Golfresort Castello di Spessa im Friaul

We are here in Castello di Spessa, this medieval castle. Our golf club is partially connected with our beautiful park dedicated to Giacomo Casanova, who stayed here in 1773. The Golf & Country Club Castello di Spessa is a 18-hole course, a par 71 with a length of 5,460 meters. It was born here in the Goriziano Hill, immersed between the vineyards and the plain. The logistical position of this field allows us to keep it open all year round. Thanks to our slightly more humid winters, this helps to have flooding beyond the borders, especially in the winter periods when they are closed. Our course is made up of 18 holes, the first nine are positioned in a more mountainous type of construction. These nine holes are a little more technical and difficult. The rest of the nine holes have a slightly flatter shape, which allows you to turn these holes in a relatively faster time. There are some very particular holes. I think we are the only ones to have a par 3 like on hole 5, to have to cross the vineyard. Hole 6 has a beautiful view of the castle. Hole 11, which is made up of a par 4, with a beautiful and very long front lake, which makes the second hole, the approach to the ridge, extremely difficult but at the same time very pleasant. This castle is of medieval origin. In its cellars, these cellars of aging of our red wines, where among other things, from the vineyards of property, we also produce excellent white wines. In addition to producing them, we sell them here in our shop, as well as in our restaurants, adjacent to the castle, for our restaurant, the gourmet restaurant of reference, as well as the osteria of the castle, a slightly more informal restaurant, and at our bistro, the taste of Casanova, opened in the castle recently, and which offers all the typical dishes of the territory.
