hi guys and welcome back to my channel
if you are new welcome my name is Hannah
and on this channel we talk all things
home decor home Aesthetics mixing high
and low with new and old and in today's
video we are discussing some of the best
aesthetically pleasing decor items to
add to your bathroom so if this is
something you are interested in watching
just keep on watching all right I'm
actually really excited to film this
type of video because I have yet to do
one of these videos on my channel so in
today's video I'm going to do a
miniature kind of haul of decor items
for a bathroom really items that are
going to be very aesthetically pleasing
giving you more of that like Spa look to
your bathroom while still being
functional so I'm going to go through
the decor items and then the second
portion of today's video I'm actually
going to show you how I style them in my
open shelving in my bathroom so recently
in my primary bathroom we removed one of
our cabinets and did some floating
shelves instead and I really love how
this space turned out for my primary
bathroom and then I'm going to be
bringing you guys a a bathroom reveal we
have done a very kind of small minor
remodel on our primary bathroom so I'm
going to give you guys that in a few
weeks as well as ways to style the
countertops for a bathroom I did one of
these videos a while back so I'm just
going to do kind of a refresher on some
different styles but hopefully you guys
enjoyed today's video without further
Ado let's get into it all right so this
first item is obviously a no-brainer
towels are essential when it comes to a
bathroom space but when you are thinking
about styling a bathroom I definitely
recommend bringing in something with a
really muted pattern and texture so I
picked up this towel from World Market
it's got a really beautiful kind of
cream underlay with the white pattern on
top so you're definitely getting more of
a three-dimensional look but there's
bringing texture and this muted pattern
which I feel is very visually
interesting for a bathroom it's still
keeping things neutral but it's got a
little bit of that pattern which I think
is really really important now as a side
note most of these items are from World
Market which is somewhere I high
recommend shopping they have the coolest
stuff when it comes to bathroom very
aesthetically pleasing to the eye
packaging is very minimal and they have
something just a little bit different
than you know our go-to targets and
HomeGoods and whatnot they really do
have a beautiful selection of bathroom
decor so be sure to check them out but
again first item essential got to get
yourself some really beautiful hand
towels second item is a riser of some
sort I love styling with risers because
obviously they take a flat surface and
then they make your eye go up and down
down they elevate something and they
just take a flat space and just add a
little bit something extra this is
vintage which I know is not everybody's
cup of tea they do make nice modern
risers as well but I love this one for
its warmth character and again just
elevating my space which you guys will
see how I style this in my bathroom I
think risers can also be used towards
your sink area these are great for
putting your soap dispensers on or if
maybe you have a brush there's a lot of
really great ways to utilize risers
they're kind of one of those just staple
items that I think everybody should have
in their toolbox very Universal so the
second item is a lovely riser for your
bathroom decor third item is canisters
now canisters can be used in multiple
ways I'm going to give you guys two
variations so the first canister I have
is this really fun marble canister with
the brass detailing you guys will see
this is very beautiful very Luxe heavy
to the touch this is from World Market
and I paid $15 for it these are great
for obviously hiding things we don't
want to advertise maybe your Q-tips
maybe your cotton balls hair scrunchies
whatever you are into that you kind of
need essentially on your countertops or
in your shelving these are great love
the material because it obviously is
going to elevate it because it is a
natural stone so option one canister
option two canister is something that is
glass I picked up two of these from The
Crate and Barrel outlet love these for
something that is a little bit more
decorative so I have have these
displayed in the open shelving that you
guys will see this one has sponges the
other one which is a hair bit larger has
some decorative soaps in it so if you're
wanting to go for more of that styled
look a glass canister would be great if
you're wanting to actually hide useful
actual things that you are using I would
definitely maybe do something that is
solid so you don't see it so again two
different types of canisters essential
for your B next items are definitely
more decorative but they are useful so I
picked these up from what do you know
World Market I picked up these bath
salts and I loved the packaging of them
because they are so minimal very Spa
inspired type style I picked up two of
these I have this one which is a bath
milk this has a little bit of uh what
looks like lavender in there so that's
the first one again very clean packaging
cork top and then I picked up it sister
