안녕 친구!
Today, we are munching along the Han River near the Banpo Bridge.
It's a warm summer evening and we're checking out our fourth Bamdokkaebi market.
While these weekend pop-up markets all have street food, live music, and booths selling
handmade goods, each one has its own vibe.
All right, what's there to eat tonight?
Tacos, nachos, and churro.
At Korkain, you can get lasagna, lasagna, paired up with garlic bread, grilled Cuban
sandwich truck.
Called Hanspoon, this truck sells lemon cream shrimp.
What's going on over there?
So many lights!
Looks like a DJ booth, but in fact, he's tuning up your meals.
And yes, they were playing music like this.
I think I have to eat here!
And so, we ordered jerk beef.
Jerk is a cooking style from Jamaica.
Whoa, but now it's like medium spicy.
It's got snow pepper on that.
You definitely taste the sesame seeds.
They sprinkle a generous amount of sesame seeds on that.
It's a little crunchy.
Ooh, you could use it like a ssam.
Yeah, that's the way to do it.
Very sweet.
It's a little bit like candy.
Meaty candy.
Yeah, the radish is very sweet, so I prefer to have the beef without the wrap.
No matter how much we eat, it's still there.
So much left.
We've been working on it.
Yeah, we've been working on it.
Some parts of the meat remind me of a very oily, cheesy pizza.
Alright, what to eat next?
We have another party here.
Yo, I'm digging this kid's dance.
Wowza, there's something called rose dumplings.
Beef and shrimp skewers.
Dessert and more dessert.
A Lao food truck.
Lao-style fried rice, chicken skewers, banana roti, coffee and tea at your service.
And another churro truck.
Okay, but in Spanish, it's more like churro, I think.
The quote on the side says,
넌 먹을 때 제일 예뻐.
Which means, you're the prettiest while eating.
How many of us love standing in line?
But the lighting here makes waiting fun.
Christmas feels.
Mom, that's us when we eat spicy food.
I notice there's a lot of K-pop playing on the screens.
Called Chicago Moons, this vendor sells black pepper steak.
Finally, a truck selling traditional Korean food.
Kimchi jeon and bulgogi pajeon.
Wow, they put a flag on it.
Kimchi jeon looks so sexy.
Usually the kimchi jeon is round,
but here it's like all grooved up.
It's dancing to that music.
It's good.
The crunchiness comes from the kimchi.
The whole pancake itself, the whole jeon.
Not too crunchy.
Some kimchi jeon is very thick and very crispy.
This one is not too thick.
It's about medium thickness.
I found a big piece of kimchi.
Would you like to try this?
It's for you.
Cheesy kimchi.
There's no cheese in it.
It looks cheesy because of the long cabbages.
How do you think it compares to
your average homemade kimchi jeon?
It's the same.
It tastes authentic.
I feel like I'm burning more calories than eating.
Because I'm holding up the camera.
Don't ask me
what kind of food I like
most today.
This will be the one.
Okay, that's the best.
We are going to eat more kinds, right?
But this will be the one.
You're very sure?
That's love right there.
That's like when you fall in love with someone
and you're like, you're the one.
I don't care who else my eyes get attracted to.
You're the one.
Mommy has eyes for nobody else tonight.
Just Mr. Kimchi Jeon.
Okay, I gotta give my arms a break.
Fries day and night.
They sell kimchi bulgogi fries,
chili cheese fries, and aioli fries.
At Doonong Food Truck,
two men sell cereal shrimp.
Sounds crunchy. Sign me up.
Smells like coconut.
You know what? I have a really good feeling
it's going to be crispy.
And I did not know there was going to be coconut on it.
Let's try the first shrimp without the sauce
while it's hot.
It's a jolly laugh.
It's hot. It's crunch-tastic.
It's a crunch
that doesn't give an F.
Now this time, let's try it with the sauce.
It is snowing cereal on me.
See? Oops. It's all over me.
Some went into my open bag.
I'll take it back home to America.
The sauce creates some sort of coating on your tongue.
There's a thickness to it.
Kind of like what mayo does.
I didn't realize there were two layers.
The whole bottom layer is potato wedges.
Now that one, I don't mind dipping with the sauce.
How many minutes go by?
The integrity of the crunch remains.
This is the best.
The kimchi jeon had more flavor though.
I would say that had more personality.
Wait a second. Do you see what I see?
