Carnival Vista Day-4 Grand Turk Flavors, Sightseeing & Lunch Excursion! | We ride the SkyRide!

There he is. Alright, it's come down to this. The last two. Yay! Our dinners have arrived. We said goodbye 14 to 13. Welcome to Green Turk. Holy cow. First time. The waters do look very lovely. Nice temperature. And alongside us we have the Carnival Legend. Cool. Looks like the Miracle has got the restaurant in the funnel. Looks like a great day. Oh, look at those blue waters. Nice. Alright, we're going to have to start the day off though with a little breakfast. We have our TAL animal friends this morning. Making an appearance. They're all over. Look at them all. Alright, we're doing the omelet station. Thank you. Alright. The way to guarantee hot eggs. Go to the omelet station. And breakfast for the day so far. Omelet, bacon. Lack of wind whatsoever. It's windy. Holy cow. Not complaining. We like it. It's not blazing hot. Just hang on to your hats. And my sunglasses. Yes. Oh my gosh. Yeah, the Legend looks just like the Miracle that we were on in May. So we really like the Miracle. They don't have to be the giant ships. Yeah, we pulled up and I looked down and I was like, Holy moly, we are like towering over the poor Legend. Right. So, Grand Turk, in case you've ever wondered. You don't have to do an excursion. There's beach access right off the pier. On either side. Yep, so this is our first time in Grand Turk. So definitely let us know if you have been here. And did you do an excursion? Or did you just hang out right here on the beach and do shopping? Yeah. The water looks lovely though. It sure does. That's a great color right there. The water looks better than it did yesterday. Wow, look at it. Yeah, that's blue water. Welcome to Grand Turk. So it looks like I'm the driver. It was February 20th, 1962. John Glenn had orbited the Earth and splashed down 200 miles to the north of this island in the Bahamas. And even though you see all that wonderful salt out there, we still go down to the store for our box of Morton's salt. Look at these two living their best pup life. This one over here has got anchor and the wheel. Are you liking it? That end one? Oh yeah, anchor and wheel. So on the drive I noticed this one, which is very similar to the one I got in Cancun. Oh, you may have to check out the anchor and wheels. Now the colors, I've never seen one like this. This is cool, jellyfish. Lot of little shops and stands, food, pups. They call them smart asses. I like it. Hey friend. Now folks, directly in front is the Grand Turk lighthouse, which is actually the highest elevation on Grand Turk. And we call that one the jackass. Why? Because if you feed him a carrot, he don't want no other donkeys around him and he will fight for that carrot. Oh yeah, we are at Mateo's. I like all the shelves. It smells amazing in here. It smells great. Alright, we are in a nice little place and she said red and white for Christmas. But yeah, these plates of food look really good. We are having some Grand Turk cuisine. I don't know, I'm really so... Got some macaroni salad. Was this banana? Yes. Okay, and two kinds of rice. Alright, so just real quick, I gotta say. Chicken, super, super moist. Love it. The yellow rice is great. Kind of a sweet pasta, real good. Or macaroni, that's good. Everything. Alright, we were just delivered kind of fritters. He's delivering everybody. So we'll give this a go. He's got a full tray there. That's really good. Is it spicy, the sauce? No. It's like a white fish. Yes. Alright, this is where we just had lunch. Mateo's Caribbean Flavor. It was all delicious. Did you have a personal favorite? Everything was good. I don't know, I really liked the macaroni salad. And then the chicken was good. I don't know, everything. Aw, little puppy. Hey little girl. But, I don't know, I enjoyed it. Yeah, I really enjoyed their food. The chicken was great. Yeah, that macaroni salad, I'm with Andrea. But now, off to the Governor's Beach. To the beach. Look at these views. Alright. Oh, this reminds me a lot of... The Cozumel? Cozumel, yeah. When you could just sit along the side there and just grab a chair and look at the ships. Right. Oh, okay, nice place to eat right here. Eat and drink, get a table right there. And just stare at this view and this beautiful ocean. Well, this would be a cool spot to swim. Look at this view. Thumbnail. You're showing off your moves and hope for attention And I answer with laughter to an imitation that I don't know I swear I'll tell the truth Whoop, whoop. A legend right above you. When you're shy We're next to go on the Skyride. We tried to do this on the Horizon in 2019 and it was all shut down. Closed, but look, it's open. Alright, here we go, craziness. You guys ready? Yeah, sure. 3, 2, 1, go. Oh boy, oh boy, okay. Here we go. Oh, look at the view. Oh man, hold on. This is crazy. Oh, that's high. Holy cow. Andrew's ahead, I better pick it up. This is crazy. Alright, well this is fun. Wow, the views, man. The views. I'm afraid of this uphill. We're coming up the downhill. I'm going to go uphill. What goes down must peddle up. Okay. Alright, well this is a lot of fun. This is crazy. Highly recommend. Wow. Okay, a lot of uphill. It's a bit of a workout now. Okay, there we go. Coming in hot. I'm catching up. He's catching up. That was fun. That was a lot of fun. That was