so I actually have these styled together
like this this is a bath salt that has
basil and orange infus in it so you're
definitely getting a really beautiful
look but you can still use these if you
have a bathtub again World Market and I
picked these guys up for $12.99 a piece
I think TJ Maxx or Marshalls has things
similar to this but again packaging is
really what I look for I wanted
something that was very clean and simple
and these just really spoke to me so
bath salt functional but also very
beautiful another thing that I brought
in from World Market again packaging is
everything to me I brought in this
really fun bath oil so this is a honey
suckle and white flour bath and shower
oil this could be beautifully styled on
a bath caddy so if you have a bath caddy
again or if you want to put this on open
shelving useful but it's also very
decorative and beautiful I love that
it's got this like beautiful floating
flower in there for just some extra
added visual interest and I just loved
everything so bath salts if you are a
bath a bathy like me that is the next
item on our bath de Decor list another
essential thing for bathroom styling is
scrub brushes back scrubbers things to
obviously scrub your body natural lofas
functional but also very beautiful I
recommend going with something that has
more of that natural appearance so like
a natural wood like this it has the
cloth and canvas type strap here it's
definitely neutral it's not one of those
like super bright in-your-face lofas
these will definitely be beautiful to be
styled with but also again very
functional that is the key of this video
beautiful and also functional you guys
will see in my open styling I actually
have it styled like this where I have
the beautiful hand towels and then I
have my little scrub brush there right
on top so anything that has to do with
scrubbing yourself cleaning yourself
definitely go with something that is a
little bit more natural not brightly
colored for more aesthetic and neutral
appearance this next item is not I would
say essential but it definitely adds
another layer of just visual interest to
a style if you are doing doing something
with shelving in a bathroom I love
decorative bowls and I actually brought
in this vintage marble mortar to house
some of my bath salt so I will do a
b-roll showing you guys how and what
that looks like I just placed some of
the bath salts in there with a little
scooper I do actually use it so bowls of
some sort to house you know your bath
salts or any Essentials your hair ties
again whatever you want to have maybe
stored away in something bowls are
really really great way to house it but
also make it feel very Lux and elevated
again this is a vintage marble mortar
that I use for multiple ways so that's
the next item all right two more
bathroom essentials you cannot go wrong
with a tray I picked this beautiful
travertine scalloped Edge tray from
Marshalls I think trays are so great to
style with with honestly every aspect of
your home but when it comes to a
bathroom I think trays are a great way
to style and to kind of ground a space
so I actually have a tray used to house
all of my facial products on I've seen
people use this to have maybe their
bathroom soaps or or even putting your
canisters on there like you really could
get very creative with trays they are
very Universal item and I think they can
be used in multiple ways a bathroom is
definitely essential and again I picked
this tray up from Marshall now the last
bathroom item which I wouldn't say is
essential but it is something that I
have used for a while I hate having
water bottles and cantens all over my
nightstands and whatnot I know that
might not be for everybody but obviously
I'm one that enjoys having more of an
aesthetic look if that's not your cup of
tea if you don't mind having cups on
your side of your nightstand by all
means please continue to do what you do
but I picked up a watercraft a little
bit ago I actually got this on Amazon it
looks like this it's got the beautiful
ripped detailing gold trim and it does
come with two glasses so you just put
put water in there and then you just
cover the top of it so I actually have
this housed in our drop station with all
of these shelvings so when I do get a
little bit thirsty I just have this
styled nicely in my bathroom area now
again this is not essential if you but I
definitely did want to gear this video
to those that like having that more
beautiful and kind of clean aesthetic
look for areas like our bathrooms and so
this watercraft is the last item for
decor items now I'm going to take you
guys into my my bathroom do keep in mind
it is a rather cloudy day here in San
Diego and this area that we are going to
be filming is very dark I will do my
best but we're going to go in and I'm
going to show you how it is that I style
all these decor items on my bathroom
shelving okay so here is our open
shelving in my primary bathroom this is
the hallway that connects from my
bedroom into our bathroom and where
these shelves used to be was a big
cabinet that matches the bottom one that
you guys will see here these shelves
were actually the same material same
thickness and everything from our other
open shelving that my husband built for
us so unfortunately these cannot be
