Hello, Mr. Chen Chang
Hello, Lucy. Hello, everyone
On Dec. 10, the International Human Rights Day
The Chinese mainland and Hong Kong's historic monument
will be carved in Los Angeles Park in Los Angeles, U.S.
A symposium and ceremony will be held there
Mr. Chen Chang, I know that you are one of the organizers
I want to ask, in the 50s and 70s
a large number of Chinese mainlanders
in order to avoid the persecution of the regime
and the poverty of life, fled to Hong Kong and other countries
Some historical documents record that there were at least 2.8 million people
This has actually been a long history
So now the monument in Los Angeles Park
What is its significance and how long will it last?
On Dec. 10, the International Human Rights Day
the establishment of the Great Hall of the History Monument
has a very important historical significance
Because we know that from 1949 to 1980
during these 30 years, more than 2 million people
came to Hong Kong from the mainland
Among these 2 million people
some applied to Hong Kong through normal procedures
But also a large number of people
came to Hong Kong through various forms of theft
Many people in the mainland
in order to avoid the disaster of communism
They have been involved in a series of serious or large-scale theft in the past
According to a Chinese scholar
Mr. Chen Bingwang's statistics
Around 1.5 million people came to Hong Kong during this period
He calculated it according to the statistics of the Hong Kong Statistics Bureau
The more accurate number should be
In the late 1970s, around 1978,
the statistics of the Hong Kong Statistics Bureau
In the past three years, nearly 400,000 people have fled Hong Kong
Because the people who fled Hong Kong were either arrested by the police
Or they went to the police station to turn themselves in
To seek legal detention
So the statistics of the Hong Kong Statistics Bureau are very accurate
That is to say, during the period of 1978, 1979, and 1980
Nearly 400,000 people came to Hong Kong
So if you add up the previous thefts
It is estimated that 1.5 million people should be about the same
So Mr. Chen Bingwang's estimation can be trusted
After these people came to Hong Kong
Some settled down in Hong Kong
Some people continue to spread around the world
After so many years, many people in Hong Kong or abroad
Have already settled down to develop their own careers
Until recently, some people started to feel
When their career is successful, they feel
They are beginning to embrace the past, to escape from Hong Kong with them
But those who are on the way may not be able to make it
So starting from 2012
A group of so-called educated youths came to Hong Kong
The so-called educated youths, as you all know, is to go to the countryside
The so-called educated youths went to the countryside
After being subjected to a lot of hardship
After coming to Hong Kong
They started to hold a seminar on the issue of educated youths
Then they started to discuss
Because many educated youths were displaced on the way to and from Hong Kong
So they started to hold a memorial
A memorial to commemorate the displaced educated youths in Hong Kong
So I remember the first memorial
It should be around 2014
It was set up on the island of Kowloon in Hong Kong
Then on May 1st of that year, they went to worship
When they went to worship for the first time
There were almost 300 people on a boat to worship
But originally, this worship was purely a form of folk mourning
It was called Jut You back then
What is Jut You?
Jut You, as you know, there is a Jut in the flag
After the Jut, there is no turning back
That is to say, they will never go back
So it is called Jut You
These Jut You started this memorial
And they went to worship every year
Originally, this was purely a humanitarian practice
To remember some dead friends
And hope to remember this period
Which caused a large number of people to flee
So as far as I know, the island of Kowloon was popular at that time
Why? Because when many intellectuals
Travelled from Mainland China to Hong Kong
Kowloon was the earliest place to land
It was closest to Shenzhen
From the current Yim Tin in Shenzhen
To Hong Kong by water
Kowloon was the fastest place to land
So many people landed in Kowloon at that time
But many people drowned or were bitten by sharks on their way to Kowloon
So they could not land
So Kowloon was a popular place for them to go
Why? Because every year they would bring some business
Such as food and shopping
And they could help to worship the dead
Because the villagers of Kowloon Island were superstitious
So many people died and drowned near Kowloon
They felt that they should be exalted
So as far as I know, the villagers of Kowloon Island were welcome
But after a while, they felt that they didn't want to go
Why didn't they want to go?
