so many people ask us all the time which
printer is best for my Cricket my name
is Lauren and I'm a crafers are here at
makers going to learn where we love to
bring you inspiration education and
motivation on all things crafty and
today we're going to talk about
printers so the question is what printer
is best for my Cricket the short answer
we love an inkjet printer and not only
injet printer we are obsessed with the
Canon line when it comes to printers
these printers are truly topnotch
especially the pixm Malon when it comes
to printing on different materials
especially shiny sticker paper and
things like that these printers are set
up to print on those specialty papers
this one here is specifically our
favorite this is the Canon ts9 99500
series and up until recently we had one
here in our studio that had lasted us
years now if you've been around the
channel and you're part of the
membership you know me and Alicia kind
of ruined the last one but that was our
fault and not the machines had it not
been for us this machine would still be
going so we did purchase another one
because we truly think that it is one
that you cannot beat the quality of
prints that we get from this printer are
truly topnotch and I just don't think
there is one out there that can beat it
now this printer specifically it does
have an option you can use it as a
copier now when it comes to Cricut and
design space you're not going to use
that feature specifically just know that
that option is there when it comes to
this printer but what I truly love about
this printer is this rear tray and being
able to print on 12x 12 card stock
another thing thing that I absolutely
love about this printer is the fact that
I can put super thick card stock in the
rear tray here and it feeds through
beautifully we have never had an issue
with card stock that's 120 lb it pulls
it through there like it's nothing so I
do absolutely love that feature about
this printer now I want to hop over to
our share screen so I can share with you
where you can find this printer and
really look at the specs because I think
this is one that you're going to want to
get here on Amazon this is the exact
printer that we have this one is in
Black we just have it in white this is
going to be linked down below at this
time of filming this the price of this
printer is $200 which in my opinion is
one it's a great great deal I think we
paid about 230 229 when we purchased it
so this is a great deal for this printer
currently but this printer has five
individual ink systems it is a cartridge
printer and I will show you exactly how
you can do that it is Bluetooth
compatible you can print via your Wi-Fi
connection without having to connect
manually to your computer there is a
scanner like I showed you plus it is so
simple to set up now another thing that
we always get questions about is how
much does the ink for this printer cost
so let's just go ahead and look here you
can see these are the ones that we
purchased here in our office so it's
going to run you about $30
$35 for all five colors which is
actually a pretty good deal because in
all honesty we don't have to change the
ink out on this printer very
often now I did talk about how I love
the rear tray and honestly that's the
one that we use 90 to 95% of the time
but just so you know there is a bottom
tray here that we do keep regular paper
in for regular printing in case we need
it um and the the largest size on this
is going to be 8 1/2 by 14 but when it
comes to printing specialty materials we
always use this rear tray so we keep it
up and put our specialty materials here
and let's go ahead and talk about the
materials that we have used in this
printer that we love here are just a few
of the different materials that we have
used in this printer um starting with
the Caesar easy color DTV now when we
first got this one of the things that I
was afraid of is that this specific
material because it's slick on both
sides would be hard for a printer to
pull it through however this printer
does great with pulling the Caesar
easycolor DTV through we have never had
an issue uh water slide decal paper is
another one that we we have used in this
printer um that we love it just goes
through flawlessly it's so beautiful and
then of course our sticker paper from
our favorite zoto to Cricut and HTV rant
all of these are great and we've never
had an issue with the printer and these
papers while we're overhead I also want
to talk about other the quality I mean
y'all look at the quality of this print
from this printer I just don't know that
you are going to get a better quality
and color payout from any other type of
printer I think it just gives you such a
good Rich colors that I think you can't
beat it so if you are in the market for
a new inkjet printer to use with your
Cricut I highly suggest either the Canon
ts9500 series or really any Canon
printer in the Pixma Lon that can print
anything up to 8 1/2 by 11 if if you
