will also teach you how to enjoy lavender even if you are a beginner.
I will also teach you how to make French Lavender bloom beautifully every year.
Please watch this video until the end.

That's all for today.
The season is about to start in April.
It's a good season to plant lavender.
The temperature has stabilized.
I'm worried about cleaning.
I think it's safe now.
I'm going to plant something I bought in a new pot.
I'm going to replant the turnip I bought last year.
Please look forward to it.
French Lavender is starting to bloom in early March and early February.
The color of the petals of the rabbit-like ears is twice as bright as white and purple.
I'm looking forward to it.
This is Crystal White.
This white-ish type is very popular.
It's beautiful.
The green veins of the petals of the rabbit-like ears are also very beautiful.
The scent of lavender is strong.
French Lavender is in full bloom now.
In mid-April, English Lavender will be in full bloom.
It's a popular type of lavender with a bright blue color.
This type of lavender is called Grosso.
This type of lavender is called Lavandier.
This type of lavender is strong against cold and heat.
This type of lavender is easy to grow in Kanto and Saitama.
This type of lavender has a long nose.
This type of lavender has a wide range of uses, such as lavender sticks and lavender harvesting.
This type of lavender has a strong scent.
Lavender has different characteristics depending on the season.
The French Lavender that I'm going to introduce today is quite hot.
Instead, it's not very strong against the cold.
I think it's a good idea to aim for about 5 degrees below zero.
English Lavender, which comes out after mid-April, is common in lavender fields in Hokkaido.
Hokkaido is cool in summer.
The group that is not good at the heat of summer is English Lavender.
Today, I'm going to introduce you to how to grow it.
This is a lavender that is relatively strong against heat.
Lavender has good water-repellent properties.
Of course, I use a biode that has good water-repellent properties.
This time, I used the original biode from Sunnyvale.
The water-repellent properties of this biode are very good.
So you can grow lavender only in this biode.
In order to improve the water-repellent properties, I'm going to use a biode of cactus and other plants.
I'm going to use a sand-like biode.
It's a sand that has a good texture.
It's not a sandy texture.
It's a biode that has a good texture.
It's easy to get used to the biode for lavender.
I'm going to mix this with green soil and make it today.
It looks like this.
I'm going to mix this 30% and 40%.
I'm going to make it so that the water comes out easily.
The biode of cactus and other plants is a biode that does not contain water, rather than a biode that collects water.
I'm going to make it so that I can improve the water-repellent properties by mixing it.
And the choice of pot.
Lavender blooms very refreshingly like a grass flower.
Originally, it was a tree.
It's not a grass, it's a tree.
It's really becoming like a tree.
There is also a place called Osei in the western part of Japan.
It says, let's plant it in a relatively large pot.
The diameter is 24cm or 85 pot.
It says, let's plant it now.
It's better to dry the water early to create a good water-repellent environment.
If you plant it a little smaller, it's less likely to fail.
This time, it's a pot with a diameter of about 21cm, which is called a 75 pot.
If you always fail to plant lavender, try using a pot that is a little smaller.
Then the water will drain quickly and it will be difficult to get wet, so it will be easier to avoid various troubles.
Let's actually plant it.
Another point about how to choose a pot is to choose a pot with a good water-repellent structure from the beginning.
This is called a rose pot and is often used for roses.
There are a lot of holes for good water repellent.
There is also a pot with a slit on the outside called a slit pot.
This time, lavender is very nice, so I would like to plant it in a pot that matches it and create a lavender-like space.
I would like to choose a pot.
Which one is good?
It's very refreshing to match it with a little blue color.
It's good from now on, and it's good to make it black and chic.
I think it's also good to match the atmosphere of the place where you put it.
In the case of lavender, the soil is not acidic, but slightly alkaline, so it is said that the soil is in good condition.
You don't have to make any special adjustments there.
I'm going to put the stone in the pot.
There is also a hole to drain the water.
First, I'll put the soil in.
I'm not very good at planting lavender with a lot of nitrogen.
You don't have to put it in, but if you want to use it for tourism, you can put it in.
After that, you can use it for liquid fertilizer.
This time, I'm going to plant it with green soil and biodegradable soil.
And I'll take it out of the pot.
The roots look white like this, so this is a healthy root.
It's not spinning around, so I think it's okay.
I don't think I need a special rolling pin to touch it with my hands.
I think it's better not to break it down too much.
And this is the soil on the shoulder.
I'll take it out in a pot shape.
I'll clean up the dirt, dust, and dead leaves.
The tip of the leaf is a little brown, but this is not a disease.
There is a point in planting lavender to improve water discharge.
Rather than the center of the stem, I will plant it so that the roots do not float a little.
If you plant it in a way that pops out a little, it will be difficult to water and air will enter.
It will be a season when it will be wet, so you can plant it so that it does not sink.
I think it's a good idea to plant it so that the soil on the shoulder sticks out a little.
If you are afraid that lavender will fail, please watch today's video and try to imitate everything.
If you still fail, I think it's because of the environment, but I hope you will refer to it.
This part is sticking out like this.
Normally, I would plant it at the same height as this, but I'm planting it so that the center of the stem does not sink, but it's sticking out a little.
I think it's a good idea to plant it like this.
After planting, give plenty of water.
Give plenty of water until a lot of water comes out from the bottom.
If you give plenty of water with a mixture of active agents, the roots will be firm and crisp, so please try it.
And this French Lavender is a place to put it, but it is a place where sunlight often hits.
It is planted in a pot, so it can be moved.
On days when it rains for a long time, it is also important to move it to a place where it does not get wet.
And French Lavender has a large head and tends to fall off.