Maybe because they were under political pressure
Because this was originally a very simple starting point
A very pure act of mourning the dead
It was also an act to record this tragic history
But because it recorded the disaster of communism
So at that time, for the CCP
This was a very suspicious act
So they started to use some political channels
Such as the CPC Central Committee to tell the villagers of Kowloon
That they should not continue to worship the dead
So the villagers of Kowloon Island said
To tell these people not to come here
Because they were already under some pressure
To tell them not to go
So what did they do?
They chose to go to Apcheo
Apcheo is a deserted island near Kowloon
They thought that since it was a deserted island
They couldn't control it, so they went to Apcheo to worship
But the people of Kowloon Island said
Hey, Apcheo has been governed by Kowloon in geography
If you go to Apcheo, it will be like Kowloon
If you continue to worship in Apcheo
Kowloon will definitely be under this pressure
So they couldn't worship in Apcheo
Under such circumstances, there were some people
Who thought that as the political situation in Hong Kong
Becomes more and more tense
As the political ideology in Hong Kong becomes more and more mainlandized
One day, they might even have to rent a boat to go out to sea
So there were some people
Who were relatives in the U.S.
First of all, they proposed
Why don't we build this bay in the U.S.
And worship in the U.S.
So that we can never be under political pressure
Because they were worried
Every May 1st, there will be 100, 200, or even 300 people going out to sea
It is very easy for them to say that
The boat will not allow you to go out to sea
Or prevent you from renting a boat
So everyone thought of this possibility
Why don't we build a memorial bay in the U.S.
Although Hong Kong's relatives
As far as I know, they have continued to worship in the past few years
But they are very, very low-key
They don't want to cause any inconvenience to the local government
But the relatives in the U.S.
After they came back, they decided to continue this kind of worship in the U.S.
There are two groups
First of all, the relatives in the East China Sea
In the early days, in a cemetery in Shenzhen, Xizhou
In a cemetery, a cemetery
A memorial bay for the dead was built
The relatives in the West China Sea
In addition to mourning
The memorial bay in the East China Sea is mainly for mourning
So the names of the dead are engraved
Then ask them to rest in this cemetery
The relatives in the West China Sea
They feel that this history should be commemorated
To remember this history
So they are in a free sculpture park near California
Mr. Chen Wai-ming
The sculpture park he built
In the sculpture park, a permanent memorial bay was built
To commemorate the history of the Great Leap Forward
This memorial bay was chosen to be opened on December 10
To let everyone know the significance of this memorial bay
The relatives in the West China Sea
Decided to hold a seminar on December 9, the day before the opening of the memorial bay
The seminar will invite Professor Perry Link
He will give a speech on the topic
Why did he invite Perry Link?
Because Perry Link wrote a poem in the previous year's June 4th commemoration
Why do we commemorate June 4th?
Why shouldn't the history of June 4th be forgotten?
This theme is very consistent with the relatives in the West China Sea
Why do we commemorate the history of the Great Leap Forward?
Why shouldn't the history of the Great Leap Forward be forgotten?
This is also a major consideration for them to build this memorial bay
So Perry Link was invited to be the guest speaker
Everyone is familiar with Perry Link
When he was in June 4th, he helped Fang Lijian
To enter the U.S. Embassy and pass through the CCP's claws
Then he went to the U.S.
Perry has been supporting the Chinese People's Movement
During the Chinese Civil War
So this time he was invited to give a theme speech
To highlight why we shouldn't forget the history of the Great Leap Forward
After the speech, there will be two seminars
The first seminar's theme is to fight for freedom with life
Originally, freedom is one of the natural human rights
That is, human life and freedom should be like this
But why do we have to risk our lives to gain this freedom?