linked these were built by my husband
utilizing uh some leftover product from
our other shelving project so these
shelves are pretty tall so I'm not going
to try to show you guys the top styling
what I did was I have a uh you guys can
see there's a mirror up there there's a
little arched mirror to reflect some
light I have a beautiful geode Crystal
and I also have um some Greenery so I
definitely think bringing in some
Greenery when it comes to styling
shelving especially in a bathroom we'll
just give it a little bit more of that
organic feel some color and some texture
so now I'm going to show you guys how I
style these leftover two shelves all
right so first we're starting with the
Vintage marble mortar I'm just going to
have this styled as is and we're going
to be doing it to the far
left the next items that are going to be
going in the center I I have those
towels that we already discussed these
are from World Market I love the texture
the color is super neutral and I have
them really nicely stacked one on top of
the other and then we're bringing in
that really fun brush just to go right
on top so it's going to look like this
while it is styled so that's going to go
right there in the
center I apologize for this angle the
lighting this is such a hard place to
film so bear with me the last item for
this shelf we're going to be bringing in
those marble canisters and I actually
have two of them so we're going to to be
styling them side by side but I love the
fact that this is bringing in that
really Luxe material we're bringing in
the marble we're mixing different tones
here with the other elements that are on
the shelves so again we're going to be
pairing two side by
side and I just love how that looks I
know a lot of designers strive for doing
things in odd numbers but I definitely
think sometimes things in twos look
better so don't be afraid to not be in
the the rules of styling an odd numbers
again sometimes things look better in
even numbers all right so for the last
shelf here I have two more canisters
those glass ones that I showed you guys
I have the one that has the decorative
sponges I also have this one which is
larger in size it has really beautiful
all organic soap hand soaps in there so
I light these styled together or one
thing to take in consideration we
already have the canisters right here so
I would never style canisters directly
underneath it so to count balance that
we're going to style these over here in
this corner so that way there is balance
and
symmetry so you guys can see the balance
between the two canisters there but
they're different one obviously is glass
and the other one is a marble so again
things that you want to be seen things
that are decorative glass things you
don't want seen grab something that's a
little bit more solid if you would have
caught my styling video when it comes to
open shelving I talk about how to
Cluster and what to do with each shelf
the top the very top shelf has two
clusters this middle Shelf has a cluster
of three all the way across so now I'm
going to do another two clusters here
one in this corner and then another here
so we're bringing in that vintage Riser
that we discussed this is awesome for
again elevating anything that you want
to have kind of on display I love these
I love that it has character and it's
very neutral to the tones in the rest of
this
style
and as if we were at a spa we are
bringing in those really beautiful
decorative bottles from World Market
with our bath salts I love that these
are the packaging is the same on the
fronts but you have different types of
salts so there's a little bit of visual
interest there too instead of it just
being the same these are going to go
directly on top of that little wooden
Riser and that look cute you can't tell
me this doesn't look like we just walked
into the nailer Spa that beautiful all
right so moving on to the bottom portion
of this area this is kind of the drop
station I do house my jewelry here I
just don't have it on display cuz I
don't want it to be a distraction but
we're going to do a tray with the
watercraft that we talked about so
bringing in that really beautiful
travertine scalloped tray I'm going to
be putting that on one corner of my
style I love having things at a diagonal
I know it's hard for you guys to see but
then I'm just going to place that
watercraft right on top so bringing in
my watercraft I have the cup on top just
so things don't get inside of it and the
extra
cup and then you kind of have a
beautiful little St one more thing to
add before I close this video out if you
are in the same kind of predicament as
me with you have kind of the same setup
I would definitely recommend maybe a
vertical piece of artwork here that way
there's not this huge gap between the
shelving again we had the cabinet here
so that's where those ended up going but
this is a functional spot for me I have
my jewelry here but I definitely think a
really beautiful piece of artwork would
be nice you could even bring some more
Greenery that way it counteracts the one
all the way at the top but hopefully
this video came as a guide for you when
it comes to your own bathroom and until
the next video I love you guys so much
thank you for being here and we'll see
you guys in my next video
