Hi! I ordered some clothing pieces this week that I thought was chic and classic from Massimo dutti and Mango. The outfits in this video I feel are timeless and depending on how you style and take care of them you will have them for years in your warderobe. I do take good care of my clothes and every piece I want to last for years I always wash in a wash bag and let air dry. I hope you enjoy this lookbook.
Hello! Today's video is a try-on haul with some classic pieces from Massimo Dutti and Mango.
And I need you to tell me if I should keep the blazer or not.
So I'm starting off with some pieces from Massimo and this kind of two-in-one blazer.
When I saw it online I really liked it because it was a little bit different
than other blazers, with these layers in the sleeves and the body.
And with that layering effect around the waist you can wear it
so it looks like you have a cropped blazer, if you tuck it in your trousers,
which essentially makes it a two-in-one blazer, depending on how you style it.
Well, if you have a long torso like me then this doesn't really work 100%,
since I can't tuck it all the way up to that shorter layer.
But if you have a medium or short torso then this would probably work great for you.
I love the look of this blazer, but since the price was high
and I can't really wear it two different ways as I'd hoped, I'm not sure if it's worth it.
I would have liked the option to keep it closed also, with one hidden button.
So maybe I will send this one back.
Next is this white blouse.
I love the shape of this piece and it has a very timeless and classic look to it.
I took a size extra small and it's too small for me around my upper chest area,
so this one has to go back.
It's a kind of crepe fabric and I have styled it with black pleated trousers from Naked.
I am a huge fan of pleats on trousers.
It gives you such a nice shape and if you have narrow hips,
it gives you some balance to your body.
Another fine and timeless piece from Massimo.
This is one of my go-to outfit formulas when I don't know what to wear.
A nice cardigan with tailored trousers.
Comfortable and chic.
Again, I should have taken a size small and not an extra small,
because the sleeves are a little bit too short on me.
Love the look of these buttons.
Almost like a little bit of ceramic or stones up close,
but they are hard to open and the eyelets are very tight.
Maybe they will loosen up after they have been used a couple of times.
Next are some pieces from Mango and I have been after a thick knitted polo sweater
in a neutral color.
This sweater really looks and feels like wool, but it is not,
so if you have an allergy, this one is perfect.
I think this fabric will peel a lot, but even cashmere will peel a lot,
so you just have to keep up with that peeling machine
and wash it, preferably in a washing bag.
Super cozy and I love the big color.
It would look great with jeans and a belt,
but for this look I chose brown trousers from the Frankie shop and brown suede Adidas.
And as you maybe noticed in this video, my love for trousers are strong.
This is quite an expensive singlet for being Mango, but it is 100% silk.
I did really like the v-neck and it has a shape,
so you can wear a bra under without the straps showing.
It is ribbed, which I think conforms to your body
and gives it a little bit more definition.
I am all about high rise bottoms 90% of the time,
but sometimes I like a more low slung trouser.
It gives a little bit more of a relaxed look
and works great if you are wearing a tight top that's not cropped.
Since the weather is still cold, I layer a shirt or sweater over it for now.
When I saw this sweatshirt from Mango,
I liked that it was thin enough to tuck into your jeans or trousers,
without looking too bulky.
And I really like the chest pockets, which makes it look kind of boxy, which I like.
Something for those more casual days for lounging or dog walks,
but easy to elevate with some kitten boots, trousers and jewellery of your choice.