This will be presented by a few people who fled Hong Kong at that time
To talk about the political, economic environment that forced them
To risk their lives to come to Hong Kong
At the same time, they will bring up a theme
Hong Kong should thank Hong Kong
Because Hong Kong provided them with a shelter
At the beginning of the Great Leap Forward
So that they can get a break in Hong Kong after fleeing the mainland
At the same time, we should also thank the U.S.
Because the U.S. system allows them to freely
Exert their intelligence and effort
To build their own careers
So the theme is to fight for freedom with life
And to be grateful to Hong Kong and the U.S.
Then, another seminar will be
Presented by some friends from Hong Kong
To talk about the changes in Hong Kong
Hong Kong was once a refuge for political dissidents in mainland China
The history of more than a hundred years is like this
From the beginning of the Pacific War to the New China Revolution
To the Communist Party's domestic war, the Communist Party's overthrow of the Kuomintang
The history of more than a hundred years
Hong Kong has been providing a political refuge
For those who have been politically persecuted in the mainland
But it's a pity that today's Hong Kong
Is forced to export our local political refugees to the world
This is a big change
It's a place that makes people sigh
So this theme will bring about
A change that has made people grieve in recent years in Hong Kong
After these two seminars, we will end
And invite everyone to go to a place called Yermo in California on December 10
That is, where Chen Weiming's自由雕塑公園 is located
To participate in the opening ceremony
Roughly, it will be arranged in the next two days
This friend from the West Bank
Has already organized a so-called Sea Refugee Association
The sea is the sea of the sea, and the reed is the reed of the reed
Why is it called the Sea Refugee Association?
It means that everyone knows that reed and reed are synonymous
After experiencing the sea, the spirit will be long-lasting
They will start this event from the Sea Refugee Association
Roughly, these two events will be like this
Can you repeat the meaning of the自由公園's opening ceremony?
In this era
Speaking of Chen Weiming's自由雕塑公園
I would like to talk about a past event
In 2009, it was the 20th anniversary of the倒塌 of the Paralympic Games
At that time, the German government held a grand memorial ceremony
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the倒塌 of the Paralympic Games
At that time, the Sea Refugee Association sent me to Germany for an interview
After the interview, I took a walk around the former Soviet Union
I wanted to see the political and economic situation of these countries
After the 20th anniversary of the倒塌 of the Paralympic Games
I visited every country
I saw that they had built a communist disaster museum
The names of each country are different
But the meaning is the same
To commemorate when this country was ruled by communism
What kind of humanitarian disasters had happened in their country?
At that time, after seeing it, I felt very shocked
I thought that China's suffering from communism
Was far more serious than those in Eastern Europe
You are talking about abnormal deaths
China's abnormal deaths since 1949
According to the most conservative estimates, there are 35 million people
Some people estimate it to be 80 million
Even if I use the most conservative estimate of 35 million
35 million is actually not enough, it is underestimated
How do I calculate it? According to Yang Jicheng's tombstone
According to her research in each county
She calculated that in the era of the Great Famine
35 million people starved to death, up to 36 million
This is not an empty estimate
She investigated many counties
And calculated the population changes in each county
It is estimated to be about 35 million to 36 million people
In addition, Minister of Public Security, Luo Shui-hsing
In his own report, he listed
In the early years of the founding of the country, from 1949 to 1950
Just because of the rebellion, and the three rebellions and five rebellions
Several movements, the number of people who died was 5 million
This is in the report of Minister of Public Security, Luo Shui-hsing
In other words, these two numbers alone
35 million people died in the famine
In addition, 5 million people died in the rebellion
That is, the lowest number is 40 million people
In addition to the Cultural Revolution and other kinds of political movements
It is estimated to reach 80 million people
This scale of humanitarian disaster
Can be said to be the most severe in the history of the world
The severity of the Chinese Communist disaster
Is much higher than the number of countries in the East Europe
But it's a pity that in our country
There has never been a museum of the disaster of communism
I remember in the early days of the reform and opening up
The author, Mr. Ba-kim, once suggested
To build a museum of the Cultural Revolution
To collect some examples of the Communist Party during the Cultural Revolution
Or some exhibits, but they were all crudely denied by the CCP
So at that time, I was thinking
When can we build a museum of the disaster of communism
On the land of China?
