M what you eat piges excuse me sir one
more bowl of rice thank you very
much hey welcome back with the T C So
today we're going to talk about nine
weird Asian eating habits let's do
[Music]
it bro it's so hot today man I know it
is okay I know just what to order oh you
go you go I I don't know much right
we'll get the spicy Mala hot pot and the
spicy M tofu and can we also get the
spicy no no no no no no that's all spicy
stuff you're going to kill yourself it's
100° outside you got to eat spicy stuff
when it's not outside trust me how does
that work what
yo yeah sorry can I have a ice cat
Coke yeah so no no no we're going to get
the hot tea thank you hot tea trust
[Music]
me in China it seems that the hotter the
region the spicier the food and one of
the reasons that they do that it seems
is because when you eat spicy stuff you
sweat a lot more and sweating is going
to help you cool your body down it's
going to be better than drinking some
cold water which is more temporary oh
and then they drink hot tea cuz it also
detoxifies the body and wash down the
oils cuz chain food can be really
[Music]
oily what are you doing that's oh my
parents always did this you just wipe it
down a little bit with some hot tea I
think it's because they think it's not
that clean but yeah just cleans it up a
little
bit why would not be clean it'll be
cleaner let us know if your Asian
parents or friends do
[Music]
this well I'm so ready to eat man I got
my dessert Fork my steak Fork my steak
Knife dessert salad knife man I'm so
ready for this meal that's confusing you
just need these Chopsticks does
everything are you sure you don't need a
huge fork for your salad yes I'm
[Music]
sure so in Western culture using these
many utensils is kind of part of their
etiquette but in eastern culture we just
get it done with the Chopsticks yeah
actually I always get kind of confused
when eating at some Western Restaurants
I'm trying to figure out what to use
first for my salad and what to use for
my dessert at the very end so you have
to actually learn which one I use which
is kind of
interesting
true
[Music]
Chopsticks can you just order I don't
know what is good here I'll order my
favorites so we'll get the stinky tofu
good and pig blood soup you got to try
that stir Fred Pig intestine oh they got
pig ears I love that huh okay and then
chicken feet that is amazing we'll get
that as well and the last one I think
we'll get thye old egg with tofu
y you okay with that no I'm not okay
with that you eat pigar trust me just
try it out okay
[Music]
okay from what I know Asians do not
waste any part of the animal that
they're eating so they'll use every
single part of it in their dishes so
chicken
feet pck and pck and testin but they
taste good yeah they're actually really
good so you should give it a
try thank you thanks all right let's
diing I got the fish yes oh I thought
we're sharing everything cuz at Chinese
restaurants usually just eat together
you share
ew all I'm digging it first bone Appetit
baby so westerners usually order one
dish to eat by themselves and in the
East we usually do family style you
share
[Music]
everything M yo that's good yo try some
of this Lam
Sam
you touch this with your dirty
Chopsticks that's
normal when you're eating with close
friends or family usually you just you
could take the food with your own
chapsticks and you could also give it to
other people but if it's with I think
people are more unfamiliar with we have
these public Chopsticks
here and then you would use this to get
food for yourself and and food for your
friends so still sanitary guys yes it's
sanitary yo you've got to try these beef
noodle soups they're amazing nice let's
go let's do
this
what oh my God that is good that oh my
[Music]
goodness h
[Music]
all right so when I was visiting Japan I
found out that if you slurp your noodles
when eating Ramen it's a compliment to
the chef but growing up I actually never
did at my house and I think I would get
towed off so in Asian cultures usually
you're supposed to eat quietly as well
so I think in Japanese cultures it's
good to slurp slurping
[Music]
noodles we got another bone oh my gosh
fish and chips don't have this many
bones I mean this is the only fish I've
ever
had how do you are you eating the eye
you want the eyeball e no no no bro stop
gock on it no in the west when they eat
fish usually there's no bones they take
fish yeah take bones off it's just the
like a fet yeah but in the ESU if it's
like this it means it's fresh and it's
it's good personally I don't like eating
fish because of the bones but what about
you I'm okay with either
or
[Music]
can I get one more Bowl
please oh also have a bowl of
rice thank you one more rice
please thank you ex excuse me sir one
more bowl of rice thank you very
much waiter just one more rice thank you
very
much all right just one last bowl thank
you so actually Asians love to eat carbs
and in different areas of China they
have different preferences for example
in the north we like to eat noodles and
mtos buns and dumplings but in the South
I think they prefer rice more
carbolicious all right thanks for
