(Bundesliga 2023/2024): Highlights RB Leipzig - Eintracht Frankfurt

To get back in the Germany squad, they're such a carrot for so many players. Oh, that's dangerous ball! Brilliant goal! Ansgar Knauff applies the finish, but what a cross it was. And RB Leipzig absolutely stunned. That is a goal of the highest quality. This is a delightful ball behind the defence. And Knauff was just waiting for that, ran onto it, did everything right, just got it on target, doesn't hit it too hard, places it. And out of nothing, they've got the first. It's summer signing Nielsen Kunkus delivered that. Brought in from Saint-Étienne in the summer. They're looking good. They're looking really, really good at the moment, away from home. A debate to take. Nice shape on the ball in, and a free header wide of the target. Uzunov there as Knauff put Simakova under pressure. Covers the ground so quickly. Ansgar Knauff, here's a race between Pacho and Openda. Will it come for Siesko? Benjamin Siesko, still going! Couldn't quite find the bottom corner, but he wasn't far away. Openda, Lois Openda, that was travelling. But again, Frankfurt with men in the way. Schlager, Baumgartner, Openda! Good save by Kevin Trapp, needed to be. I think you were right, I think Uzunov's done well. He does that little cut back and then moves forward. Really, he's chubby. That's a flat clearance, and it's Baumgartner! And he tried to find the top corner. On the front foot for most of that first half, dominating possession, 11 shots to 2, but not scoring from any of them. Nice flick by Siesko, though. Opportunity here, and over the top from Openda. He led back and right underneath it. He's playing really well today, Mario Götze. Here is Knauf, or just behind Götze, Kalaidzic. It's opened up here for Nkunku, and it is scooped over the top by Götze. It wasn't meant to be across. Simak, looking for a round. Looking for company, but he's skipped away from him. Openda, straight out, Trapp. Forward by Schlager, Xavi away from Nkunku this time. Hendricks, Hendricks with the shot. Good save. Got down really sharply there. Short this time. Again, round with the ankle. Again, a good delivery, and the header over the top. It's all over. It is a superb away display by Eintracht Frankfurt. The first team to come here and win in the Bundesliga against Leipzig since April. They did it with an early goal. Don't let those expected goals figures fool you.
