Embarking on the journey of a lifetime: Our 9-month Royal Caribbean cruise!

Hello everyone! We are on the brink of an amazing nine-month journey around the globe on Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas. Yep, you heard that right. 274 nights of oceanic bliss. We will see all seven continents, 60-plus countries, and 11 wonders of the world. We are going to travel approximately 65,000 nautical miles. We planned this adventure two years ago and started packing our clothes just a few days before we left for Miami. To get ready for the world cruise, we did have to get some vaccinations. We had to make sure we had our Tdap, Hepatitis A and B. We got a polio booster, Japanese encephalitis, the Shinrix, the flu shot, and yellow fever and typhoid fever. Utilizing vacuum-sealed bags for optimal luggage space utilization. Royal Caribbean suggested that we pack only six suitcases. We made sure to pack toiletries, prescriptions, and vitamins to last us a full nine months. And of course we had to pack Alphanant's wardrobe. We did three large suitcases and three small suitcases so we could nest them underneath the bed. After packing, we loaded the suitcases for our journey to the airport the next day. We are off to Miami with a 3 a.m. alarm and a very early flight in first class that was included in the price of this ultimate adventure. There was a Royal Caribbean representative to meet us at luggage plane to take all of our luggage straight to the ship. We were then shuttled to the Intercontinental Miami Hotel. We checked in our room, which was on the 27th floor, and we received two world cruise backpacks. Inside the backpacks, it included a lanyard, a bracelet, a sewing kit, and a first aid kit. The view out our window is just spectacular. Once we were settled, we took a stroll and then we enjoyed lunch at Five Guys. I needed a workout t-shirt so we made a quick stop to grab one. Here is our itinerary for the next three days. So what all is included in the Ultimate World Cruise? It includes all the food you want to eat, all the alcohol you want to drink, laundry three times a week, or self-serve laundry, and internet for one person each. We will also have theme nights, headliner shows, Broadway shows, a folkloric series. It also includes excursions to seven wonders of the world. Each segment of this trip will be a story in itself, filled with culture, cuisine, and pure wonder. We will be embarking on a walk around the world challenge as well. We are here at the start of our incredible world cruise adventure, ready to celebrate at the Royal Caribbean Gala. The atmosphere is buzzing with excitement. We got delicious food, live entertainment, and a sea of elegant dressed guests. We are so excited for this journey. This gala is the perfect kickoff. Here's to an unforgettable journey.
