Ketua Badan Pengawas Pemilihan Umum (Bawaslu) Rahmat Bagja menginstruksikan jajarannya untuk mengawasi dan melaporkan akun media sosial yang melanggar aturan sepanjang masa kampanye hingga Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu 2024) kepada Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika. Bagja menyampaikan hal tersebut kepada jajaran Bawaslu seluruh Indonesia saat Apel Siaga Pengawasan Tahapan Kampanye pada Pemilu 2024 di Monas, Jakarta Pusat, Minggu (26/11). (ANTARA)

The Chairperson of the General Election Supervisory Board, Rahmat Bakja,
directed his team to monitor and report social media accounts
that have violated the duration of the campaign until the 2024 election.
The matter was reported to Bakja during the preliminary appeal for the monitoring of the campaign stage
at the 2024 election in Monas, Central Jakarta on Sunday, November 26.
Bakja ensured that the Supervisory Board had a task force
and coordinated directly with Kominfo to monitor the campaigns on social media.
Each of the regional Supervisory Board made a special strategy
to monitor the campaigns on social media,
identify popular actors,
accounts that potentially spread false information
and trends that may need to be monitored.
Therefore, the presence of Mr. Kominfo here
ensures that you have a direct coordination with Kominfo.
If there is a problem with social media,
if there is a problem with accounts, report it.
In addition to patrolling social media,
Mr. Waslu also cooperated with civil society coalitions such as Mavindo and ICT Watch
to ensure that there are no hoaxes or slanders.
During the campaign until the 2024 election,
if there is a slander report,
Mr. Waslu will conduct an investigation and study the report.
Bakja insisted that his party will not look down on slander
and hopes that this election can run better.
