Xinyun Performing Arts kicked off its 2024 European tour on December 27th in Florence, Italy.
The artists took to the stage to delight a full theater.
Some audience members said they were mesmerized by Xinyun's artistic skills.
I was struck by the colors, by the synchrony of the dancers.
The union between music, theater, dance, and the physical virtuosity of the dancers.
It was a great show. I liked it a lot.
The beginning of a new spectacular genre.
The union of dance, pantomime, and especially the videography was extraordinary.
The confinement of the stage in the video is brilliant. It's well done.
According to its website, Xinyun's mission is to revive the 5,000-year-old traditional Chinese culture
that was nearly lost under communist rule.
Many audience members say they were moved by the historical pieces portrayed on stage.
It's a culture you don't know.
It's fascinating, these stories that come from culture mixed with tradition, mixed with religion.
Carried within the scene.
I was really expecting Xinyun.
I like it a lot.
It gives me a sense of well-being.
Especially the imperial China.
Their culture, their art.
I really liked it.
Absolutely. There are Zen, Taoist, Buddhist elements.
But also transcendent, out of time, out of history.
So it's something we need more than anything.
More than air.
While the audience appreciated the artist's finesse,
some felt a spiritual message behind the performance.
I think we should all follow their example.
Compassion, tolerance, patience are virtues we should all have.
We are the expression of God.
If we had the chance to do it, it would be wonderful.
A message, without a doubt, something that touches you.
Congratulations, guys, because you are all extraordinary.
Keep up the good work.
Xinyun will continue to perform in Florence until December 31.
