I thought it would be fun this year to share a walk through tour of the holiday additions added to the new (yet very old home). This is my first Christmas in this house and I cannot wait to see how it evolves over the years. Let me know what you think of this years decor!

Hello everybody, happy holidays and welcome to my first ever Christmas home tour and actually my
first ever night time tour in general. I've never shared a space at night so this is exciting
because you actually get to see some of the lamps on and some of the lighting in the house and I've
also decorated it of course for the Christmas time, which if you have yet to see that video
I will actually go ahead and link it in a card up here. We did an entire video on decorating for
Christmas such as everything you just saw in the courtyard. We did some garland around the arch,
this little kind of swag situation on the door which looks so great. So let's come in, I thought
this would be a fun video to do for the holiday season and I want to share with you my space.
So the first room that you actually enter through whether you're in the courtyard outside where we
just were or you come through the front door over here is this lobby room and I call this a lobby
because there kind of are two living rooms in this home. The upstairs one just feels like more of a
formal living room and I didn't want to call this like a second living room, however it is like the
brightest space. It has this egg-shaped window which I dreamed of putting a stunning Christmas
tree in this window. This Christmas tree here is from Terrain. I'll link some of the things I have
below. I do know that Christmas is kind of almost coming to an end so hopefully some of this stuff
might be on sale for you guys. In this particular tree I decorated with a ton of ornaments from the
store. Went with this paper mache, this hand-painted paper mache theme across the tree and I just loved
these ornaments. They're so pretty and a little scalloped garland and then around the tree is the
castle re-sofa that I've had over in this corner here and when it's actually done up in the corner
way it looks so great, however it also looks stunning like this. I love how you can kind of
make it more modular and you can add the pieces over on this side, you can put them over on this
side and the boucle is great. I also found out that this is a performance boucle which I didn't
know because I spilled coffee on it the other day and it rolled off which was just it was I
couldn't believe it and then I looked it up and it is a performance boucle not sponsored. And of
course on the wall over here I have a couple of my decennial art prints. This is composition one
and two. I will link these for you guys. I love these so much, they add so much depth. They're
just abstract so you can really put them anywhere. Over here is kind of our little mini bar area
which I love because we always have friends over like hosting is a big thing in this house. This
is kind of the room everyone migrates to. It just has the most seating options and that's again why
I call it the lobby. I kind of did this little ice bucket, we could bring ice down and then add it
to this section and then we have some glasses, a bunch more storage down in here of glasses and
just kind of surfwear and such. And this is one of my favorite little additions down here,
the table. This is also whenever I come down here and everyone's here, everyone's always at the
table. It's just a great little spot to hang out at and then the tree that used to be over there
that was in the Christmas tree spot is over here for the time being and she will be moving back
chairs out of place at the moment but it looks so lovely right here so I'm not mad about that.
And of course the centerpiece of this lobby is the fireplace and this is a real fireplace which
is great. It's a gas fireplace. The surround of this fireplace and all the tiles actually batch elder
tile which is prestigious type of tile made by batch elder who was a tile maker. The shape of
this one I absolutely love and I knew this year having a large mantle, one of my first kind of
ever mantles I can really decorate for Christmas, I wanted to go all out so I did this kind of
woodlandy enchanted forest vibe and I just love it. It feels so great. Everyone that comes over
really likes it as well. Next year I really want to conceptualize though and think like what I can
do that also ties back to the house. I think that would be fun. This is a lobby and it's such a nice
calm vibe in here and I find myself hanging out in this room really often but let's go upstairs
because that's where we kind of actually mainly live. So we are now heading into the formal living
room. This is directly above the lobby because if you are new to the channel my house is actually a
duplex that I converted into a house and so in this lobby and so in and in and in here I have
this great vaulted ceiling which really is what sold me on at the house. I have some painting on
the beams which is so nice and I knew I wanted to add garland to the archways so that was one
of the main ways I decorated in this living room was adding some of this fresh garland to the arch
and it's been up here for about a month so if it looks a little crisp it is crisp I'm not gonna lie.
These ribbons as well and always remember if you do invest on ribbon like this you can always reuse
it year after year so I'll pull all of this out, wind it all back up so I can reuse all of this.
Over in the study area I did have like a couple of stockings and kind of additional elements but
I ended up moving them around for the video so she's not as festive as she once was but that is
okay because this living room has the Christmas tree which I recently discovered that I think
this area of lights is out on the tree which is great. I don't know how to fix that though so
but on here I kind of added a collection of ornaments that I just had over the years. I've
never had more than one tree in an apartment or a house in the past so doing two I had to break out
all of my ornaments and then downstairs we used one from the shop and then up here I used a bunch
that I've just been collecting over the years and I love this tree so much it's from Target.
