Rep Dittrich on Licensing Paraprofessionals

you know I'm so Sinister and against public schools haha that I actually want to help my public schools fill teaching vacancies and this bill allows there to be a type of almost like an apprenticeship program I'm always hearing from my colleagues on the other side of the aisle about the notion of local control and the beauty about this bill is that it allows that local control where a principal or administrator sees a prayer professional that's doing outstanding work and says hey they would really make a great teacher the par professional has to serve three days a week in the district um that they are recommended for this pathway they have to stay in the district that they're recommended for this pathway and it really allows them this provisional license to step into that position where they're desperately needed more needed than the par professional role and to fill that Gap um Mr Speaker the vote is green on this it's so easy to see that we have a a unique tool that we can add to our school district's tool chest
