Our Favorite New Orleans Restaurant & the World War II Museum

[Music] good morning everyone good morning everyone good morning everyone welcome to New Orleans day three this is part of our one suitcase six kids series that we're doing we we literally brought one carry-on size suitcase and then some backpacks that that counted as personal items on the flight and we're here in New Orleans and we're having a great time so far and we're going to today we're starting things off with a buffet breakfast which I am so excited about are you ready for the day yeah are you going to eat lots of food yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I like your hat a turtle a turtle did you get that at the aquarium yesterday turtle and yeah there's a turtle right there did you get that at the aquarium yeah is it help protect you from the Sun what you ready to go on a street caring n you get cornbread you want some grits what's on your plate Parker bacon strawberry salad and boiled crawfish so this is the Court of Two Sisters the atmosphere is stunning it's so beautiful it's so I I just it's so beautiful there's like foliage on above us and this little well and we have live music playing which we were really hoping to experience on this trip the food is really good and it's really really well labeled which I I appreciate so much you don't always get that at a buffet and it is so nice that it'll say like lacto oo vegetarian it's a gluten free on some places I really appreciate that it makes things really simple for me so I'm glad that it's there and I want everybody to know that that's there because if you are a vegetarian or you have other dietary needs you know the value of those labels so I really appreciate that so several of us ordered iced tea so we have some really nice iced tea and I got so far grits and they're fabulous I have never had grits so good um I got the garlic potatoes I got Cajun corn and a potato salad and the potato salad is so so good it's exactly how I like it and the Cajun corn I don't like as much like there's nothing wrong with it it's just I don't I don't like it as much as the other things and I also got a sweet potato that is very much like a dessert to me like it it's not as much the flavor of it sweet potato it's more the flavor of like brown sugar so it's really delicious I didn't realize it was going to be so dessert like so um I feel like I added that to my plate a little prematurely but it it is very good I went through about half of one side and had to stop cuz my plate was full but I got one of everything I'm so excited to try all this food I'll be right back I just tried everything on my plate this is where I will break myself I'm going to eat too much food here it it can't be stopped it's going to happen how does it taste it's good oh you like that the cornbread yeah they're your favorite oh yeah I'm [Music] you Duncan's hard at work on a project he's getting his shrimp ready the crawf salad is incredible oo you need to try it Mom you they also have an omelette bar and an eggs benedict bar so my vegetarian egg Benedict have tomato you have tomatoes yeah wow I'm going for dessert all right so we've got red velvet pecan pie and a coconut cake this is a lemon layer cake on asking the question well that's delicious it's not too dry it's not too moist it's like perfect perfect I prefer it to the lemon they're both great red velvet best Red Velvet I've ever had and pecan buttery and delicious so good so good did you happen to get any shrimp yeah yeah a little [Music] bit those guys remind me of the singing bus in the Haunted [Applause] [Music] Mansion we just took one of the street cars to another part of town where we're going to go to the World War II [Music] museum so everybody gets a dog tag with admission part of the experience and it's connected to somebody's real story so we're going to go find out who our people are right now and begin their Journey so very very NE we need to get our ticket yeah and you gave me this I gave you a ticket yeah [Music] what is that an airplane wao I see the other airplane down over so this area is set up up like the jungles of Pacific Theater where there's all these like palm trees and stuff and all the exhibits and stuff are mixed in with the trees and the [Music] bu and now we're entering the Berlin exhibit what'd you find I want to read this an m2a1 105 mm [Music] howitzer it's snowing it's snowing I know it's snowing in here it's snowing in here I know wow is this your favorite favorite exhibit so far yeah what about you teddy is it snowing yeah yeah [Music] wow there's the airplane there's airplane you found airplanes wow onp it's really cool because you get these little dog ticket thingies they look like this and then you scan it on a bunch of the screens they kind of look like this and then you put it up to your ear and you can listen to the narrator talk and your uh person that you're following uh along that systems I think is really cool so you get to learn about your person's history and it's real people that you like can see and it's really cool it's it's a really fun idea and I I really like it and then there's a whole bunch of planes right here there's a giant one right there I if you can see it yeah it's right there so huge and there's a tiny well I wouldn't say tiny cuz it's an airplane airplanes are like always huge and then there's one over there and then right there and then over there there's one and then down there there's one so now we're at the bottom we were way like up there and that was really fun and like you can see the airplanes from here now what's going on is we did some of the museum so there's six parts and we've done one of those six parts and we're going to do one more of those six parts and I think we're going to do the rest later so right now we're taking a little break and I'm eating some of these like Cheeto garlic things they're called Chi chiwi so chiwi and so we're going to see how these paintings pretty good tastes like a Cheetos but [Applause] different really good all right we just finished at the Museum and I thought it was really informative and fun I liked the way that they displayed everything because it was like you were it wasn't like you were walking through a museum it like you were walking through a land that had like Museum elements in it and I like that it talked about the war in a way that was like not not romanticizing it but actually talking about how like serious war is which is is an important important thing to talk about I think and and learn about I recommend this Museum it's good World War II Museum New Orleans [Music] we're back downtown and we're looking for p booys that's the plan for tonight you excited yeah we got some Gator PB boys those are Big C boys this is up every I wanted to show a little bit about where we're staying and a little bit on how we packed this house is very long so we come up these stairs and then it comes into this like living area with a kitchen and then there's a very long hallway this the backpack I used it's actually a little over the size limit but I didn't pack it very full so I could