When can China be saved?
Of course, now everyone looks at it, this is unprecedented
Until the day of the collapse of the Communist Party
It is impossible to build a monument or a museum on the land of China
So when I saw Mr. Chen Weiming
Building a free sculpture park in California
I was very excited
Although at that time, this memorial park
Only had one item of 6-4
That is the scene of a man blocking a tank
But it was just the beginning
For so many years, many friends have been working hard
The sculpture park has gradually become a scale
In addition to the earliest tank man
At the same time, there is the tragic story of the Iron Curtain
There is the scene of the Wuhan epidemic
The work of President Xi Jinping personally
Caused the whole world to suffer
There is the Lianlong Square in Hong Kong
Until now, there is a memorial monument in Hong Kong
In a blink of an eye, this free sculpture park
Will accommodate all related
Under the disaster of Chinese communism
Various types of disaster exhibits
So I think this is very worthy of our support
Because it makes us not forget
How our country was once persecuted by communism
Also tell people
The disaster of our country
Has to be eliminated by the Communist Party
Only by eliminating the Communist Party can we get a chance to calm down
At that time, there is no need for anyone to ask me
Why do we, a family of three generations, have to run away from the Communist Party?
This kind of question
So I think this sculpture park
Before we can build a memorial monument on the mainland of China
It can be a reminder to us
Remind us from time to time
That the Communist Party is the source of disaster for the Chinese people
At that time, the police also dragged the pre-witnesses onto a truck
And sent them to a camp
They were given a meal
The next day, they were sent back to the mainland
Many Hong Kong people, in order to save them
Always send food, water, and food
To this place to protect these refugees
Even their relatives and friends
I saw some messages
Showing that many Hong Kong people
When this truck was about to send these people back
They lay down on the road
Blocking the cars from letting them go
At this time, a large number of people jumped into the truck
And went back to the Hong Kong city
Then they were not allowed to return to the mainland
In fact, these memorials are very touching
Hong Kong people have really sacrificed a lot in order to save the people of the mainland of China
When you ask this question
It reminds me of some of the situations I saw when I was young
I think when I was young, in 1962
I was too young then, so I don't have a deep impression
The situation in Tougang in the past
The situation in Tougang in 1962
I was already in middle school
I have an impression at that time
I like hiking very much
When I was in middle school, when I was hiking
I often went to some remote places in the New Territories
It's not remote now
But it was a remote place at that time
I saw it with my own eyes
In 1962-1963, in the northeast of Hong Kong
Now it's in the New Territories, near Satoh
A group of people came to Hong Kong
The situation was very uncomfortable
A large number of people wanted to leave Hong Kong
Here is a picture
Another picture is when I was young
At the Tsim Sha Tsui train station
At that time, the train station was still in Tsim Sha Tsui, not in Hongham
At the Tsim Sha Tsui train station, I saw a lot of Hong Kong people
In large and small bags, carrying things by hand
Carrying what? Carrying materials to China
Oil, rice, flour, etc.
Wearing clothes in summer and winter
Wearing woolen clothes inside
Wearing woolen clothes outside
Wearing a coat
Wearing like this in summer and winter
Why?