I actually got this probably like seven years ago when I was in college and I still use it to
this day it's such a great tree and then these little bows were some of my favorite additions
I couldn't stop posting photos about and added them all the way across the bookcase and bows
were a major massive trend this season for holiday a thousand percent but I also I love a good bow so
I was really happy about that. Over here we have another fireplace and I actually recently just
got this new fireplace grill or cover it's not a grill fireplace cover I got this on Marketplace
and it has this little wavy edge and above this is probably another one of my favorite Christmas
elements in the house. I just love the scarlet swag with the blueberries and the burgundy ribbon
and I also think this is so cute and the gold bells just I really like the way that this one
turned out on the mantel fire so cozy in here too we did a little village oh my gosh I forgot to
oh it is lit up isn't it oh it's just dim some stockings on the tv of course because there was
no room on the chimney and last but not least a little bit more garland on this archway here and
to soften up our sconces a bit of ribbon and I love the way this one turned out I feel like it
feels very like unshapely but I really like that about it with the little gold stars it just has
some character to it so working our way through here we're heading into the dining room which is
the most recent makeover on the channel if you watch my last video this room is the one that we
most recently made over but you know I had to add a few holiday touches and if you have yet to watch
that video this is my favorite room I think I've done in the house so you definitely have to take
a peek I did a part one and then a part two and in part two we really decorated it all I found this
stunning tapestry on the wall which I love and then just on the light which by the way is extremely
bright so if it's like glowing in this video disregard that um but I mean I love it it's great
I added a couple of ribbons these were a real big hit on the store this year they were like silk
torn recycled ribbons and they're so stunning so I added those to the chandelier which I like and
then to our little gold vase this kind of fun floppy little Christmas tree branch was a fun
addition and that's really all I did in this space we did some ribbon over on the sconce over there
but if you want any details on like any of the space I'm not going to go too in-depth just because
I did just share it so if you want to see any details definitely check out those videos and
then wrapping around the corner we have the coffee bar which is right through this kind of little
dining room area and I opened this archway up which was a big big major impact I actually
wanted to remove all the walls the one the tapestry's on and this one as well but it was
going to cost far too much and I didn't so we ended up just kind of doing this large arch which
really makes it feel a bit more open to the kitchen area and in the coffee bar I just added
some garland and thank you all so much after I shared where I got the garland from in the living
room a lot of you told me to head to Trader Joe's and I got this garland there so much more affordable
so I'm definitely going to be shopping at Trader Joe's I mean I already do for flowers but I know
they had Christmasy elements like garlands and wreaths so I'll definitely be looking there more
and I just added those here we have a couple of pomegranates in my Arvin Alano bowl this is the
and I love this one of my favorite pieces I just tend to always reach for it so right through here
is the kitchen which again this is another favorite space in the home I just love being
in this room whether it's nighttime or day it always just has the best vibe especially when
we just have this little lamp on it always feels so nice in here and then over here I actually just
end up always swapping the branches in this vase kind of for whatever season it is I had some more
fall themed ones in November time and then during Christmas I actually added these pottery barn
branches which I got last year and they light up but I have yet to put batteries in though so
they're just currently being branches in this pot which looks great of course we have to do the
little bow details on our candles and I love this little Christmas tree cookie jar it's so cute this
was from the shop however there's no more cookies in here oh that's good and rude and then right
through here is the breakfast nook which this area is another one I just love this entire like little
hub of the house like these three rooms connected up and I feel like the red table is a great base
for a bit of Christmas so that's always in here now I did go ahead and add a few touches to the
back of the chairs like these little bows I feel like in any room that you want to add a little
bit of Christmas but you don't want to invest too much get a roll of ribbon and add a few bows here
and there I feel like it adds like that nice Christmassy touch like you're unwrapping a
little gift which is fun and so I added them to the back of each of the chairs also little candle
sconces around and then in the center just did this little kind of Christmas foliage and
pomegranate centerpiece which kind of ties in nicely with the table small additions to your
kitchen and breakfast nook I don't like to go overboard with it so I just kind of added a few
touches that I thought I'd share with you guys so let's head over into Marie's bedroom which is
going to be the final room in this little tour the last room I'm sharing with you guys is Marie's
bedroom and I actually did have a Christmas tree in my own bedroom however I did end up moving it
because I did a little shoot the other day which is coming out next year you're going to see the
Christmas tree in here however I love the addition of these garlands you kind of saw that I added the
purple ribbons when I added it to my own bedroom and just left it super simple but then when I
brought it in here I just felt like it needed something to tie it in with the color of the wall
and so I added these purple garlands that look so great on the front of the tree and so this
Christmas tree of course adds a nice Christmassy impact in this bedroom but a few other elements
that I did add I love this silver little vessel I've really been into silver lately and I feel
like silver with greenery reads so chic I love this so I just added this kind of on the nightstand
there and then one other little tiny element were these flowers I actually don't really know I'm
sure you guys can let me know but I got these at the flower district and they're just a nice pop
of red but look how great those look they're kind of like little statement flowers and we also added
this really pretty throw blanket to Marie's bed too because the heat sadly has been broken as of
late this is from Chris Loves Julia and Lola blankets it's so so soft it's in the raisin
color way so if you're in the market for a good blanket this one definitely does it and yeah that
was really the tour pretty quick but I just wanted to share it with you because I've never been able
to share any of my spaces at night time and I thought going through being able to see the lights
on and kind of see the vibe of the home at night since you guys do get to see it all the time in
the daytime and when's a better time to do it than Christmas I definitely next year once we have
more rooms done I want to be able to decorate even more and do another one of these videos and see
how much more we've been able to accomplish over the year so thank you all so so much for the past
year here on Lone Fox and for watching all the content that I've been creating and sharing about
this house and all the makeovers that we've been doing and for just subscribing thank you all and
I love you guys so much happy holidays and I'll catch you in my next one. Bye!
