Cockatoo Jealous of Owner’s Baby Son Finally Falls in Love

I think I underestimated a bit to have a Catu and a kids in one family I had um the dream scenario in my head like Mar is going to love the baby and the baby's going to love Marne and we're going to be like one big happy family but uh in the end we came home with Ry and Marney jumped on Ry so luckily my reflexes were well so we could like make sure that he didn't get on the baby I Ed Marney about over 7 years ago Marne is a real Curious bird he likes to be guddled and likes to be PR he needs a lot of attention he can be really sassy and loud and really naughty Marney knew for I think about five four years only life with me there's somebody new and then he's a bit jealous so you have to let them get to used to each other that they both know the new situation that they know was a new normal it is so important to still have both time with your kids and the birds I can't leave him in his cage or alone he really has to have some time with me I try to give him his best life what I did for Mary to not be left out was that I try to engage him as much as I could in the moments in the time that spent with Ry the moment Ry was in his bed at night then Marney sat with us and we had a lot of quality time now I also mainly work at home so then he sits also up with me when I'm working when I don't have any meetings Mary not really changed his behavior it's just like he accepted somebody new in the family and I really think he likes uh he likes Ry as well although when Remy is a little bit too enthusiastic he can also show his disapproval or his disliking and he'll he'll let me know like not the kid is too much for now when we have feeding moments when Remy was drinking his milk he was sitting close by when Remy was playing alone he was just sitting close by looking observing watching on the other hand he had to be patient with Remy but on the other hand Remy also had to be really gentle with him and kids can be they don't know their their Force so like you have to be really soft softly touch him really softly to show that he has to have respect with animals so they take care for each other always when when Remy wakes up he wants to go to the the cage of Marney and sometimes also so surprised and so happy like he's going to say hello Marney is like so happy to see him in the morning and to touch him and to to cuddle him in the evening he'll say I want to give a cuddle to Marney and not to me or I want to kiss [Music] Marney they're both very messy so it involves a lot of cleaning and a lot of attention I would say that there're sometimes a bit partners in crime they can do naughty stuff [Music] together I think having Marney around has definitely a positive influence to Remy because yeah he's very curious and and he learns how Mary's brain is working and what why he's doing something and that he's naughty and he's [Music] sweet he's very affectionate with nor as well has learned on an early age to have respect for animal and the interaction between them too is really yeah I would say magic sometimes and it's really cute and it really warms my heart actually to see them bir together and I already knew like okay this bird's going to be 80 years old so he's going to outlive me I always said like Mary is lifetime commitment my dream scenario is still he lives with me until he goes live by himself then I'm going to let him live with him it's a busy life with a Catu and a toddler actually two toddlers in my house but it's really nice yeah just like don't give up easily byebye [Music] byee [Music]