so much fun. Here we come into the station. And there's everybody. Okay. That was a little bit of a workout. Well, that was fun. Alright, that's done. So, yeah, that was a lot of fun. I got the downhill first. And then, so I pulled way ahead of her. And then I had to do the uphill, which was a little bit of work. And then she caught up finally. Did I have, I don't know if I had an uphill. There's Ed from the Alchemy Bar. A quick view of Vista's Sports Square. They pretty much have everything. Mini golf looks really fun. They got a funnel here. They do have bags down there. Pool table. And look at this crazy one. And we showed you the indoor, what do you call that? It was soccer billiards. Soccer billiards where you kick the ball. We're trying to decide if we want to use all the energy to actually do the ropes course. Or just be lazy. We may take it easy this time. If it were the Mardi Gras or Celebration where the ropes course has that zipline portion, I think I would do it. But as Andrea said, we have to spend the time to get all hooked in. And then, I don't know. It's great views up there though. Oh, here's a pretty good bird's eye view of Grand Turk. Oh, here goes the next two. Look what Andrea has. Looks like it needs a little touch up. A little touch up. That just means it's extra creamy. Yeah, this is my first... Chocomoto getaway. The trip, yeah. Oh, and I don't think I can do this without spilling. Right. Pum-tini. That looks fantastic. Alright, ready? Cheer. Have some chocolate on your martini. Oh, boy. Very good. Wow. Look at all the little beauties. Your way. Oh, look at that. That is the way. Okay, Andrea had her first bite of Guy's Burger for this cruise. What do you think? It's awesome. Oh, look at it, guys. The fries were good. Look at that burger. It's got the crispy edges. Yeah. Alright, I got the pig patty. Oh, it's a heavy burger. See if you can tell what time it is. Cloud 9 spa time. Spa time. Let's go. Cloud 9 spa. Okay, so next on the list, Purple Sunset. It is Bacardi rum, lavender syrup, fresh rosemary, sparkling wine. Okay, that all sounds good. It does have a little purple tint to it. And you can taste the champagne right off the bat. And I am having a Cassandra special. Carbonated water and a little bitters because the ship is rocking pretty good. And I didn't take my Dramamine, so. She's waiting for dinner to take her Dramamine. There he is. It's all Matthew's fault. We're blaming Matthew. It's all his fault. How are you? Good, how are you doing? Good to see you. Purple Sunset, so I would give this one another 8. I mean, is that super sweet? 7 or 8? Yeah, it's good. Okay, moving along. Yeah, it's a little bubbly. Apps have arrived. Andrew has Emeril's ceviche. Yes. It's like you get little salted chips, crackers with it. So, interesting to try that out. Those look good. And I have French onion soup. I'm also getting the ceviche. Okay, so I've got to say the Emeril's ceviche is on the Emeril menu. It's very light, fresh, lime juice. Yeah, this is a star, so that's really good. I haven't tried the chip yet. French onion soup is very good. So far, so good. Bring on the entree, which is an Emeril special catfish. That's a new one. New to the menu, Emeril's catfish. So, we're excited to try that new offering. Never had it before. Andrew also had the same thing. Emeril's catfish. Alright, so I've got to say the review on the Emeril's food, outstanding. Best mac and cheese I've had on a cruise ship. It's buttery, it's salty. Yeah, this is amazing mac and cheese. And then the spinach, comes with spinach. That's really good. Catfish, really good. The sauce is good. So, this new Emeril entree, definitely a star. Bam! So, we might be a little crooked because our gimbal is dying. So, we're sideways, that's why. Alright, Andrew has the mule. So, I have the mule, but it looks a little different, because since I am having a little motion stuff, which is way better now, thanks to Cassandra and Catalina. But it's a mule, but it's spin, it has watermelon instead of ginger beer, and it's fantastic. So, if you want this version of the mule, just say make it watermelon based. Instead of ginger beer. Good, good. It's fantastic. And what would you give that one? I will give it a 10. Oh, a 10, there it is. I have Alchemist Sidecar, which is a VSOP, or is it VSOP? Someone told me. Cognac, triple sec, fresh lime, simple syrup. It smells dry. But you got sugar, right? No. It's sugar on the rim. Yeah, that's… Not for you. That's not my thing. So, I know a lot of these are going to be scoring high for me, like 8s or 9s. This one's probably like a 4. Do you want to try it? Well, we're scraping the bottom of the barrel. We're getting there. Because tomorrow we have our last 3 to try, so it's going to be a little rough going for the last day. I'm going to give that a go. So, maybe a 4 to a 5 for the Sidecar. It's just not the right flavor profile for me. You give it a 1? That's a 1. A 1? Yeah. Nothing against the Alchemist. All right, I'll give it a 4. Nothing against the Alchemist or those who like it. It's just not my cup of tea. All right, try your Mule, Mule, Mule, Mule. Yeah, that's good. I can see where it's like ginger-based, and then it's got watermelon. So, that's good. All right. Yeah, I would give that one a good 8 or 9. All right, now off to bed. All right, see ya. 4 more to go.
