#holidaygiftguide#holidaygiftideas#holiday2023 Here is first of many gift guides that I'll be doing for the season! As I get older, I'm starting to understand the importance of not going to a holiday party empty handed. I put together this list of gift ideas for the host/ hostess that are practical, but also thoughtful! You can shop all of these gifts on Wayfair! The Black Friday Early Access Sale has begun and you can get up to 70% off home deals! I will have the links to all the products below as well as on my LTK.
Hi!! My name is Sonali (sun-all-ee), I'm 25 years old and I have been living in Austin, TX ever since I graduated from University of Central Florida in 2019! I worked in a corporate job for a couple years after, but I recently took the leap to pursue taking on being a full time photographer in the Austin area and full time influencer! Follow along on this journey with me and you can also find me on IG, TikTok, pretty much anywhere!❤️
Hey, y'all, what's up? My name is Sonali. Welcome to my channel. If you guys are new, I have my Christmas tree set up in the back.
We literally just set it up last night. I'm so excited about it.
This is my first Christmas tree ever, like, between me and Ryan because we've been in apartments before this and we never had a place to store our Christmas tree.
And now we have storage for it, so I'm getting in the Christmas spirit and I thought I would film a little holiday gift guide video for you guys.
In this video, I'm going to be sharing gifts for the homeowner or the host, literally anything in that realm.
I'm actually going to a housewarming party this Friday, so I'm going to do a little brainstorming research myself, so I thought I would share it with you guys.
I'm so excited because Wayfair is actually sponsoring this video. They're doing Black Friday Early Access, so you can literally shop now, which is honestly perfect because holiday parties start so early now and you never want to come empty-handed.
You can score on home deals up to 70% off, plus fast and free shipping.
Also, Wayfair doesn't only have just, like, furniture and home decor.
Need to find a dining room table. That is on the to-do list.
I want to share gifts with you guys in all different price ranges, depending on, you know, if you're closer to someone, maybe you'll spend a little bit more.
But we're starting off with a mortar and pestle, and I didn't really, like, think of this until I saw this gorgeous green marble-looking one.
And I actually have very fond memories of, like, this random kitchen tool because I just remember that was, like, my only job as a child in the kitchen with my mom.
I'd be grinding up the spice and I thought it was so fun, but also you can use it as, like, a styling piece in your kitchen.
I feel like I've been seeing, especially on Pinterest, so many photos of a styled kitchen.
I thought it'd be fun to give you guys some suggestions on what to pair these gifts with to make it a little bit more thoughtful.
So this mortar and pestle, obviously, you can grind up spices in it.
So I was thinking, like, getting a unique spices kit of some sort or even just, like, one spice that you love that maybe they don't really have in their cabinet because it's more unique.
Next gift for our house would be a wooden book stand.
I think this is so adorable because, again, not only is it practical, but it is so freaking cute.
And then you can pair, like, your favorite cookbook or maybe a cookbook that's trending, maybe a holiday cookbook, or you can even handwrite some recipes.
I've seen so many people do this and I think that is so thoughtful.
I feel like anything handwritten these days is like, oh my god, you actually put in some effort into this gift.
Next up is a set of coasters, which honestly is a little bit basic.
I know, I know.
But I feel like now that I'm older, I care more about my furniture.
I actually want people to use the coasters.
Like, when I was a kid, I'm like, ugh, I don't need a coaster, like, whatever.
But now that I'm paying for my furniture, yeah, I want it to last and I don't want any of those rings on it.
And now I also kind of look at them as decor pieces.
You can get some really beautiful marble ones.
Like I said, the coasters are kind of basic.
So to elevate this gift, I would pair it with a cocktail making kit.
You can buy these, like, pretty much anywhere or you can make your own with, like, a nice high quality mixer.
Maybe they can use their own alcohol, but just maybe, like, some garnishes.
Next up are these colored wine glasses.
And I feel like this has been all over my For You page on TikTok recently.
I think this is the perfect gift to give someone who is in college or just got out of college.
It's giving, like, cute little girls' night in vibes.
And you can pair it with a bottle of wine.
Next up is any kind of, like, Christmassy activity.
