On our final couple of days on Mull, we took things a little slower and really took in the beauty of the island at Lochbuie.
Our time in the isle of Mull was coming to an end.
It had involved some incredible scenery, wild beaches and some cheeky little puffins.
For our last evening and day on the island we headed back to where we had began our trip
at Loch Buie for a slower paced day just taking in the beauty, peace and tranquility of Mull.
Maybe two or one? Two.
I'll have two because we've just got half two.
Go my dinner.
Something I love about travelling in the van is actually the invitation it brings to slow
down a little. Of course we love to see and do things while travelling but equally I love those
evenings just cooking together, watching the sky change colour and falling asleep to a gentle sea
Is that good? This looks really good.
Oh my god. It's spoiling us.
This is Athena's new healthy regime. If the baby doesn't want cocoa puffs
the baby will get Nutella. The baby already had cocoa puffs. Of course it did.
I am good at making pancakes.
Look at it.
Javi's practicing dad duties by engineering this pretty amazing shelter for Oslo and for me.
Um this is a dog lead with a rock on top of it. Bag, rock on top of it. A stick.
Yeah. Stick wedged in. Bag.
Is that a pack mat? I don't know. Stick. That's a heavy wind. Dog.
Counted weight. Very happy little dog.
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Jackery for sponsoring this video
and for making this trip and the last three videos possible. Jackery make portable power stations for
the outdoors with solar generated power that you can take with you on any car or van camping
adventure. We have the Jackery 500 and 100 watt solar panel which we've been using for our past
few van trips and it's been a real game changer for us to be able to keep up with work, emails
and editing on the road. We've used it to charge our camera batteries, phones and laptops and have
been able to harness the free and natural power of the sun to do so. In our next video we head to
Cornwall and we actually left the solar panel by the van while we went to the beach for just a few
hours and came back to an 80% battery which I thought was really incredible. The Jackery has
one AC outlet, three USB ports and a 12 volt car output so you can also charge it while you're
driving. When fully charged the Jackery 500 holds enough power to charge an iPhone 53 times and a
standard camera battery 25 times. We are really big fans and hope this means we can actually do
more little van adventures and for longer periods as long as we can keep up with work on the road.
Jackery have given me a little discount code for you guys which is athena5off so I'll put their
link down below and a link to the generator we have as well. Do let me know if you have any
questions about it as we'd be happy to answer so you guys know that you're getting something that
you'll find really useful and practical as well. So it's our last day on Mull today and last night
we parked up back at the spot we parked on our first night at Loch Bowie. Came back here because
it was super nice it's also fairly near to the ferry port at Craignor and yeah it's just absolutely
stunning here it's probably my favourite place we've been to on Mull and we just found it so
randomly actually someone messaged me when we got to the island saying oh there's this great park up
at the end of Loch Bowie you should go check it out and when we got off the ferry we were like okay
yeah we'll just go down there and I really liked it on that first night so yeah ended up back here
again and we've just walked around past Moray Castle over to Laggan Sands which is this like
wide stretch of beach it's kind of like a light sand and hills and honestly it's amazing there's
nobody here it's like a big expanse and there's no one there was a couple when we got here but
they've kind of walked around there uh yeah it's incredible I feel like I'm in New Zealand or
somewhere I remember traveling on the west coast of New Zealand and it's very wild and there's lots
of like stretches of beach surrounded by hills and just nature and it's it really is quite like
that it's stunning yeah very very happy to be here um got a few few more hours here today
and then we are going to get some lunch at the little tea room post office
and then head over to Craig Nord to get our ferry back to the mainland and back home this evening
did you have a good snorkel yeah that's fun actually yeah did it does it all fit and stuff
yeah yeah yeah the mask is a little bit tight but I just need adjusting yeah uh I saw like a crab
burrowing itself into the sand backwards nice and then I saw a whole shawl of like sprats maybe
I'm not so sure they're kind of like that's so big yeah and then uh a white bait could
have been white bait uh and then like this really like metallic pink and grey crab which must have
been like so big nice um and then some very cool looking jellyfish which I didn't want to get too
close to uh was it clear then yeah yeah really clear yeah I wish I'd had something to I've got
in the van but I know I just like I just forgot yeah jumped out of the other van really quick
um but yeah that was awesome I didn't want to stay in too long because obviously I haven't got
I haven't got any sun cream or I'm just in shorts but the uh the water temperature is totally
totally doable actually yeah having a hood my head started to get quite cold
yeah very quickly the hood
hot smoked salmon side salad
oh
