baseball has a ton of different
personalities and types of people which
makes it so great there's players from
all over the world all different sizes
and even a lot of the American players
are different from other American
players it's the most one-sized dozen
Fit sport there is and that's part of
the beauty of it all different styles of
play different styles of personality and
just ways of going about things and with
this comes some very likable players
along with the unlikable players Most
baseball players and athletes in general
are good people because like anything
most people are good people there's just
some Bad Eggs here and there that
sometimes make a big group look bad but
most people aren't bad just like most
baseball players most of them you either
don't know much about or you do know
more about them and you love them
because they're cool funny interesting
whatever so as far as likable players
you have someone like for example Aaron
judge or Mookie Betts Mike Trout those
guys are cool they're nice they're not
maybe you'll feel like they're
mean when they smash a home run against
your team but the main point is as
people they seem pretty relatable and
those are the best types of public
figures the ones who don't act like
they're above anyone else and you feel
like you can have a genuine conversation
with them Tyler glas now to me just
seeing him talking interviews and stuff
that guy genuinely seems like a chill
dude you can just be around I want to be
around him I want to have lunch with
that dude he doesn't seem like a rich
hard throwing starting pitcher for the
Dodgers so there's plenty of players
like that but then you have the most
wholesome players wholesome isn't quite
the same as nice nice is part of it but
it's kind of more there's something else
to it it's the players that just give
you really good vibes without even
having to do much just simple gestures
or things they say and maybe little
things that they do or whatever that
make your heart melt you can just tell
that person means well so welcome back
to the channel or welcome if it's your
first time over 78% of my watch time is
from people who aren't subscribed so if
you enjoy the video hit that button
along with the bell for post
notifications I'll appreciate it as much
as I appreciate the most wholesome
players in the game show yoani is the
most popular one obviously and we all
know and talk about him because of how
good he is but he's also a very
wholesome person he's nice to everyone
the fan F his teammates opponents the
umpires I feel like the day Shi gets
ejected will be the day the world ends
it just seems so out there of a concept
he's too nice he's too genuine he's too
all the above that you can imagine so
there's him but there's also some newer
players in the league I want people to
really know about and understand how
wholesome they are compared to most
people and athletes it seems the Cub
signed seya Suzuki from Japan a couple
years ago an outfielder and he picked to
wear number 27 for the team why number
27 well Suzuki gave us the simple answer
himself Mike toout I love
you and Suzuki has of course only gone
on to just be a nice uncontroversial
funny and kind dude to everyone a year
after the Suzuki signing the Red Sox
signed Japanese outfielder masaki
Yoshida and since joining Boston like
Suzuki no issues at all with anything
off the field or in the clubhouse I mean
part of me is a little scared seeing him
ride this scooter around town but it's
still badass everyone on the socks loves
Yoshida but all of this was expected
when he introduced himself to America
and in particular Red Sox fans in the
best way possible during his
introductory press conference with the
team in Media Watch
[Music]
hi masataka I'm masataka nice to meet
you I'm 29 years old uh I have played uh
in or BOS for 7 years seven year uh I
don't speak English so nervous
uh I want to I want to learn English and
I want to uh speak it uh my
daughters
uh as sooner than my
[Music]
daughters I'm more to be a uh Red Red
Sox
Nation uh
I I be do do my best thank
you that is not an easy thing to do it
can be very embarrassing to do something
like that you can really tell he
practiced and did his best to learn some
English for that little opening and I
just find that so cool he's trying I was
so angry when the kid and family who
came up with yoshida's first home run
baseball didn't give it back they didn't
even catch it or receive it first it was
some other dude who was a fan of the
team the Red Sox were playing that night
the Pirates so as a kind gesture he gave
the ball to a kid only for that kid and
his family to say nope this is ours now
and the Red Sox try to exchange it for
something you didn't even catch it and
now you have a chance to get more stuff
for it while also doing something nice
but you want to be selfish ridiculous
behavior in my opinion and a lot of
people agreed with me that's not just me
but overall Yoshida didn't throw a fit
about it and I know he'll never say a
bad thing about those people because
that's just the kind of man he is he was
also saying that he doesn't think he
deserves the Rookie of the Year award
simply because of his age look
a go with it I like it yeah there's a
couple more the most recent amazing ones
but you'll notice basically all the
wholesome players I'm talking about in
this video are from Asia Japan or Korea
and there's a reason for that it's not a
coincidence the way people are in Asian
countries are just so great because they
are taught at such a young age to be
good human beings to be respectful and
that includes being respectful to their
Elders the ones that came before them
they're taught to work hard be kind help
others by all the authoritarian figures
in their life their parents their
teachers who are all there to help them
there is a lot of culture there good
culture and as a result of all this do
you see drugs everywhere in these
countries how about gang members mass
shootings people breaking into stores or
robbing people no Tokyo for example a
massive City it's basically New York
City but infinitely cleaner and
infinitely safer you should be more
worried about missing the train than
getting mugged it's just so fascinating
to me that you can have such a big
colorful bright pretty populated city
without many issues but Tokyo does it
and so does Japan and South Korea as a
whole for example as countries who breed
the best MLB players in Asia so when
Yung hul Le who's from Korea signed his
contract with the San Francisco Giants
recently I was not at all surprised to
see how awesome he was it took just
seconds for us to realize how wholesome
he is he opened up with some words of
his own in English hello GI my name is
Jong
Huli grandson of the
Wind from Korea
first I would like thank the Johnson
family Larry ban and
P also special thank
you my lawyer Scot
bras and BR Corporation I honored to
sell
this day with my mother and
father and thank you for helping
to achieve my dream to play in MLB I am
here to win we always give my best for
teammate and fans let's go
giant thank you he then would put on the
Giants uniform and ask everyone if he
looked handsome
handsome
handsome I already can't wait to see
this guy play just because of his
personality alone not even the talent he
has I
like
oh I
know good luck today congratulations
we're thrilled thank you see see spring
play the Cubs then sign another Japanese
player this time being a pitcher a
left-handed pitcher Shota imaga not
quite as popular and highly touted as
yoshinobu Yamamoto but still a good
pitcher and rotation piece for Chicago
and just like the other players I've
talked about in this video he
immediately let everyone in America know
how great he is and this one may be the
absolute best so it's his introductory
press conference with the Cubs and this
is what sha had to say hey
Chicago what do you
[Applause]
say K's going to win
today amazing within 0.2 seconds of me
watching this video imanaga became one
of my favorite players in the game I
genuinely couldn't stop smiling and
laughing when watching it it just made
me so happy seeing things like this and
people act this way or just it just
makes me happy The Vibes are high with
imanaga and all the other guys I
mentioned let me know who you think the
most wholesome player in baseball is
thank you for watching subscribe if you
enjoyed this video and I'll see you soon
