Everton make the trip to Lancashire in search of a fourth-straight win in the Premier League.
A feat they haven't achieved for over three years.
But Turf Moor hasn't been the most welcoming places in recent times.
The Tuffeys haven't won in any of their last three visits,
losing five of their previous eight trips to Burnley.
But they have overcome today's opponents as recently as last month in a 3-0 EFL Cup win.
And form is very much on the side of the Blues.
Everton have been forced into four changes from the side that beat Chelsea last time out.
Gay and Brantwaite are both suspended, while Young and Mikalenko are both out injured.
So it sees Nathan Pattinson come in from the start, replacing Young.
Michael Keane is a welcome returnee, in place of Brantwaite.
And Nanna replaces Gay, while Ben Godfrey makes his first start of the season at left-back,
in place of Mikalenko.
And of course it's a special day for Sean Dyche, making a return to Turf Moor,
where he spent over a decade in charge of the club.
He's even got a pub named in his honour a little down the way in the town centre.
Rodriguez gives it away, to Brownhill, gets it back.
Godfrey comes into a central position to win possession there for Everton.
Now Dwight McNeil, moving down the left-hand side, getting past the full-back.
We've got three to aim for, Dominic Calvert-Lewin's up there.
Staying away with the heads, but Decorah keeps it moving for Everton.
Harrison down the right this time.
Onto his left foot, towards the back post, and a header comes in from McNeil.
And it's just wide of the mark for the former Burnley man.
Good ball out by Decorah to Harrison, who's picked out his opposite winger.
He attempted to just guide it back into the far post,
did McNeil, and just wide, but promising for Everton.
Guarner puts in the pressure on the goalkeeper,
and on this occasion is forced to go long.
Decorah snaps in and brings it away for Everton.
Harrison in support, goes on the outside of the defender.
A bit of missed control, but he does well to win the corner for Everton.
First of the game for the Toffees.
It's the former Burnley man, McNeil to deliver.
It's over Trafford, who just about got his glove to it,
to palm it away for another corner on the far side.
Teasing delivery from McNeil, and Tarkovsky head in hands.
He thought he was gonna get another goal against his former club.
Delivery from Garner, this time towards Tarkovsky again.
More up than towards goal, and Trafford under pressure.
Stays it away from goal, but he was fouled in the process.
But Tarkovsky proving a threat on these set-pieces for Everton.
Harrison smelts an opportunity there.
But Beyer just in the nick of time.
Great pressure from Nathan Paterson, who's been released by Harrison.
Calvert-Lewin! Great save from Trafford.
Reflex save, getting down to his left-hand side to deny Dominic Calvert-Lewin another away goal.
Everton winning possession with the press, it's a great delivery from Paterson.
McNeil towards the back post, and Everton have their goal.
Amadou Onana back in the side today, had scored his first league goal of the season.
He scored against Burnley in the League Cup victory.
He's now done the same thing at Turf Mall in the Premier League,
and Everton have a deserved lead.
They've been dangerous from set-pieces in the opening 18 minutes.
It's another wonderful McNeil ball in, Trafford all at sea.
And Onana had the height advantage and the determination to get their first
and score his first Premier League goal of the season.
Good hold-up play, and McNeil is bursting into space, he's got two with him, he might go alone.
And the driving effort from Dwight McNeil,
who scored in Everton's last away win at Nottingham Forest,
couldn't repeat the feat today.
Drove from halfway, opened up for him.
Here's Hamdouni, looking for Brunlarsson, Tarkovsky away again.
Garner and McNeil looking to spring a counter for Everton.
Garner slips, and he's tripped, says the referee, Anthony Taylor.
Nathan Paterson having his pocket pinched momentarily by Odeberg,
which is shaping up to be a really interesting battle on the Everton right.
What was that man thinking? Vincent Kompany.
He's searched for a home win in the Premier League for such a long time.
That's a good flick on for Everton, and Michael Keane's gonna get a second chance.
And Everton have a second goal.
And it's a former Burnley defender, Michael Keane, who's backing the goals for Everton.
Two chances came his way, the first well saved by Trafford,
the second absolutely no doubt.
And the defender, who has a knack of scoring, puts Everton in a great position.
It was Tarkovsky who won the header, the two centre-halves combining,
as Keane's first-time volley was well saved by Trafford.
A piece of good fortune as it ricocheted back to the Everton number five.
They were virtually an open goal to aim for, couldn't miss.
Every blue shirt back inside their own half of the ball over the top for Coutinho,
he's got him down in the middle, oh, that's brilliant from Ben Godfrey.
Denying Burnley a route back into this game on his first Premier League start of the season,
Ben Godfrey with a crucial interception as Amdouni was poised to steer the ball into Pickford's goal.
It's McNeil's delivery, Tarkovsky went down in the back post,
he has a glance at the referees, a bit more than a glance in the end actually from Tarkovsky.
His face suggests he feels as though he was fouled by Rodriguez at the back post.
Nothing coming from VAR, but it brings to an end a first half which Sean Dige will be
extremely pleased with. Everton 2-0 in front going into the break,
looks to try and win a free kick there and does so from Vitinho.
Looks like it will be James Garner, finds it towards the far post,
almost catches out James Trafford, who makes another smart save.
A wicked strike, he was dipping and probably just about reaching that far corner.
Unana wins the header, McNeil drops nicely for him, he's got Harrison in support,
McNeil taking it into the area and winning another corner for Everton.
Garner's delivery towards the back post, Trafford was flopping,
it's bouncing here, there and everywhere.
And somehow Burnley scramble it away, and somehow Everton weren't able to get a third goal.
Not quite sure how the ball stayed out, but Everton were so close to number three.
Foster with the lay-back into O'Shea.
Back into Foster, turns smartly.
That's good play from Brownhill, and Downey, he's gonna hit it!
Good save, Jordan Pickford, well struck by Andowney.
Good play initially from Brownhill, opened up for Andowney,
and a big strong right hand from Jordan Pickford.
Is Tarkovsky unable to turn in space?
He's got Harrison to his left, he might go alone, he might find Beto!
And that's a smart save from Trafford, he was out quickly,
spread himself, made himself big, and denied Beto another Everton goal.
And it's a winning return to Turf Moor for Sean Dyche and Everton.
He spent a decade here as Burnley manager, where he won many hearts and minds.
But he's won three points for the Toffees,
who are now four wins and four clean sheets in a row
for the first time since the early noughties.
Their great run of form continues as they continue to defy the ten points deduction
and keep on fighting in the Premier League.
They're seven clear of the bottom three now,
thanks to goals from Onana and Keane in the first half.
Vincent Kompany's Burnley remain in the bottom three,
as Sean Dyche's Everton are on a very much awkward trajectory.
