A new day dawns here in the jungle
of the Corcovado National Park. Here we
are in our little cabins. I have slept and
little as always. I woke up at 4 or
so and now we are going to have breakfast. This
landscape is incredible. On top of that,
we are alone and it is going to be over. of less, that
is, it is a tranquility of peace
that is breathed here, little animals pass
by from time to time, there was an aguatusa
here, a bird that I don't know exactly
what it is, now I'll ask to see, so
we say hello and we'll start
today's excursion. It's going to be about
four hours, it's going to be much
milder than yesterday, calmer and
we'll arrive again at the
Agujitas beach in BahĂa del Rey

we're going to try Termitas,
very delicious as I would say Pumba slimy but
tasty
Well the truth is that they don't have a bad
taste, it has a little flavor as
if it were a little leafy, a little woody, the
truth is that it is something that you want to
try other dishes with this recipe and
as a good main ingredient it is the
food of the future not
the food of the future we are not in the
habit of eating insects but due to
their small size their great strength they are
mega food
one gram of Termites is very easy to
raise a nest it only takes up
decomposing matter and can be equivalent to up
to 7 grams of peanuts So if we see
the relationship It is very very high,
this is a good alternative for the issue
of climate change
of the use of agriculture and minimizing
the consumption of larger animals a little
so that we can make a small transition
to insects like the Asians do.
Today spider monkeys have appeared here
on high or really
red monkeys. It could be in Spanish, yes
red in English, the translation would be
spider monkeys and it was impressive
because they were here a little uncomfortable
with our presence and they weren't
throwing things, they started shaking. the
branches of the trees to throw us
and things like that so that we move away But
well the moment has been very cool a lot of
dan what he is doing at this moment
stretching ticks
he is doing a sleeve cut
take take
move
[Music] we
have lost our guide
but here we are shooting here alone It's
okay
[Laughs]
how did you know that
at this moment you can see my shirt there is
a lot of humidity this being a
secondary forest it is smaller so the
amount of sun reaches stronger at
ground level the importance of
forests is that it helps us keep
the environment cooler, so one of the
reasons for global warming is
the loss of forests because they
are heat mitigation zones
and it is noticeable that yesterday we were going on
much more difficult technical hikes that cost
more steeper and we were sweating less than
today, which is being very quiet, so
here the vegetation is much less dense. It
is that yesterday the sun was not directly shining
at this time and here the path
is illuminated to continue breakfast,
we are going to make an omelet with boletus
We can see this red mushroom that is from
tropical forests, it has a wide
distribution, its scientific name is
capacious coqueina,
scientific name, although it has
a red color, it is
normally edible. In Spanish, we know it as
red cup. Because of its
very easy shape,
only the part can be identified. From the other party's glass you
don't eat it
so you like to try it.
The taste is very similar to a dried mushroom,
very very similar. It's incredible
[Applause]
This river is called a clear river because of its
crystalline waters,
the name doesn't deceive
[Music]
[Music]
so spectacular we just arrived at the
bottom of the river crossing it for
a while we arrived at this impressive
brutal waterfall
[Music]
this place is spectacular I
incredibly recommend that you come it is a place
it is a dream or the walk these days are
so spectacular that ending with this
It is incredible. I also recommend that
if you do it, you leave it towards the end
of the trip because if not, you are going to set the
bar very high. This is making it the
best of the entire trip and it is one of the
least touristy places in the country. People come
but nothing that See with other places, for
example, La Fortuna, the waterfall where
we were, the party is filled with people, here
we are six people, nothing to see,
more or less, here, a blue clay bath,
great for the skin, this is an
exfoliant,
here, look, our guide is 56 years old and let's
go now. It is how it is preserved thanks to
the clay. We
left the waterfall, which has been
a super cool surprise, and now
we have a 45-minute walk
uphill that, by
the way, the waterfall has not mentioned but it does not
have a name to avoid
tourism comes and the maps are not there so
well from today
the waterfall is officially going to be called John's Atlas or
better
youtube.com/h John's Atlas So
it will appear like this on the maps look for it

Why do you think this flower is called
red Lips
the seed is not This yes the white thing is like
a membrane
in English let's try the guagua
it's delicious and over here We're done with the
excursion of these two days here in the
national park of cĂłrdobado Thank you very much
to iber for making us a guide, an
incredible guide. So highly recommended.
If you come here, what do you get with a
top,
bring the corcovado now to validate it and
nothing but two incredible days, super
recommended and we are going to finish here
having lunch. having lunch with a good
meal they take care of us very well here we
come to lunch guys we are going to
finish with a casadito
we finish well I
don't know if you noticed that in Costa Rica
we drink coffee at that average rate
and that's after lunch

and after resting for a while at the
hotel, taking a shower and having a good rest
in general, we have come Now here to the
beach in Agujitas del Rey, it is not
the best but it is the closest So
it is a two-minute walk from anyone
of the hotels that are in agujitas So it
is the place Well, more accessible it
is not the ideal place especially if
you want to snorkel or similar because there
are quite a few boats here so
there is a little diesel in the sea it is
nothing serious but good for see little fish
and such, obviously it is not the best
place, there are other beaches to the south that may
be a better option but the problem
they have is that there is an area of ââcrocodiles
and sharks. So we are still
very excited to be in those places, it doesn't
have to be dangerous but it is a little bit
So it's better not to risk it and
now what we're going to do
is relax here for a while on the beach
the sun isn't as strong anymore
luckily we're still here in the shade protected

and after being on the beach for a little while
resting, luckily it cooled off a
little because it was very hot
but well, then as it got
dark it felt Better we have
returned to the hotel we have rested and we have
gone to dinner somewhere there are not many
restaurants nor is there much option
We arrived at around 7 or so And it
took a while, it is now 9 o'clock they
calmly took an hour to
serve us, that is, a service very slow,
they have like a waiter and a
person cooking and it has taken
a long time but not only with us but
there were others there were also not five
or six months and in fact there have been people
who have left because they had to get up early
tomorrow and they are not not even preparing
the food and they have left and But well in the
end Well, I wasn't in much of a hurry, it was
early so we said Well, well, we do
n't have anywhere else to go and now, well, we
have eaten and well, we have changed
a little, not so much married anymore because
we have been eating this the whole trip and
we have had Ălex a
barbecue rib with pata Tas and such and I
also had chicken breast with potatoes and
patacĂłn so that's what we're closing the blog
for today tomorrow we have some
Adventures left here in Corcovado before we
leave so we have I have to wake up
soon but I'll talk to you about that tomorrow
Pura vida
