Philadelphia trading Patrick
Beverly to the Milwaukee Bucs.
I think that may speak to some
potential confidence that the
Sixers could potentially add
Kyle Lowry assuming he gets a
contract buyout with the
Charlotte Hornets or that he's
not traded here before the
deadline somewhere else where
it where a team would want to
keep him.
But certainly you know Lowry has
always dreamed about playing for
his hometown 76ers.
So I think moving Patrick
Beverly out speaks to perhaps
the potential of setting that
into motion once Lowry gets a
buyout.
Yeah Kyle Lowry a Philly guy.
That would be something to see.
Woj thank you so very much for
spending a little bit more time.
I just say this trade whenever
he brings out the fingers on
trade deadline day we all turn
and pay very close to trade with
Milwaukee and Philly is
fascinating.
I don't think I've ever seen a
trade with two teams so side by
side with each other in the
standings making a deal with
each other like I'd almost be
like if I was Milwaukee and I
know Doc you'd like a little bit
I think Doc was like get me
anybody you can defend just
you'll find somebody you can
defend especially if they play
with me before.
But if Doc if if Philly was
willing to trade him to the
Bucs I would almost be like
maybe I don't want to.
Why would I want somebody who I
got who's right next to me in
the standings looking to do a
deal with me.
That's crazy.
And I mean I'm not talking about
Pat Betts.
I'm just saying that's a really
strange set of it's not it's not
really strange though Wendy
because it's relationships.
You've got to realize that more
was the first guy to give
Patrick Beverly an opportunity.
And so we don't like we really
don't know which direction the
Philadelphia 76ers are going in
this year.
So I'm pretty sure there are
more.
And Patrick Beverly had a
conversation that hey the Bucs
want to get you here.
And so they don't know.
It sounds like he was told he
wasn't going to be traded.
That's what it sounds like.
But a pair of lips to say why
the hell would you believe
anything.
Well that and I mean it's hard
to express to us that he didn't
necessarily believe in the
six or four front office with
the things that they would say
that has had a career has had
several times in his career
where he has been traded at the
deadline day because the guy
moves around the league and he's
helped his new team.
Yeah I actually think it's an
interesting trade.
The Bucs only had two second
round picks they could trade and
they traded one of them for
Beverly.
I'm just saying not only could
these two teams play to the
playoffs they're fighting for
the next two months for seating.
Right.
And the and the Sixers just help
the Bucs.
This is what said the Sixers
must have done it for a reason.
And maybe it's because they know
that they've got his
replacement already lined up.