When the materials and clothes go back to mainland China
They are put down one by one
For relatives in Mainland China
A scene of the New Territories, in the northeast of Hong Kong
And a picture of the Tsim Sha Tsui train station
Everyone lined up in large and small bags
Carrying materials to get on the train
These two pictures left a deep impression on me
That is to say, Hongkongers have always been concerned about the development of Mainland China
Hongkongers have always been concerned about their relatives in Mainland China
The CCP has never promoted to the people of Mainland China
Or said that under the CCP's rule
When the Chinese people are in the most difficult time
Hongkongers are doing everything they can to send materials to Mainland China
To help Mainland China get through this difficult time
Of course, Mainland China is so big
Hong Kong is just a small place
It can't play a big role
But for the residents of Shuhuan in Zhugang and Shanguozhou
This is a big help
But now, including what you said just now
Many people are selfishly helping some mainlanders who have come to Hong Kong
Some mainlanders who have secretly come to Hong Kong
Or give them food and water to drink
To cover them up, to avoid being arrested by the police
To avoid being sent back
These situations were recorded on the newspaper at that time
Of course, I didn't witness it
But it was recorded in the newspaper
But what I witnessed was a group of gangsters
So many of them came to Hong Kong
And the police force sent them to Mainland China in a big bag
Although my family didn't go back to Mainland China alone
But at that time, every family in Hong Kong had a mailbag
That is, the daily necessities, clothes and food needed by mainlanders
Were sent back by mailbag
At that time, Hong Kong was not very rich
A lot of mailbags were bought by everyone
They were made by themselves
At that time, there was no place to buy a mailbag
So they made their own mailbags
My family also used this method
We kept sending clothes, food and food to our relatives and friends
At that time, almost every family in Hong Kong did the same
So, the Hong Kong people's feelings for the mainland
The longing for the country
Has always been very deep
Who knows, after the National Security Law was passed
They kept saying that we don't love the country
They kept saying that we are anti-China
This is a kind of despicable action
To destroy the history under the power
So, in this situation, I really appreciate these gangsters
In order to express their gratitude to Hong Kong
They are willing to pay a lot of effort to build this monument
This method is very worthy of everyone's respect
Speaking of the people who fled from Hong Kong in the past, they were called Chukyau
Now we can see the tax table in Hong Kong
At least it has decreased to HK$370,000
In fact, in the north, it may be HK$300,000
Or HK$800,000
Hong Kong people fled to other countries
You said that Chukyau's action can witness this history
Now that Chukyau has left Hong Kong and is all over the world
What do you think can be done to witness
The history of people fleeing from Hong Kong to other countries?
In the design of the monument
There was a former member of the Legislative Council
Who came out to speak out
He said that
The deterioration of the political environment in Hong Kong in recent years
How did it force a lot of Hong Kong friends to flee from Hong Kong?
So, in the second part of the seminar
The theme is from fleeing from Hong Kong to Hong Kong
Fleeing from Hong Kong refers to people in the mainland fleeing from Hong Kong
To find Hong Kong as a political blockade
Hong Kong is now being forced
Hong Kong people themselves are being forced to flee to other places in the world
This change is worth our consideration
Why did this happen?
In fact, from fleeing from Hong Kong to Hong Kong
Reminds me of a young mother
When she was in the occupation movement
She asked me a question
Why did our family of three have to flee from the Communist Party?
She said that her grandfather came to Hong Kong in 1949 because he fled from the Communist Party
Her father fled from the Communist Party in 1989
And took his family to leave Hong Kong
Of course, he came back later
But now it's his turn to take his children to flee from Hong Kong
She asked me, why did our family of three have to flee from the Communist Party?
I think this question is very worthwhile for each of us to think about
Why did the Communist Party have to keep fleeing from the Communist Party
Whether it was the Chinese or the Hong Kong people?
According to Mr Chen Binggang's statistics
From 1949 to now, there have been several Great Leapfrogs
In the past two years in Hong Kong
Nearly 300,000 people have fled from Hong Kong
What's wrong with our people?
Why do we Chinese have to keep fleeing from the Communist Party?
I think this is worth every Chinese person's consideration
Do we have to keep trying to evade the Communist Party in the future?
You see, now the movement to leave the line is so brutal
People who have left the line have experienced thousands of hardships
They have gone through the heat and rain in Central and South America
They have been forced to leave the line
They have even encountered all kinds of brutal treatment on the way
They have to leave China and come to the U.S.
That is, from 1949 to today
Chinese people have been fleeing from the Communist Party
So this question is very worthwhile for us to think about
Is there any way for us Chinese people
To avoid the days of fleeing from the Communist Party?
