Arsenal vs Crewe Alexandra | Ethan Nwaneri Scores 5 Goals | Highlights | U18 FA Youth Cup 09-12-2023

Jack Wilshire's young gunners take on Crew Alexandra in the FA Youth Cup third round, a competition they enjoyed last season, reaching the final but losing out to West Ham. Wilshire hoping his side can go one step further this season. Calls playing the ball back to Noah Cooper, he was given the nod to take a position between the sticks this evening for the third round tie. Oh and that's gone straight to Nolan, a gift that he has accepted Arsenal playing out from the back and Nolan anticipating, intercepting and scoring. Two to his left, it's his shot that's nestled into the corner with the help of a deflection but Arsenal with inside the first few minutes of the second half have got themselves an equaliser. Rodiak's corner swung in towards the goal cleared away, this is Nolan, couldn't complete the clearance when here he's shot deflected, it's another corner, Arsenal piling the pressure on Crew now. Rodiak again, this time a drifted delivery, Brian Tedder, Brian's goal, Arsenal in front. It was a delivery that was so inviting, just asking to be attacked and it was Brian that got there to keep it but despite his best efforts couldn't keep it out. Arsenal with so many red and white shirts inside the Crew half, they found it difficult to get out of their own half. In this second period, this is Waneri, great control, thunder has finished. Arsenal have a third, Waneri has a second. Brilliant skill from the 16-year-old into space, there was no stopping that. Arsenal players biting into the challenges, this will drop to Waneri into space and the pass into the feet of Osman Kamara. Key figure in last season's FA Youth Cup run, this is Ferdinand and arriving is Waneri, oh it's another brilliant finish from the 16-year-old to complete his hat-trick. Ferdinand just slowing things down, Waneri making the run, Ferdinand spotted him, ghosting into space, that's a cute finish. Nicholls, Rodiak, lovely spin and he's away as he fizzies it across the goal, it's Ryan, it's Waneri, it's another for Arsenal. Their fifth, Waneri's fourth and the form he is in tonight was never going to pass up that opportunity, brilliant quick thinking from Kamani Ryan. Waneri, he's packed so much into this very short career, this 16-year-old, but this night will certainly be up there with one of his highlights. Here's Lewis Skellig, rides the challenge, oh they're lining up in the middle, it's Waneri and he's on the score sheet again, number five for the night. Arsenal now have a sixth with 15 minutes remaining, there is no stopping Ethan Waneri. Ball out to Kabia, hugging that far touchline and then look at the pace that's taken him away from the crew defence, a ball in, it's not cleared, it's Ryan, it's blocked and crew still can't clear it, here's Omari Benjamin and he gets Arsenal's seventh. Another super finish, just bending the ball into the bottom corner, he's on the score sheet and Arsenal ease themselves through to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.
