Trad Climbing in Smith Rock - Zebra Zion (Pitch 3)

yeah i can kind of see i think where the traverse is and i'll try to avoid the birds all right so you are you're on top and left very good yeah well that's a nice big flake yeah this one down here was yeah this thing's massive like right there it's probably a good spot oh wow that's really uh yeah there's some flares too there we go where are you at i knew i saw you it's like honestly it's just sort of nerve-wracking i don't know why i think like i've grown such so weary of this rock and just like crumbling under my feet yeah i know i don't know why that wasn't an issue last year when i was here yeah well not nearly as much as well it doesn't help when i climbing a lot with uh alan and chris amazing climbers but they're just developing a lot of you know brand new stuff so it hasn't gotten a lot of traffic yet yeah and it just like getting on that stuff and you're sort of cleaning it up for everybody the masses later on in its history by the way hank wall phenomenal place just saying i should go up a little higher you could take a solstice and know you know there's a whole ton of people do this route all the time so they probably cleaned it up for pretty well for me i hate when it does that i really do a fear three slide when i got the right size that was the one harness i had it did not do that and i got one too big and it did do it and just bothers me i think i can get a point for me you are the equivalent no yes yep i mean like yeah they're jagged oh i'm sorry guys that is a weird sound i don't know if you can hear that or not hopefully you're not bats please don't be i don't i can try to go off that let me get in if you're birds i'm sorry if you're bats i'm sorry please don't bite me rabies where are the vaccines how much they cost me that thing is nice that gives you a little confidence hey just a warning there's something right here that's like screaming at me oh you'll hear it yeah i guess i don't know i don't want to stick my hand in there i don't know what's gonna freaking get myself into all right well supposedly as easy as this is gonna be it is sketchy supposedly do you know the pitch ends after the traverse yeah there's a set of anchors right there um when i get to those i'll check the uh yeah consult the guide yesterday sure it's cool though there's change change the bottom of that flake i might just keep going up to the flake yeah all right i'm gonna keep going up yeah that must be the top of something else that's fun still not really a good spot to plug here i can probably get a nut somewhere in here but this is easy enough they're dirty plug something right there yeah boy that's even kind of small i don't think i do yeah i don't think i do no and not will not work there i'm sure if i fiddle with it long enough i can make one work but or i could just move right up there i know the masses will argue with me on that one come on supposedly there's these things will hold with that not like that but whatever this gets into that like way easy terrain then where you just sort of get lost climbing and plug gear it's a thing why don't slip into it don't break it off yeah stop swearing rock rock like that that was seriously right there wasn't that bad but flares that flare yeah well that looks pretty freaking cool getting psyched ah please stop with the swinging a little little run out shame on me no lie though this is like probably five six kilometers yes i think it is not that that's an excuse it really isn't okay this is what i was handed from this got to figure out an anchor i think we can do it or rather i know i can do it probably just do a sliding axe or i can tie a bite one or the other yes okay see i could just put a twist clip it that would work um i'm kind of a fan of just doing that grand this isn't my uh all right where's you what's cozy oh someone had a bad day let me think here yeah that's probably good yeah we're gonna go with that hey leo off belay sweet