An ice cream cone plunged into pasta.
Nonsense. I like it.
Chicken feet on skewers.
A Turkish food truck selling kebab.
Since we ate something savory,
now for some handmade ice cream.
This long line is no joke.
Let's contribute.
In about 5 minutes, we made one foot progress.
They ran out of blue lemon and grapefruit.
So let's go with plan B.
Green grape, mango, and yogurt blueberry.
Turns out they ran out of green grape as well.
So we resort to chocolate.
Time to bring out my cell phone light again.
Refreshing!
It's not too sweet.
So that's what makes it even more refreshing.
Yogurt blueberry.
It's very pleasant. Pleasantly sweet.
Now the chocolate.
I'm glad that's on the bottom.
That is the thickest one of all.
Also not too sweet though.
I would change mine.
This is the best.
Because it's hot today.
Oh, it's so refreshing.
If it was a cold winter day,
the kimchi jeon would be my favorite.
But because it is hot,
then I have to say this handmade ice cream
is the best for tonight.
Two thumbs up.
Three thumbs up.
Sometimes your favorite food is very situational.
All food could be good.
Depending on the weather,
your mood,
whether you're PMSing.
If you're PMSing, this is not going to do it for you.
You're going to need a higher dosage of sugar.
Originally, we were going to try five different dishes.
But after the ice cream,
we're so full and we've been eating a lot
during this trip and filming.
So I think today we're going to be a little bit nicer
to our bodies and our stomach.
So we don't have to go to bed so full.
Every night, we go to bed so late because we're so full.
We're going to walk across the Banpo Bridge
and squeeze in some exercise.
Hope you guys had fun munching around with us.

listen to ASMR Bedtime with Miss Mina.
We read, crunch,
crinkle, and more.
Humans are excited for food
as bugs are excited for the lights.
The sign says,
which means,
leave after eating the rice cakes.
J Fresh Food Truck, we meet again.
We saw this at another Bamdokkaebi market.
We got our food.
We're scouting for a place with enough light.
We could not secure a well-lit place to eat.
There's not a lot of light here
so we're just going to use my cell phone light.
I'm going to be vlogging with two hands.
One for lighting
and one for actually holding the camera.
I don't know how I'm going to hold the light.
Like this?
Let's smell it first.
You try first.
Oh my god.
Both my arms are getting tired.
I'm not just eating, I'm working out.
My biceps, my triceps, my arms.
I know tomorrow I'm going to wake up sore.
Oh my arm.
I need a break.
Mamiyo, you got a friend.
What friend?
Right here.
How can you do that to your friend?
You leave him on the ground like that.
Once again, it's a bit shady.
So let's bring out the camera light.
Alright, what's going on here?
Mom, what did you say it says on there?
That's the name of the truck.
My arm is dying right now.
And look, the chicken logos are made of meat.
A Korean fusion food truck.
Aloha Pizza Truck.
The logo has a palm tree
growing off a pizza slice. Cute.
Okay, we're going to finish the ice cream
or the music is.
Alright, I'm going to turn this light off
because we don't want to disturb other viewers.
Oppa truck.
Hey, didn't we see this somewhere else?
We got off at
Jamwon Exit 1.
What a pleasant surprise. So much greenery.
Listen to that.
It's so crazy.
How many of the books are here?
I feel like we could be friends.
I totally relate to you.
We've yet to walk a bit
to reach the market
but we can already smell
some barbecue, some cheesy
something something
and music in the distance.
I think that's the opening.
The face is here again.
Hey, these look like brackets.
So these lanes are for bikes and pedestrians
so you've got to watch out.
Ah, oh!
In the distance, the Banpo Bridge Show
is going on.
There's also a cruise ship passing by.
We also have bikers.
Some sort of park.
You poor thing is so hot and you're wearing a dress.
Why do street lights make everything
look romantic?
There's a store.
Oh, there's a lot of spiders.
But there's another store over there.
We finally made it to the station.
Stairs, stairs, stairs.
We're the only ones here.
Above Mameo
is a big spider.
This is an old school station.
We are at Oksusu Station
and this station always makes me think of corn
because Oksusu is corn
and this place is called Oksusu.
The market we went to today was the most
festive Pamdokkibi market.
We've yet to check out the pop-up market
at Oil Tank Culture Park,
which you shall see in a future video.
So stay tuned!
