Martin Odegaard's Left Foot is Magical (2023)

The Arsenal goals again, I mean they look simple Perry but they're anything but simple it's just the way they're executed. Arsenal are back. About where he was going to put it powerful low into that corner not a problem. Arsenal getting on the front foot pressing high up the pitch it's what we come accustomed to. Again doing well Udagard has opened up for him good strike good height for the goalkeeper. Yes very very good what you said Max down and you realize you're not going to see the ball very much. Udagard good ball a lovely touch there by Trossard very nearly a third goal Sarr makes a good block wonderful technique from Trossard. Yeah one touch passing but Arsenal equal to it Saliba's quietly having a really really good game. Udagard dances away from Kovacic terrific control and it's Hansen. Udagard screaming for it here is the Arsenal captain. Playing in the Champions League like they've never been away. Arsenal trying to respond straight away to Martinelli. Udagard oh yes Arsenal and it's anything United and Rashford can do. Arsenal can do as well straight back into it straight down the other end. Arsenal one Man United one. Now Udagard can Arsenal put this game to bed great ball and Ketia hits the post somehow it stays out and now Wolves will try and break the tails up. It's Arsenal who can stream away here with Martin Udagard. Sackers gone left here is the Udagard. Udagard stepping up to the spot and finding the bottom corner as well never in doubt the coolest man inside the vitality sends the goalkeeper the wrong way Neto with no chance. Nothing wrong with him but he doesn't get the decision. Havertz now can Arsenal go up a gear Havertz again nice football. It's up in the gods here but looks like Udagard to me took the ball which is toe puck to ball away which he does and then Peter Banks obviously. This sacker right hand side Havertz through the centre Udagard still has possession. He's behind it that's the ball taken away from him by Rice and Udagard trying something a bit different for Ketia. Well it may sit for a second a bit too quick to close down but they've not picked up Trossard. The Belgian Leandro Trossard with his first Premier League goal. It's now the Arsenal skipper finding Pekka Osaka brilliantly and they have to be alert to the danger there. Looking to provide Gunners fourth. In it comes it's a good ball and it's been headed home by Ben White who just loves scoring against Bournemouth. But he's very happy with some of the decisions that have been made on the pitch. It's a pretty wise back in though. Nice footballs in Trenco Jesus combining. Udagard! Wonderful goal! Wonderful goal from Arsenal and it's 2-0. What a fantastic team goal. I said about the wide players going on the outside exactly what Pekka Osaka did there. Udagard looking for that deep delivery in towards Jesus off the post and sackers there goes. First touch there to the pass from Udagard back in towards the Norwegian. For a moment there it looked as though Jesus may pounce but beneath Udagard back to Saka again. I shouldn't say it but this is there as well. Udagard just stunned. Havertz was there. Udagard now Trossard he could be in. Could this be three? Trossard good save and Saka good save again by Bentley. Havertz no foul given and Waldridge. That's better Martin Udagard. Good goal. Took it very nicely Martin Udagard. Okay it's a consolation but he's looked lively since he's come on. He took it very well indeed. Yeah it was a good move. I think it's the first time they've had a little bit of quick passing. Udagard. Martinelli in a central position. Udagard. Trossard open on the left hand side but Udagard's picked out Jesus and he was only denied a shot on goal by the long legs on tip top form. It's still time for a winner here. Good ball by Udagard. Jesus. Udagard. Oh shot blocked in the end. Udagard of course with Germany. Widely reported that he started that left back that was able to get on the score sheet and Saka into Udagard. Again this is good football. Jesus. Deal with it. Belgarde tries to come out. And it's a sub two has finished from the skipper. He drills it into the bottom corner. Saka finding Udagard. It's a good delivery as well. Havertz. Doing well to keep possession. Nicely done. Ben White. Good Arsenal captain there. Trusty left boots. Clip one in. Martinelli's underneath it. Poor pass. Straight to Udagard. And now Arsenal have a chance here with Jesus. He could be in for a third or... Oh, it's a lovely flick. Trossard. Had he stayed onside. Pirou likes to use him as the dummy run. Trossard. Tomiasu. Nice play in the Chevrolet United game. It took us a good half an hour, didn't it, to break Chevrolet United down. Obviously, it's been a lot easier for us today. Oh, Genghis. Straight at Alonso again and getting the better of him as well. It's a good ball into the box and it's turned home by Kai Havertz. Referee's given nothing. Arsenal have a shot. Blocks again from Udagard. Well, we... A springboard set here maybe. A tenacious midfield play from Havertz and Udagard. Over the top to Martinelli. Tomiasu back to Udagard. Real Jesus and it's been won back by Zinchenko. Now Martin Udagard has given Eddie Echetea something to chase. Udagard. Visions to pick out Havertz. Jesus on the floor. Free kick taken quickly. Udagard. Echetea. Udagard. Jesus back to goal. He's got Havertz there as well. In through two free players. Such a small space. Not make it there. Tweaked it a little bit at the moment because, obviously, Gary Newell's hoping that... 24 goals now in the competition as Arsenal come forward again looking for a sick. Udagard. Classy penalty into the corner. Sends the... With a shimmy and a shuffle and the bottom corner fouled. Hasn't been able to make it click but here's Udagard. He's released Jesus on that far side. Udagard still in the middle. Jesus will go alone and the ball is deflected out and behind for a Udagard up against Stefan Ortega. The Norwegian finds the corner and Arsenal strike first. Yeah great pen strike back. They've lost each of their last two home games. Udagard. Here's Udagard. Nice turn away. Back to Martin Udagard who shoots. Oh it's off target. Jesus nice skill again. Really good hold up play. Udagard spreads it out wide. Udagard. That's it. Udagard. Nice feet. He's got Tomi Asi with him. He waits. Plays it into Jesus. It's a bit too interesting. Chested down by Havertz. That was nice. Here's Udagard. Lovely backheel. Havertz slightly underselling Udagard there who's fighting tooth and nail. Comes inside. Composed. Settles it. Keeps possession. White. Udagard controls. Delightfully done by the Norwegian and now sack a wonderful football from Arsenal. Here's Udagard. Arsenal again and Ketia challenge coming in. He can't deal with it. Here's Udagard. Good vision. They'll definitely get that with him because he loves to have the ball at his feet and get involved. Nice turn from Udagard. Super shot from the Arsenal skipper. Good save from Johnston. Yes fantastic power from there. I think that goes in the far left corner. Maybe he's got more chance to execute it as well as he normally does. Then darting in field past Dest. Udagard. White on the overlap. It's a great ball in. Udagard again. Udagard. Really nice close control by the Norwegian and he's by one. I'm not sure Havertz wanted it there but he's done really well without the German. And Arsenal have numbers over on that side. PSV. The remainder of the Premier League season. Does that change? Here comes Zivani. Only a spot. It's Udagard who's brought to ground and that will be a second Arsenal penalty. Early. He just goes down and take take Udagard down. He might touch the ball after but. Yeah I was at the uh Luton Wolves game early on in the season. He was absolutely outstanding. Edouard. 2-4-a looking for Essay. To sell their their best two players. And Ketty a nice touch. Cross hard. Good play. Either way it wasn't great from United. Justice might have been done because Arsenal got it straight back. The atmosphere inside the stadium I don't think you can ever replicate in training. It's not a bad. Because the pace of the ball I can't emphasize enough. It's his goal which gave the Gunners the lead before Martin Udagard slotted home from the penalty spot.