Of course, the only way is to dismantle the CCP
Then we can avoid the fate of fleeing
So I think
The reason why this commemorative monument is valuable
Is to commemorate why we Chinese have to keep fleeing from the Communist Party
That is, there are more than 1 million or 2 million people
Who have fled to Hong Kong from mainland China
On a kind of ideology, a kind of anti-communist force has been formed
Including when the June 4th incident happened, Hong Kong was led to save the June 4th students
Now there are about tens of thousands or 1 million people
Who have fled from Hong Kong to other countries
What do you think of this kind of anti-communist force?
The CCP often says that Hong Kong people are a threat to national security
In 1934, it was already reform and opening up in Mainland China
When Deng Xiaoping passed the resolution on the party's historical issues
He denied the Cultural Revolution
In this situation, in 1984
There was also a so-called purge of spiritual pollution
This purge of spiritual pollution
He said, why is there spiritual pollution in China?
Because Hong Kong is not yet liberated
Hong Kong's ideology has been affecting the mainland
So in order to purge spiritual pollution
We must close the Blue Wind Wall
This sentence was said in 1984
In other words, even under the guidance of reform and opening up
The CCP still sees Hong Kong as a place that threatens its regime's security
He said that there was a class struggle in the mainland
Because Hong Kong was not yet liberated
Of course, this kind of argument is very ridiculous
At that time, we thought it was ridiculous
But this kind of argument has continued to this day
It is also believed that this is a declaration movement, a anti-extradition movement
Hong Kong's ideology is threatening the security of the Chinese regime in the mainland
It needs to be suppressed
He has never looked at the problems in the mainland
As caused by the one-party dictatorship of the Chinese Communist Party
He often sees the problems in the mainland
As a threat to Hong Kong's ideology
So when your judgment is wrong
Not only can't you change the basic reasons for the frequent problems in the mainland
Instead, you will adopt a lot of wrong policies
To assassinate Hong Kong's original freedom
So I think, of course, he will take Hong Kong's
The protests in the past few years
To see Hong Kong people as
Since more than a million people have fled from the mainland to Hong Kong
So their ideology is basically anti-communist
He regards these problems as the anti-communist ideology of Hong Kong people
And does not examine his own policies
How to cause dissatisfaction among Hong Kong people
You suddenly put aside the promise of 50 years of non-change
Then the Sino-British Joint Declaration
Such a solemn international agreement
Is to unilaterally declare that it has passed
These policies are the source of dissatisfaction among Hong Kong people
It's not that Hong Kong people have anti-communist ideology after graduation
It's because your wrong policies force us Hong Kong people to resist
It's a pity that he has never seen his own problems
For example, suddenly in 1984
He proposed that Hong Kong is the source of the class struggle in China
Because we are not yet liberated
So he always wanted to liberate Hong Kong as soon as possible
Now he has actually liberated Hong Kong
After strengthening the National Security Law to Hong Kong
Everything is following the mainland now
At that time, in order to close the blue window, what should he do?
He ordered the people of the Pearl River Delta
To remove the so-called fishbone antenna
Everyone knows that in the 1980s
The fishbone antenna was the main channel for the people of the Pearl River Delta
To receive Hong Kong TV
He said that this polluted the mainland
So he ordered to remove the fishbone antenna
His idea was to close the blue window
Unexpectedly, there was a group of people in Guangdong
Who felt that this policy was very wrong
So they pretended to be a magazine
The Blue Wind Magazine is called the Blue Wind Window
The name of the Blue Wind Window magazine
Is based on the leftist Deng Likun
He proposed to close the Blue Wind Window
A group of people in Guangdong
Who had a strong sense of reform and opening up
They purposely created a magazine called the Blue Wind Window
To continue to promote reform and opening up
To promote the abolition of such a stifling ideology
So you can see from this
For the CCP
They have always been a source of threat to their regime in Hong Kong
So now you see how they use the National Security Law to destroy Hong Kong
It is precisely their profound fear of Hong Kong
It is a result of some very wrong judgments against Hong Kong