I was thinking Christmas cookie cutters because I personally don't think I would, like,
spend a ton of money on this.
But it would be so nice to have just for the traditions around this time of year.
You could present it in a basket full of baking ingredients.
And even, like, with a handwritten card for your favorite cookie recipe.
That would be so freaking cute.
Younger me would laugh that I'm putting this on my holiday gift guide.
But it is ornaments.
And the only reason I'm saying that is because I vividly remember being in Girl Scouts
and we would do white elephant every single year.
I would get, like, no offense to whoever bought them,
but I would get the worst ornaments.
And I was, like, what, 10?
I don't need an ornament.
I don't want an ornament at 10 years old.
And other kids got, like, candy and fun stuff.
And I was, like, what the heck?
I don't want an ornament.
But now I'm realizing how pricey things can get.
And nice ornaments, or, like, even those, like, fun little detailed kitschy ones, like,
are so cute.
I think it would be so sentimental if you got an ornament that, like, kind of represents
your friends.
So, for example, I'm a photographer.
So if someone got me an ornament having to do with, like, photography, like, camera,
or, like, a little film strip, I think that would be so adorable.
Or even the nicer packs of ornaments.
I know you probably can't tell right now, but our treat is a little bit bare.
We definitely need some more ornaments.
So I think I'm going to order some tonight.
I'm going to get into the higher end price points.
This is more for, like, family and family friends.
Someone that you've known for a long time and that you don't mind spending a little
bit more on.
Starting off strong is pretty much any KitchenAid accessories.
I think this has been on my Christmas wish list for the past three years, ever since
I got my KitchenAid mixer.
Costume making one is high up on my list.
It's definitely the pricier one out of all the attachments.
There's this one girl on TikTok.
I think her name's Olivia.
She throws these pasta making parties, and I just could imagine that for myself.
Therefore, I really want this pasta KitchenAid attachment.
But there's also, like, the ice shaver that can create, like, snow cones.
There's also the veggie spiral one you can make, like, zucchini noodles with.
And that way your person can get a little bit more use out of their KitchenAid.
Because I know right now I'm not doing a ton of baking.
Even though the holiday season is here, I probably should ramp it up.
This next one is definitely going to be on a lot of people's wish lists, especially
if you're my age.
Like, you get the hype.
It is a nugget ice maker.
You know, like, the Sonic ice that's really crunchy and is, like, perfect for cocktails.
And I don't know.
It's just, like, a vibe to have the nugget ice.
If you guys have seen my empty house store video, it is my dream to make, like, the laundry
room pantry thing into a butler's pantry.
And that way I'll actually have a place to store the nugget ice maker.
If you don't have this already, it definitely needs to be on your wish list.
And that's a Roomba.
I have a robot vacuum, and it is honestly such a game changer.
Because whenever I have friends over, I feel like I'm always panic cleaning.
I leave it till the last moment.
Shocker.
Wow.
But then I don't have to spend my time vacuuming myself.
It literally just vacuums for me, and it's amazing.
This next one is not a need, but a want.
And it's anything from Smeg.
Like, literally anything.
I'll take anything.
They have tea kettles.
Their toasters are so freaking cute.
It just looks really good in your kitchen.
But if you're gifting this to someone else, I recommend trying to, like, maybe FaceTime
them and, I don't know, ask for a tour of their kitchen just to see what other colors
their appliances are so that you can pick out a color that matches everything else.
Last but not least is a Jonathan Adler Vice canister.
It has so many cute little sayings on it.
One that says meow.
You can, like, use this as cat treats.
But, you know, make it more aesthetic in your kitchen or wherever you want to put it.
There's ones that say gummies, munchies, secrets.
There's a ton to choose from, so you can get the perfect one for your friend or family.
I actually discovered this last Christmas because I saw someone get this as a gift in
a White Elephant Exchange.
I wrapped up this holiday gift guide.
You can shop Wayfair's Black Friday Early Access Sale now.
Throughout the whole month, Wayfair is going to be rolling out deals on different categories,
so be sure to check back on Wayfair's site.
I'm definitely going to need to stock up on some of these gifts for the holiday parties
that are coming up because you should never show up empty-handed.
