What's up?
This is Mark from Hinder.
I play guitar and I'm going to show you a little bit of my gear.
So come and check this out.
This, I love this guitar.
This is SG.
It was a guitar of the month way back.
I can't remember what year exactly.
Anyway, like 08 I think.
Anyway, it's just a beautiful guitar.
I love the color silver as you'll find out going through my gear.
Yeah, I think Jenny from Gibson actually sent this out to me.
She said it was the last one left.
They made 500 of these and she said this was the last one and I got it.
I don't know if that's true or not, but I'm going to go with that story, but it's just
a beautiful guitar.
Actually, I haven't even played it.
It's just my backup out on this run, but if my other main one goes down, I'll be pulling
this baby out.
This bad boy was actually a gift from my wife on our fifth wedding anniversary.
Again, like I love silver, so I fell in love with this guitar.
I just found it on eBay and I jokingly said, you need to get me this guitar and she did.
So it's pretty awesome.
I've got EMG pickups.
I use Ernie Ball strings.
I'll show you that here in a second.
Depends on what I'm playing, depending on what setting I'm in.
Honestly, from day to day, I might feel like, well, that sounds better on that, so I'll
pull it up, but for the most part, I got that switched down.
Yeah, that's my baby.
I've got them all cranked up all the way, tone and volume both, just ready to go, full
throttle.
This one's tuned a full step down, so depending on the song, it's in drop C or D standard
tuning, but that's the only string I'm tuning throughout the show, but we've kind of simplified
things over the years.
I used to have six, seven, eight guitars with us on the road, but that costs more money
to ship all that stuff around, so we've kind of simplified and I just have the one guitar
with the backup now.
So this is my custom pick.
We get them from Entune.
I think this is a .5, so got a little give to it.
And my strings, I'm rocking some Ernie Balls, 12 through 54s, been using these for years,
love them.
Just kind of fill it out, you know, but for the most part, three to four shows and switch
them out.
And for our wireless, we've got this Audio-Technica rack here, we've had the same stuff for years,
it's been good to us, so we haven't switched it up for years now.
This is my Marshall.
Sorry.
Just take it.
So, the thing you'll probably like the most about this is the set list.
Mike, our bass player, really enjoys drawing cocks apparently, so that's what that's about.
So let's go ahead and get that out of the way.
I love it, whenever we're playing in smaller places and the fans can stand up there, like,
looking at the set list, and they're like, oh my gosh.
So anyway, we think it's funny.
We think we're really funny.
These are new to us.
We've got...
Ooh, that was fun.
This is a Headrush pedal, so we've used Eleven racks for years, like literally ten years.
So this is made by Eleven.
It just made sense for us to move on and use these.
It's pretty awesome, like, everything I need is right here.
So mute there, let's see, and go through, disconnect with my volume pedal, I can turn
it on and off right there, simple as that.
But I go through heavy, crunch, clean, wah, those are my main settings.
Well, I'm running basically at 800 right there, and then I go through this Eleven Reverb.
Super simple.
But you can just kind of come in through here and play with stuff.
Let's see, yeah, treble, mid, bass, all this stuff, I can mess with it here, save it.
Super intuitive.
But I just have that, and then for my crunch, I'm gonna cancel.
It's the same amp.
Basically, we just brought the presence down and stuff, and then clean.
I'm using all the same amp, and just bringing the volume and the presence, all the mids
down, getting rid of that.
And then the wah is just the same as my heavy channel, but it has a wah on it.
So you see there, the wah is the shine wah, and for my main, I have the volume pedal so
I can roll that off.
So it's as simple as that.
I keep the master right at about, you know, 12 o'clock right there.
It's just, this thing's really badass.
We can fly with it, everything's completely simplified, I don't have to fly with a bunch
of racks or amps or anything like that.
So this thing's been really good to us so far, it's been pretty awesome.
Yeah, we got these Sennheisers EW300IEMs, and then I've had these same molds for years,
they've been all over the world with me, JH Audio is what these are.
So that's pretty much it.
