Another sketchy entrance by the crew.
So today we are at Stave Lake and we're camping out for two nights, three days and we are
fully loaded.
Our car was not too happy, we hit a few roads on our way here.
Yeah, look at this saggy, saggy action.
It's like literally touching the ground.
You did it so quickly.
Oh my gosh, it's like we practiced like a few weeks ago.
Yeah.
It's great.
In our last hike, Ethan brought up a bunch of tools for this year's camping season.
It's his first time setting up the tent, so it's a two-person tent.
He doesn't want to sleep with us.
So yeah, we're gonna help him set it up.
So Johnny and Andy are very, they have a lot of ingenuity, a lot of creativity and a lot
of guts to make something like this.
Oh, look at that.
Pretty sick and wicked.
All right, walk us through your tent set up.
I was thinking this is really ghetto.
I mean, it is really ghetto, but I think if you're not driving on the highway with this
for too long, it's okay, but...
Why can't you drive on the highway?
I don't know.
I'm a little scared.
I'm a little scared of judgment.
So is this three quarter inch plywood?
Sure.
Okay, that's the only thing I trust.
In case you don't remember.
And there's a mattress.
Nice.
You get some area for your shoes.
Yo, that's sick.
Put some sheets on the mattress and we'll be cozy.
Riley approved.
But I'm not inheriting this when you guys move out.
You're not?
No.
But you're first on the list.
Oh no.
I retract, I retract.
For tonight's dinner, we're having hot dogs.
We have Canadian cheddar and honey garlic.
There happens to be six each, which is perfect.
Yeah, we're going to cook it soon.
We got big fire and mini fire.
It's been nearly three hours and we still have no dinner.
Cheers.
10 out of 10.
Okay, goodnight.
Goodnight.
Ouch!
So much force!
All right, goodnight.
Ready?
He's gonna hit it at me.
Why would I toss it to you?
Because I might not hit it at you.
All right, goodnight.
Good morning, chef.
Sophie has planned another meal for us.
Today, we're having french toast, bacon, and eggs.
I'm responsible for the bacon and the eggs.
And then they're gonna cook the french toast on the stove.
Slow morning, but it's very beautiful.
The sunrise and like the sun.
So it's gonna be real hot today.
It turns out that in all of our rush and everything, we all forgot a spatula.
So now we have tongs that we're using to mix stuff.
And our sunny side up eggs have turned into scrambled.
Oh, that's so long.
This is already long.
There's another piece.
No, that would be great for Sophie and her paddle board.
So now that we finished breakfast and we finished cleaning the dishes and everything,
we're helping Ethan to set up his inflatable kayak for the first time.
Yeah, we'll see how this goes.
So far, we're having a little bit of a difficult situation with the paddles.
Ethan's doing his thing, Sophie's doing her thing, and we're just supervising.
Pumping, pumping, pumping, pumping.
He's got a crop top.
I don't know why.
My sunscreen pose.
Last time we learned our lesson because I got like little burns over here.
And so now they're recovering and I don't want that to do...
I don't want that to happen again.
So now I'm being very thorough.
Lie down, Lewis.
He's just taking up my seat.
Good boy, Lewis.
We have the whole crew.
We have everything.
We have hard kayaks, inflatable kayaks, hard paddle board, inflatable paddle board.
And later we'll pull out the actual boat.
And right now we're probably like 100 meters away from shore.
And it's so shallow, you could probably reach down with your hand and touch the bottom.
How's your maiden voyage?
Amazing.
Yeah, Lewis is being a good boy.
Last time it was definitely not as good.
Hopefully he doesn't jump off out of squirrel in the water or something.
He might try.
We made it to a nearby island.
The water is quite cold.
Yeah.
Ready?
Finally I'm free.
We're going back to grab some stuff.
So I'm going to leave the camera with the stranded islanders.
And they're going to go explore around a little bit.
Shall we go explore?
Lewis, come on.
Let's go explore.
Come.
It looks dead all around.
Even Lewis doesn't want to keep going.
Ethan, how about a little status report?
We're stranded.
Yeah, our mom and dad left us.
That is very unfortunate.
We gotta get food quick.
Okay.
No more water.
Well, we made it back and we're drawing some lines in the sand to play
three on three guys versus girls volleyball.
The sand is so beautiful.
So what are we saying is the net like?
Oh, Lewis.
Lewis is on the boys team.
I think that was over.
If Johnny's was over, then ours was over.
So much chill.
Look at that.
Dropping like flies.
Well, Ethan's going all the way back to camp.
Little boy.
Uno is too hard.
So hard.
Just kidding.
I got sunscreen in my eye.
So many issues.
I think it's nap time.
One, two, three.
Sophie, your sunglasses.
Nice, nice.
No way.
Well, we just got back from our little nap and we're cooking lunch.
We're making butter chicken wraps.
Chicken parts almost done.
The butter chickens come in and then the wraps are later.
And it's hot over here by the fire.
Well, we're done lunch and we're all sweating and we ran out of water.
So now we have to paddle out to the middle of the lake
to go fetch some water and accidentally tip over and then enjoy it.
So it'll be good.
Three people on a paddle board.
A great idea.
Look at that.
We're not even...
This is fine.
This is...
I don't see anything wrong with this picture.
That water's so cold, man.
And he's abandoning us.
Here, here.
Well, that's definitely not taking as much water.
No, but we have to fill up four liters of water.
No, we'll put on ours.
Prime location.
Let's drop the rig and start mining.
That's clean water from the source.
Give it a shot.
All right, Andy, your turn.
Okay.
Straight from the source.
It's also just an odd thing to like pump.
You suck.
How are you a nurse?
Not everyone can have your muscles.
I think the goal should just be to stand up straight on the board.
The both of you.
You're bored.
The E.S.S.
Johnny.
You want person to pull on that?
I feel like we need to sing the national anthem or something.
So we're all set.
Let's go.
Setup was a little bit of a rough go, but we got it to work.
Oh, squeaky.
Yeah, if you want to walk us out, that's great.
This is more comfortable than it looks, I promise.
Just not too much weight.
Oh, whoops.
It might be a lot of weight.
All right, Captain Johnny.
To have both of you in the front and me in the back is maybe not the same.
Hey, I'm not that heavy.
There is so far, there's zero wind.
I think we can fix that.
All right, Ethan, let's go.
Lungs of steel.
All right, things are getting exciting over here.
We just caught some wind.
It's a big one.
We're going places now.
Last dinner of our camping trip.
And Sophie planned for us pasta with grilled chicken and tomato sauce with mushrooms.
And also, she got us a huge salad as well.
Leggo.
Cheers.
Yep, we're all packed up.
I mean, at least they are.
They're heading out first because we'll see them in a few hours at church.
But it's an early start to the morning, taking their breakfast to go.
We're wrapping up campsite.
Thanks for joining us.
Bye, guys.
We'll see you in a little bit.
It was enjoyable.
It was fun.
Somehow enjoyable.
Somehow, just 50%.
See you, Andy.
Well, we're tired, but we got to hit the road in order to get to church on time.
So thanks for joining us on this weekend's fun adventures out at Stave Lake.
And we'll catch you guys next time.
Peace.
