This week on COMING ATTRACTIONS Matt & Joy discuss the upcoming film ORDINARY ANGELS with the film's producer Andrew Erwin.
Based on a remarkable true story, ORDINARY ANGELS centers on Sharon (Hilary Swank), a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed (Alan Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels.

Ordinary Angels was a star vehicle where we got to go after a couple of movie stars
uh to do something really really special and
You know, it came to us from an unlikely source. Um, Dave Matthews of the Dave Matthews band
Uh, I was gonna ask you. I mean that's like, yeah, you know, yeah, he's the producer on it. Wow
It's like yeah, and he's not crashing to me. Dave Matthews
exact that one and so, uh, so, you know, he's not particularly, um, you know
an outspoken person of faith
But he saw this news clip this story
Fell in love with it and championed it for years that this needs to be a movie
That ended up at lion's gate and lion's gate our parent company said this is a strong story of faith
You guys need to take a look at it this story where this church gets to be the hero at the end of the movie
and uh, and we watched uh, the the news clippings and we're like, oh my gosh, that's southeast christian church
The chairman of our board is an elder at that church. We know it well
and so
so we just kind of set out to make it and then all of a sudden two-time oscar winner hillary swank comes on board wants to
Be a part of it and then alan richson from the reacher series who is also a christian. Uh,
He decided he wanted to do the film and next thing, you know
