Good evening, everyone.
Today, I would like to remind everyone
about the economic problems in Hong Kong and China.
Everyone knows that China is in a bad situation.
But in what situation?
We ordinary people don't think about it.
Hong Kong people, especially in Hong Kong,
have money in the bank, and the house is worth a lot of money.
So we don't think about it.
But in mainland China,
no matter how bad it is, it is still hidden.
Two days ago, I watched a short video
about what the people inside said.
They said that some people went back to Shanghai from Hangzhou
on the highway, sometimes on the side of the road,
and saw a lot of fields, but no one harvested them.
And some shops in Shanghai, no, some shops in the countryside,
the cabbages and radishes were sold for 1,000 RMB per catty.
This is a big deal.
What does it mean?
When the vegetables come out,
some people buy them,
but may not be able to buy them right away,
or go to the freezer,
and then go to the supermarket or the street market to buy them.
Now it seems that the chain has a problem.
Because of the problem of money,
the whole supply chain has a problem.
Of course, people in mainland China eat vegetables,
but they don't buy more.
If you buy more vegetables, it will be bad.
So just enough, people don't buy.
The whole so-called consumption habit is changing.
Sometimes you buy a little more,
buy a little more, put it in the fridge.
If it's so cheap and no one buys it,
that is, people don't say,
now everyone has a fridge at home.
No one thinks about this.
I have to buy more when it's cheap.
Money is more important than vegetables.
Money is important.
So everyone should understand this.
This can cause the entire economy to stop.
The so-called Great Depression in the United States was like this.
Yes.
This is a vicious cycle.
What's the worst?
It sees that you don't buy.
You don't buy a single seed.
So I don't plant.
It costs money to plant.
It needs seeds, fertilizers, fertilizers,
and it needs to kill insects.
Everything costs money.
So it doesn't plant.
If it doesn't plant,
then its income will be reduced.
For example, the farmer can plant enough for himself to eat.
Or he can plant enough to exchange things with others.
Because he can't sell it.
No one has the money to buy it.
Then step by step,
it goes to the market.
Then there can still be some so-called middlemen
staying here,
which can be used as storage.
No.
To be honest,
vegetables can be stored in a large freezer.
It can't be stored for a long time.
The frozen vegetables you buy in supermarkets are not fresh.
So what's the problem?
Remember,
if you pay for it, you pay for it.
If you don't plant,
the fertilizers will be less profitable.
The seeds,
the vegetables,
will be less profitable.
The transportation will be less profitable.
Let's look at a very simple thing.
If you keep looking at it,
you will find that there is a problem.
The economy is getting slower.
Don't listen to those 5%.
The economy is getting slower.
The economic cycle is getting slower.
In addition,
one line affects another line.
Every line is connected.
One line is connected to another line.
In this situation,
the most important thing is that we understand
what the problem is.
Unemployment.
As you heard,
in the past few months,
20% of college graduates said they couldn't find a job.
Later,
at least 40% of Tsinghua University graduates said they couldn't find a job.
If you look at the university students' employment rate across China,
you can almost understand.
That is,
those who can work,
let's say 10 billion,
we don't want to talk about it.
Out of the 10 billion people who can work,
half of them have nothing to do.
If they have nothing to do,
they don't count.
If they are not in the city,
they don't count.
They go back to their hometowns.
They live with their families in their hometowns.
Many of their money is gone.
The money has been collected to build something.
Moreover,
those who go back to their hometowns from the city or factories
don't know how to do farming anymore.
In the past 20 years,
the young people have been working outside for 20 years.
It's good.
No problem.
But now they have to go back to their hometowns.
The old people in their hometowns may still have a little farming.
But the young people have become unfamiliar with farming.
Just like our Hong Kong kids in the past.
Hong Kong kids used to be all Deng family.
They are immigrants.
But later,
the Hong Kong government built some houses for them.
Hong Kong kids have a lot of houses and factories.
Then they went ashore.
After they went ashore,
for a period of time,
at first, they couldn't work.
We hired workers.
The workers over there are not so good.
They are not used to sitting here and working.
They don't stop.
It's okay for them to sit on the boat.
But if you ask them to sit here,
they can't do it.
But after a generation or two,
they can do it all.
People will adapt.
So the problem is
once people adapt,
the whole China can't be turned around.
I have seen
the downturn in 1930 or 1929.
How did the downturn happen?
It's the stock market.
Everyone thought it was very interesting.
The stock market would never fall like this.
Then everyone would lose money.