So, especially in the case of large varieties like this, if you take care of it a little, you can enjoy it as it is, but it is also cute to stretch and fall off flexibly.
If you happen to hit the rain and fall down, it's a little slow to move it to the bottom by gently removing the flowers and water, but I think it's better to be careful.
French Lavender has a very nice decorative part of the stem, so you can enjoy one flower for a long time.
There are a lot of small flowers here, but I think it would be nice if you could cut them with scissors when they are a little discolored and not so dirty, but this is an explanation of where to cut them.
If you go all the way down from the stem, you will find a new flower bud.
Cut it on top of this.
Then the two buds on the side will bloom again.
That's how you cut it.
And when you do the flower arrangement, the buds that come up from the bottom will swell again and bloom again, so you can enjoy it by attaching flowers to the front of the summer rain.
However, in the rainy season, it is not good to be in a situation where it is high temperature and damp, so cut it roughly before it enters the rainy season.
Even if you cut it roughly, you can't cut it with this stem, but you can cut it in half.
From the current size, if you cut it in half, the wind passage will be better, and you can keep it without withering in the summer.
And how to give fertilizer.
French Lavender is said to prefer a fertilizer that is strong rather than giving fertilizer all year round.
I don't give fertilizer when I plant it now, but I think that if you give liquid fertilizer when the flowers are in bloom, you can manage it somehow.
In the summer, if you can move to a place where you can hang it in the afternoon rather than a day, you may need to manage it like that.
But I think that French Lavender is relatively strong in the summer.
In the fall, I think that French Lavender is not color-coded, but there is also a type of work that blooms again in the fall.
I think there are various displays in the store, so please look for it.
In the fall, the flowers will come up, so it feels like it blooms cutely, which is also nice.
In the fall, when the temperature in September softens a little, I will give liquid fertilizer again.
I think it's better not to give midwinter and midsummer fertilizer.
And how to give water.
I think there are quite a few people who die from this management.
This time, the water is made in a good condition, so the condition is in a way that it is thrown away.
If the surface of the soil is dry and you can still see black soil after digging about 1 cm, please wait without giving water.
And when you give it, give it plenty.
If possible, it is better to give it in the morning.
If there is water at the timing of the morning, the plants will come to the station, so it will be like that.
In the winter, in areas where the temperature does not drop below 5 degrees, you can manage it with Nukista.
I think that insulation measures are necessary in places where it gets very cold.
Probably in Saitama, the Toyokasu system was also fine with Nukista, so I think that you can grow it like that.
The water in the winter is quite strong enough not to die even if it is dry, so I think you should be careful not to raise the water too much.
I don't think it's necessary to cut the Toyokasu-type lavender completely before winter.
I think it's okay to cut it completely around the beginning of March when new shoots come out from the bottom.
As for the selection, I will prepare a video so that I can inform you in a timely manner when the time comes, so please look forward to that as well.
And if you give liquid fertilizer, it may hurt the roots if you give it right after planting, so remember to wait 10 to 2 weeks before giving liquid fertilizer.
If you've been enjoying this Toyokasu-type French lavender since last year,
I'm not sure if this is really Toyokasu-type, but I tried it with a small pot so that the leaves wouldn't rot as much as possible, so it feels like the leaves are getting smaller due to malnutrition.
I forgot to select.
There are already flowers in this, so if I cut it now, the flowers won't bloom, so I'll replant it.
Replanting is the same as the planting season, so I think it would be good to replant by mid-April.
I'd like to explain it briefly.
First of all, I'll pull it out of the pot, but if you want to pull it out, it's easier to remove it if you make a hole with a toothpick.
It's hard, isn't it?
I'm sure the roots are clogged.
The roots are clogged.
At this time, if the leaves have already spilled out or become very weak and wobbly, there may be insects or larvae inside.
In that case, I think it would be good to replant it at this time because the leaves will come back to life when I replant it in a new place.
This time, the size of this pot was small, so I'd like to replant it.
I'm a replant master.
Please be careful of the jagged parts.
It's easy to do this because it makes it quite supple.
I'll put it aside.
Oh, wait a minute.
I used to use an inner pot.
I think I'll be able to get my NG treatment this year.
I'll cut it.
I don't use an inner pot.
It's a fake.
I'll clean the soil on the surface.
I'll also remove the shoulder lightly.
And I'll cut off the thin branches that look like a beard.
The roots are so white that I have to remove them.
I'll also scrape off the soil on the side.
You can cut it with a replant master, but this time I'm not going to scrape off the roots.
I'm going to break the soil and put the soil between the roots on the outside.
After replanting, I'll leave it in the shade for about two weeks.
I've cut so many roots that I don't think I'll be able to catch up.
I'd like to be a little more patient.
I made it a little bigger.
The diameter is 27cm, the inner diameter is 27cm, and the depth is 26cm.
I'm going to put a pot in it and put some new soil in it.
It's the same as the way I planted it earlier.
I think it's a good idea to plant it a little higher.
It's a little wobbly, so I'm going to plant it while holding it.
If you just put it in from one side, it'll tilt over here.
Once you've put it in the right place, you can flush the soil a little bit.
Or if you put it in alternately on the other side, it'll stand up straight.
Depending on the material, there are some plants that are distorted and look like this.
If you plant it like this, you can get a good balance.
That's how you replant it, and there's also a way to treat it as soon as possible.
How was it?
This time, I introduced you to how to manage French Lavender.
French Lavender is gorgeous just by looking at it.
I hope you'll try this pot again.
And if you tend to fail, try making the pot a little smaller.
Or try to hold back the way you water it.
If you do that, you might be able to do it better than you think.
I'd be happy if you could try that, too.
