The wind...
The wind was the hard part.
All the rest was good.
It's a nice road.
Up and down.
Let's see if someone can help us tonight.
And this is the end of the day.
This is where we're going to sleep tonight.
On the floor of a kindergarten school.
The only way we have to go back is by doing this.
Leaving Latacunga.
We're heading to Ambato.
It's probably like 34 kilometers.
This time we already have a place to stay.
So we finally arrived to Ambato.
We stopped along the way.
Beautiful journey.
We're now buying some stuff on the supermarket.
And then we go visit our host.
And this was our room.
We're leaving today to Banos.
It's going to be around 40 kilometers.
The journey starts now.
It's 6 p.m.
We just arrived to a small town.
I don't have any idea where we are.
The light is getting low.
We just reached 700 meters altitude.
And we're getting exhausted.
We have to get some sleep.
We have no idea how it's going to end up.
But we have faith.
Let's see if we can actually eat Banos today.
Let's see.
We made it.
We arrived to Banos around 8.30.
We just got this shop open.
So we asked the lady if she could do something.
And she's doing milkshakes for us.
We don't have a place to stay.
So...
The adventure is still going.
Tired.
Long day.
But beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
There's nothing to say wrong about today.
It was beautiful. Super beautiful.
Our first day in Puyo.
We are in Obrero.
Peter is our host.
He also is a cyclist.
And he invited us to stay at his house.
And he's now showing a little bit
the touristic area of Puyo.
Cacao.
Pure cacao.
Interesting.
Let him try.
And from here you take the cacao.
Puyo, it's our first time in Amazonia area.
And we can actually feel how green it is.
And how this Amazonia sounds.
Now the weather is getting hot and humid.
We feel more the tropical weather.
You can see there's almost no mountains around.
Everything became really flat and green.
We are leaving now this place to go to...
I think the waterfall.
This was probably the funniest thing I've ever seen
with kids riding bicycles.
It's all amateur, organized by local guys.
It was fun to see the kids trying to cycle with their feet.
Now I guess we're going to the waterfall.
We just had an excellent day
enjoying the waterfall.
It was so refreshing to be in the water
for a little while.
I miss water.
I miss being in the nature
and the water most of all.
So for me it was perfect.
It was a relief from the mountains and bicycle.
Perfect.
It's 6.30 and we need to start packing
because the weather changed.
And during the most half of the day
we cannot travel because it's going to be too hot.
So the routine of waking up at 6 in the morning
like Colombia North, North Colombia
it's again coming.
So it's heavy and tiring.
So it's way more difficult to...
Thank you rooster
to remind me that I should pedal my bike.
That's how we start with my eyes glued
and trying to wake up
and trying to get out of the hot zones.
you
