Xi Jinping, the leader of China, always portrays an image of integrity and self-discipline in public. However, the lifestyle displayed by his family members on social media starkly contrasts this image, showing off luxurious villas and expensive designer luxury goods. Xi Mingze, Xi Jinping's daughter, began showcasing her opulent lifestyle on her Twitter as early as 2022. Her posts featured high-end jewelry from Van Cleef & Arpels, exquisite watches from Patek Philippe, and more. Brands like Louis Vuitton seem to have lost their allure for her, as she now favors Hermès and Chanel. Moreover, she flaunted several Rolls-Royce cars, along with photos of Xi Jinping's desk and the interiors of Zhongnanhai, presumably to underscore her status and background.
Xi Jinping's current residence, Ying Tai Island, occupies two hectares in the South Sea of Zhongnanhai. Ying Tai was once a summer retreat for emperors and concubines, boasting 19 rooms and the impressive double-layered Penglai Pavilion. While previous CCP leaders typically did not choose to live on Ying Tai, Xi Jinping broke this tradition, unafraid of the so-called curse of Emperor Guangxu's imprisonment and death there.
